There is a new survey on the TMPGEnc website. I think it'll be a good place to let them know what kind of features or products you'd like to see. Plus, who knows? you might win some free software.
Is it possible to use the KVCD templates I have for TMPGenc 2.5 Plus?? If so, how do I enable them, I want Xpress to produce mpg files that will fit on a CD, the one now that are produced do not seem to write properly on my WinAvi burning program, thanks
Hello, I have a verified registered licensed version 4.2.193, and downloaded the new 4.6 file. When I try to run it now, it asks me for my license, and when I enter it it says it is invalid.
You may be inputting an incorrect letter or number. Try 0 instead of O, 1 instead of I, etc.
You may also be using a different language than the license you purchased. For instance, if you bought a German license, you won't be able to use an English update.
If you continue to have problems, contact support and they should be able to look up your license number and tell you if there is a problem with it.
I have demux an Blu-Ray VC1 with tsMuxer into different files:
- one VC1 for the video VC1 1920x1020 in 23,9 fps
- two AC3 for the audio channels
- two SUP for two subtitles
In TMPGEnc Authoring 4, I want to create an BLU-RAY .
I import the source file VC1
So I user TsMuxer to create a TS file from just the video channel.
Now I can import it, add the two AC3 files and the two subtitiles (after converting in SRT with SUPrip), I can create the Menu.. the chapters.. etc
Everything is ok... until ...
I can't simulate the result ... neither output ..
I have an error :
the track xxxxxx invalid video pulldown mode ?
What does it mean ?
Why I can import, edit the video, but not output ?
You may need to change the framerate of the track that is getting the error.
In the Source Stage, click on the "Settings" button for the track that has the error.
Then, click on the "Video" tab. Change the famerate to something else and see if that solves the problem.
If that doesn't work, try changing the display mode and field order as well.
I have EXACTLY the same problem.
I have downloaded Grease which was 33Gb, and a separate Subtitles SRT file.
It connected just file.
I have version: 4.0.2.14
Everything goes OK until "Simulation". Will not run.
"Output will not run".
Everytime I get the "Invalid Pull Down" error.
I swiched to a lower bitrate like 20000 or 15000, as TKRAVE on the forum suggested to you, but nothing helps.
Maybe you solved the problem? If you did please tell me your solution.

With TMPGEnc 4.0 Express, what would be the best quality settings when encoding from .vob to .mp4?
I'm a disc jockey and video jockey and don't want to use the .vob files as they eat more resources than the .mp4 files, plus I can save on hard drive space in going with .mp4. I don't want to lose much in the way of video and audio when converting however.
Starting at the first screen after loading the .vob file...I don't know what to select for "Clip settings"
Display mode: Interlace or Progressive
Field order: Top field first or Bottom field first
Aspect ratio: ?
I opened a support ticket for this. They came back and suggested disabling all multithread check boxes. In some cases, this worked.
In other cased, I've used Xpress 4 to convert the bluray m2ts to a BMDV mpg file then import it into Works 4 for the video source. Xpress 4 will not encode the 5.1 audio track as part of the bluray BMDV mpg. It will only create a 2 channel Dolby Digital audio track.
Then import the original m2ts file, if it only has DTS 5.1 or AC3 5.1 audio, for the audio source. Works will now create the bluray dvd without generating this error.
Hi,
Excuse me for my English, I'm Italian...
I've many problem to install new version of TNPGEnc 4.0 XPress. I've the 4.1 version and I want to update it to 4.6 version. But when I try to do it, the installation tool say me that it's impossible to unistall the old version of program because int's impossible to find the .msi file. I try to search it in my computer... but I can's find it...
Please, can you help me?
Thanks in advance,
Maria
Have you tried using the Windows "Add or Remove Programs" control panel? Maybe you can uninstall the old version with that before installing the new version.
downloaded & installed TPMGenc 4 Xpress. On first attempt to start it says The Trial Period is Over, which is rediculous since it was just installed. I'm trying to run it on Vista32 sp1.
I was the user that posted that Xpress 4.0 didn't work in windows 7. Come to find out it was an issue with microsoft windows installer (couldn't get any programs to install one day) and the next time the error occured a helpful fix poped up from microsoft on entering a command line to edit the registry. Xpress 4.0 works great under Windows 7...both 64 and 32 bit versions.
I just upgraded my dvd authoring 3 to the new 4.0 Works and will report back on how it performs under windows 7 32 bit.
Just thought I would share with everyone that I am using both TMPGEnc 4.0 Express and TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 with DivX Authoring on a Windows 7 Beta 64 bit platform with no problems at all.
Would like to read comments from those who are using Windows 7 Beta 64 bit and have upgraded to TMPGEnc Author 4.
Allow me to answer my own question...TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4 performs virtually flawlessly with Windows 7 Beta 64 bit. Patience is not a condition I deal with easily which would explain why I went ahead and purchased this product this afternoon!
I say 'virtually flawlessly' because I did experience a minor glitch when creating my own background picture for the menu...the 'keep aspect ratio' option was not available to me. I eventually sorted it out...but I'm not certain how. Kept the finished result as a template...so hopefully will not have to go through it again.
Is it just me...I thought TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 with DivX Authoring featured an option to use NVIDIA CUDA 2.0 for encoding...yet I see no such choice in the current Works 4.
My 'virtually flawless' has now morphed into 'nearly flawless'!
Whenever I 'burn' a 2nd disc using the 'Disc Writing tool' I receive an 'error' message at the conclusion of the encoding...and the disc tray, which is checked for 'eject disc'...doesn't. However...when I remove the disc and put it into my external DVD Player...the Disc plays fine (if only I had known that the first two times it happened.) Just another quirk...I suppose...but I share this info because I think it is worth sharing.

Can anyone over here "Claiming" to be able to run TMPGEnc Xpress 4 on Windows 7 64-bit actually give a method on how to accomplish this? Cause most of us are not able to run TMPGEnc Xpress 7 on Windows 7.
Especially Tarris ... I've seen you post in a couple of different threads that you were able to use a Command Line entry to make everything happen - mind sharing that magical command line with the rest of us??
Do we know when will TAW 4 be officially supported on Windows 7? I tried TE 4 and it works fine. I'm considering switching from Corel's DVD MovieFactory 7 to TAW 4.
