Question - TE30 - H.264 3gpp problem... No.53555
burf  2007-11-28 22:03:52 ( ID:cguzwhjaful )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I'm using TX4, but the TX4 forum seems to be gone.
I have an mp4 video, H.264 (3GPP).
When I open it with TX4, it's reading the video size wrong, and when I try to encode, it takes forever, just to encode a few frames. If I left it running, my great grandkids, would probably still be waiting for it to complete.
I tried disabling the Quicktime reader, but then nothing happens.

Any ideas... or is this just a bug?
I sometimes have the same problem with mkv files.

Thanks for any help!!

Question - TDA2 - digital breakup at the end of chapter points No.55738
Saunders  2007-11-28 13:41:57 ( ID:7ueait0kb3m )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I'm having trouble with the authored disc playback. the MPEGS are all fine when you play them on a PC and the authoring process works and a disc is produced, but on playback there is digital breakup of the image just near the end of each chapter, This has not always happenned always but is happenning all the time recently. the whole image pixelates right at the end. Has anyone experienced this and does upgrading to version 3 solved this for anyone?

Question - TDA2 - Lost Serial # to DVD Author 3 No.55736
sneed  2007-11-16 17:29:00 ( ID:1tfvoapm2jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I just paid $89.95 for the retail version of DVD Author 3. First I had to BUY the software on line and then a page opened with the serial #. Then I had to copy & paste that into their webpage so I could download the software. Then I installed it and they said to restart my computer, which I did. But, then when I opened the program, they again asked for the serial #, but once I restarted my computer, that page of course dissappeared. I checked my email, but they never sent the serial # there. Now I'm out $89.95 and they are impossible to reach. What do I do?

Question - TDA2 - Install license on new PC No.55735

Hi,

My wife's PC died and I'll be giving her my current PC with DVD Author 2.0 on it. I want to uninstall it off this PC and install it on my new PC. Is this OK or will I have any issues/problems with licensing?

Thanks!

Question - TE25 - How To Get FrameServing Working? No.43688
abrogard  2007-11-09 08:27:04 ( ID:zyvhiooupz6 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I am trying to brighten up a rather dark avi file that I want to burn to a dvd, make a movie of it.

Instead of just brightening it in VirtualDub and then putting the result into Nero I've been told I'll get better results by frameserving it to tmpg and burning the result with imgburn.

Fair enough.

I set up Virtualdub load the file, set the filter for brightness and start the frameserver.

It creates a vdr file and that's what I'm supposed to point tmpg to. But it doesn't recognise the type of file.

So I find I should install a plugin and I downloaded and tried to follow the instructions for an avs plugin: VFAPI plugin for TMPGEnc/AviUtl
Here they are:
How to install:
1. put m2v.vfp and m2vconf.exe into the same folder.
2. execute m2vconf.exe
3. select options
4. push OK button

Well that didn't seem to do any good so I put them in same directory as tmpgplus but it still didn't do any good.

Can anyone help me out, show me where I've gone wrong?

regards,

ab :)

I always thought that Scrubs is a great TV show, not only for the great acting and the funny scripts, but also for showing what working in a hospital is really like. Every doctor will say that "life is not like ER", and scrubs didn't take the whole heroic position and the action-drama scenes, that frankly, is much less common in hospitals than an old man with diarrhea, reflux, colitis or other not so very "photographic" diseases. Question - TDA1 - Move Chapter Button to Next Page. No.49485
sneed  2007-10-29 19:21:48 ( ID:1tfvoapm2jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

How can I move a chapter button to the next menu page. I have 6 chapters on my 2nd menu page, but they are lengthy titles and don't fit. The 3rd menu page (which is the last menu page) has only 4 chapters, so I want to move the last chapter button on page 2 to page 3.

When I select my 2nd menu page, the "Next Page" button is highlighted.

Question - TDA1 - How to make transparent button? No.49483
terrypin  2007-10-19 12:57:35 ( ID:1uq2rgitb22 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi. I have been using TDA 1.6 for a year or so now and am generally very happy with it.

However I have just started to try making my own buttons, and am having no success in achieving transparency. I do not have PhotoShop but use PaintShop Pro 8 which has full layer facilities. It also allows files to be saved as '.PSD'. So I created a single raster layer button, which shows transparency correctly in PSP8 (and also in The GIMP). But in TDA, when I replace the Play All button with my PSD, it is *not* transparent. It appears inside a solid white rectangle.

I cannot understand the instructions in TDA Help, which anyway are written for PhotoShop. Can anyone either explain how to do this from PaintShop Pro, or better still send me an example PSD file so that I can examine it carefully to see what is 'special' that lets it appear in TDA as transparent.

Question - TDA1 - Can't remove Menu-Items No.49480
Libat  2007-10-15 22:39:53 ( ID:ehog/5p5dd2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi

I'm trying to create my first DVD-Menu :)
I tried to use an template but I'm having the following problems with it:

1. How can I remove menu items that I don't want? When I right-click on the item "Delete a Menu item" is disabled? Why?
screenshot:
http://img3.imagebanana.com/img/ide2bsxf/wtf.JPG

2. Is it possible to create my own Menu-Templates without using the given templates? How?

3. I got one movie-track and I'd like to add chapters to a submenu, how can i do this?

Thanks for any help!!! :)

I'm new here (just posted my first message), but from your screenshot that doesn't look anything like TDA 1.6 (and presumably 1.5 was similar).

You can't delete that, its a necessary button to link to your video without it, the menu won't know where your movie chapters are.

This software doesnt freely let you modify everything, especially since DVD menu standards aren't flexible. It will take some learning but you'll eventually get it, not very hard to use. If you want to change how your button looks then go in menu setting and import your own picture instead of deleting that button.
