Hi, I have 76 videos in mp4 format, 75Mb each (a total of 5GB), but when added to new proyect Start - Bluray BDMV video weighs 1.5 Gb each (totaling almost 100GB). I can do to the videos do not weigh much, may enter into a Bluray of 23GB and keep the original quality. thanks
TAW5 will re-encode that video to make it Blu-ray compliant. The resolution will be changed to 720x480 at least. I'm also guessing that TAW5 is giving the videos a larger bitrate. The audio will also be re-encoded as Dolby Digital (ac3) or LPCM. Make sure audio is encoded as ac3 to save space.
You can change the encoding settings in the Track Settings.
My bad, this is for TAW4, so your video will be converted to MPEG-2 which is not as efficient as MPEG-4 AVC, so that's also part of why the file size gets bigger. In other words, the outputted MPEG-2 video can be double the size (or more) because MPEG-2 can't compress as much data as MPEG-4 AVC.
It's possible, but not easy.
If you have other video editing software, that might help.
Basically you need to make a video clip or screenshot of just your menu.
Then, in your video editor, transition your first play video into the clip of your menu. Encode that as a single video to use as your first play video in TAW5.
Trying to load TMPGENc Authorising Works 4 program wants to Renew License. Each time it trys, however, results in error message "Stop Serial". I recently purchased a disk version of TMPGENc Authorising 5 BUT yet not installed it. Any ideas why it fails to renew license?
I've installed the VMW5 trial as I'm looking for a simple tool to capture home video from my Canon HV30 and convert it something I can use on my PC based media centre.
The software sees my camcorder and is able to capture from it fine, but I have an issue with it stopping the capture seemingly when it detects no video for around a second or so. This mostly occurs on the tape where the camcorder has been powered down/up - i.e. between takes from different days.
The result is I can't leave VMW5 capturing video without babysitting it, as it might get half the way through capturing and then stop. Just hitting the "capture" button again sends it off happily, but obviously not the best solution.
Is there a way to adjust the timeout or sensitivity for loss of video when capturing?
You can try demuxing the file into separate audio and video files, then convert your video stream to the desired format. After that, mux the new video stream with the old audio stream.
Assume there is a simple way for the TMPGenc system to take screenshots of a possible encode result, so I cant compare the result against other encodes of the same vid.
like a place where I put in some frame-numbers, so it takes screenshots of that frame(s) and save it?
After you load a clip, right-click the preview screen and there's an option to save the current frame as an image.
I think if you double-click the timecode area, you can input a specific timecode or frame number.
Yes, some are out already. If you bought a TAW4 premium template pack, you can download the TAW5 version for free as long as you still have your TAW4 template serial number.
I just upgraded from TAW4 to TAW5. Following the advice of tkrave, I copied my custom menu templates from the TAW4 Templates folder into the TAW5 Templates Folder (Folders are under "My Documents") I then renamed the file extension of each of the templates from .TAW4MT to .TAW5MT I then went into TAW5 and was still unable to locate my custom menu templates, even when using the browse feature to go to the TAW5 templates folder.
Am I doing something wrong or are the files incompatible with TAW5?
I discovered my mistake. I renamed the TAW4 custom menu file extensions from .tda4mt to .tda5mt I should have renamed them from .tda4mt to .taw5mt After doing this and placing the renamed files in the TAW5 template folder (My Documents/tmpgenc Authoring Works 5/Template), my TAW4 custom menu templates worked in TAW5.
When I click on start output,it tells me that the the clip total bit rate(which is 9948) is too high for a DVD-video.
Is it possible to make the bit rate smaller,so that I can get it to fit on a DVD?
You can change the bitrate for each track.
Go to the Source stage and click on the "Settings" button for the track with the high bitrate.
Go to the Video tab and change the Encoder mode to "Re-encode all videos as below".
Change the max bitrate and bitrate as necessary.
I've tried disabling my AV software and setting compatibility options, which I have never had to do before, but no success. This is the first time ever, in several years of ownership, that I've had an issue installing TMPGEnc software.
Disregard. On a whim, I navigated to the folder in the error message and found that all of my TMPGEnc products' folders (except Instant Show Presenter for some reason), had little locks on their icons. I checked the security settings and found that only my user ID was allowed to write to the folder. I changed this to Everyone and the software installed. =D
Now I just need to figure out what changed the security settings. >-(
