Is there a way to manually re-sync the audio track to the video track in an MP4 file? This is a breeze in Vegas Pro, but I don't see anything that seems to permit it in VMW 6
After activation/validation is already performed, can the computer be disconnected from the Internet?
As long as no updates are applied to smart renderer 5, the software is not moved to a new computer, the computer's OS/hardware is not changed, etc., will the software then function indefinitely after initial activation/validation, or will the software require the computer to be connected to the Internet periodically in order to continue functioning?
That's pretty much a deal killer for me. That is ridiculous and inexcusable for software to require phoning in to Big Brother regularly or it'll stop working.
Activation by itself is not a deal killer. Revalidating if the software is being updated or moved to another machine is not a deal killer either. But this goes way beyond that.
It's not phoning in to "Big Brother", but to the company that made the program. No need to get paranoid. Having said that, it does make the program more difficult to use, but I guess it's an anti-piracy measure.
I run windows 10 and I use the Task View feature in which I have 3 desktops setup within for multitasking. I noticed MPEG Smart Render 5 shows up on all desktops and not just the one I load the program on. Will there be a fix for this in the future?
I'm taking .MTS files from a Panasonic AG-AC90 (AVCHD) and having to convert them to either an MPEG 1, 2, or 4(h.264). I have hundreds of hours to do.
My question is: how do I best approach maximizing my hyperthreaded cores (4) with the batch encode tool? I've upped the usable logical cores to 7 for my hyperthreaded quad core. Are there output settings aside from NVENC that would limit the amount of files able to be encoded at once? If I take one project of 15 clips to be transcoded into individual files (not combined) from TMPEG VM 6 and send it to the batch encode tool, should I see it encoding up to 7 clips at the same time?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to flesh out what I should expect to see and if I could be more efficient.
TMSR5 not support AC3 (Dolby Digital) 640kbps audio stream for output without re-encoding! Why??? It's standard bitstream for Dolby Digital audio format!!!
When I make on Audio Fade-In filter with duration just in 1 second for AC3 this leads to re-encoding whole audio track!!! Why??? This filter must take affect just for 1 or 2 seconds (depend of audio frame lenght. for AC3 it just 32ms!)
This morning when I wanted to transcode a file using TVMW5, I got a green screen in the video preview: impossible to read the file. Until yesterday everything was working OK. Nothing happened in the system happened since (software updates, etc.) !
The "offending" files are .AVI encoded with Matrox I-Frame MPEG2 codec ("M701") and play just fine with a.o. Windows Media Player 12. There maybe other AVI codecs that yield the same result, but I haven't tested.
The same problem occurs when I try to open the file with TAW5.
The workaround found is to force DirectShow File reader, instead of leaving the default autoselected AVI File reader.
What's wrong ?
Where's the problem: a codec issue at OS level ? Should I reinstall the Matrox apps & codec ? (But the Matrox apps, as well as WMP12, can still properly play the fles)
A corruption of TMPGEnc apps ? But the problem is the same for TVMW, TAW, why ???
Is there any downside in using the DirectShow File reader vs. the AVI File reader (performance, quality ?) - platform is Win7 SP1
I have several tracks with multiple audio tracks in each one. My global settings are set display the button to select the audio track, but without success.
The 3 audio tracks appear in the source page for each video.
Does your menu have separate track menu pages, or is it top menu only? I believe the audio/subtitle buttons only appear on the track and popup menu pages.
Once an mpeg is encoded, the audio video sync goes off by 1/2 second when playback is from a DVD player. Playback on the computer is just fine, but the sync is lost when the file is played on a player. This is a new development. It has worked just fine for years. Until now. I suspect I have inadvertently changed a setting when I'm at the formatting step. I know how to adjust the sync before encoding, but then the resulting file will work on the player and not on the computer. Please help!!!
