Question - Error with nvenc encoder No.72751
scar69  2026-05-11 06:01:36 ( ID:egao.zrwy.w )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

A while ago I installed the trial version of VMW8, tested it for a day or two and then uninstalled it and went back to VMW6. Since then I have not been able to use the nvenc encoder and I get an error message saying "Cannot use the NVENC encoder. There is a possibility that the encoder is currently being used."

If I try to encode from a batch list the status shows "Waiting until the encoder can be active".

I have tried uninstalling VMW6 multiple times, I have also tried running the cuda optimization from the options menu and have had no luck in resolving this issue. There are no other programs using the nvenc encoder so I'm not sure what is going on.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

I have a very new laptop with a gtx 4070. When exporting tmpegenc is not using any of the gpu/cuda. I have all the settings set up for it and gave it permission in the nvida control panel.

any suggestions where to look?

Ades  2024-01-15 12:43:13 ( ID:nrp09m2aqdn )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You may need to update your Nvidia driver, or check on Nvidia's Control panel > 3D settings > Program settings, check if the software is added, if not click Add select the software, restart your machine and check it.

Question - Zoom-in and Zoom-out No.71842
paulnapaca  Home )  2022-01-05 22:35:04 ( ID:bcb96fqicoh )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I'm just trying to find out how to use Video Mastering Works to zoom-in or zoom-out within a video clip. Currently, I have to use my Corel VideoStudio's "pan and zoom" filter to zoom-in or zoom-out on segments of the video that I am editing but I would rather use Video Mastering Works for all of my video editing.

I've checked the Help documentation, the FAQs, and tried Googling it but I can't find any instructions for zooming-in or out in Video Mastering Works.

Does Video Mastering Works have a zoom function for video editing and, if it does, are there instructions somewhere for how to do it?

Thanks!

Paul

Question - 3:2 pulldown with 59.94 to 24 fps - how do I... No.71597
benoitm  2020-09-01 21:14:06 ( ID:bqo2o.1l24f )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have a 59.94 progressive source for media that is originally 24p.
What settings should I use to achieve 3:2 pulldown & transcode to 1080p24 ??

benoitm  2020-09-01 21:19:22 ( ID:bqo2o.1l24f )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

or will setting the output fps to 24-progressive just work by magic ?
Remember the source is 59.94 *progressive*

benoitm  2020-09-01 21:58:39 ( ID:bqo2o.1l24f )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

just did a quick test without any filter and plain conversion with 59.94p as input and 24p at encode stage: as one could expect, the result is an alternance of moments with perfect motion and moments with stuttering....
So, please what filter settings should I use for this scenario ?
Source is DNxHR in MOV container.

cubdukat  2022-09-21 08:31:48 ( ID:ccbe1u7v.ef )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

The only way I've seen it work in the past is if it was done through AVISynth using the VFAPI loader, but it appears that that no longer works. That's the method that worked with TVMW5, but since TVEM6 I ended up having to turn to MeGUI to encode 24p 720p materials. TVMW in any current form is not the tool to use for that anymore, unfortunately.

Question - HDMI Cloner Box Pro No.71357
Jerry Arnold  2019-08-29 03:50:09 ( ID:vnqcycr3nlj )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Has anyone worked with this device? My mp4 files always appear in Masterworks 6 as RE (re-render), files don't seem to match what Masterworks 6 thinks is "standard" for Blu-ray NTSC standard. They work ok, but to completely re-render the movie takes a LONG time, even with NVIDIA operational.

tkrave  2019-08-30 13:46:42 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You mean Authoring Works 6, right? AW6 seems pretty strict when it comes to what's within standard and what isn't, but it's hard to say what might be causing it to re-render in your case without any data.

Question - New GPU Help No.71296
Matthew/goDEPO  2019-06-13 07:18:03 ( ID:ouxli7mufiw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I just installed a gtx 1050TI on my work computer PC (windows 10 64 bit), downloaded and installed all drivers. The computer and every other program sees the new GPU but TMPG does not see it and wont allow me to look in the preferences to speed up the output in the NVIDIA tab. I have an intel i7-4770 with 16 gig of ram and more free memory than I can shake a stick at. Does anyone know why it wont recognize the new hardware or is there a plug in that I need? Thanks for your help

Question - Subtitles No.71289
Dennis Hartley  2019-06-06 00:27:35 ( ID:77cmmiayntc )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

When editing dvb-ts programs the software can obviously see the subtitle sub-picture stream as it can 'burn' this into the output picture when encoding, however, it would be more useful to have this stream as a separate part of an MKV container as it could then be switched on or off as required. If this isn't possible how about a simple option to save the stream to disk for further processing.

Question - Is there a new Version V7 planned? Release date of English Version? No.71257
HP  2019-04-29 03:19:45 ( ID:fdgxgoimmkc )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hello

I have found "TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works" with Version 7 in Japanese Language on your homepage.

Is there a soon release date for english or german already planned?

Matthias  2019-04-29 18:00:36 ( ID:bxxfqvauell )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

This is a question I am also interested in. I am waiting to buy version 7 because I don't want to spend the money twice. But I never saw an official statement of pegasys, beside release notes there ist not much communication from the company.

For version 6 it took roughly have a year for an English/German version (Japan release 19. December 2014, English relelase 14. May 2015.

Japan release of version 7 was 27. November 2018, so I have hope that the western version is coming soon...

Best regards
Matthias

Request - Furthermore Keyboard-Shortcuts No.71256
HP  2019-04-29 03:17:14 ( ID:fdgxgoimmkc )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hello,

is there a possibility to add Keyboard-Shotcuts to the Software?

Would be nice to have a Shortcut for following Actions:

1. Timeline-Mode -> Right-click on Video in Video-trace -> "Clip in der Vorschauposition trennen" (GERMAN-Text) / means "Split clip at preview position" or equal in English text.

2. Timeline-Mode -> Right-click on time-bar "Keyframe hinzufügen" (GERMAN-Text) / means "Add Keyframe" or equal in English text.

3. Timeline-Mode -> Delete Clip and close Gap

I want to use this Keyboard-Shortcuts to give this functions to the Buttons of my "Contour Shuttle V2" device.

HP  2019-04-29 03:28:49 ( ID:fdgxgoimmkc )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

It's me again - another Shortcuts would be usefull:

4. Timeline-Mode - Zoom of Timeline Preview "-" (MINUS)-Button
5. Timeline-Mode - Zoom of Timeline Preview "+" (PLUS)-Button
6. Timeline-Mode - Zoom of Timeline Preview "Ganz anzeigen" (GERMAN-Text) means "Show full" or equal in English text.

Bug report - Bugs for encode H.265 No.71241
Jason Chiu  Home )  2019-04-14 21:15:22 ( ID:ryzj/tnk9k6 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi Sir/Madam,

I try to convert the video (ts format) to ----> H.265 MKV file.
The video resolution is 1920x 1080

But I found the output file screen is scratches, many small error square holding on the screen in MKV file.

I checked the original file (ts format) by same video player software, but it is normal and no any error/scratches in the same part, so I report to you about this bug issue.

I tried 2 times to convert the video, but still find the same problem in the output file(MKV)

Below is the capture screen between the original file and after encoded file result and send for your comparasion.

1) capture screen (by TS format)

2) capture screen (after encoded by TMPGENC Video Mastering Works 6)
Link : http://firestorage.com/download/9b422034b9b01e9f921e83e289e30b45158fb24d

If you need more information about the video, please free feel to contact me.
If I can provide any information, I am willing to feedback.

Will you can fix the bug in after version?

Jason
Best Regards

Dear Admin,

For your more information.

I have just tested other programs "mkvtoolnix" & "VidCoder 4.35" to testing whether there is the same problem.

These 2 programs are help to convert *.ts format file to MKV file (H.265).

However, it is no such problem.
So I believe it is a bug in TVMW6_Trial_6.2.10.37_setup_en.
