I noticed when I used TMPG Enc latest version that it copied it just fine. I had a movie that was about a little over 2 hours long so I went to tools and cut the movie in half so it would fit on 2 cd's. There is a very little slight delay in the speech and the lips when they are talking. Hardly noticeable but annoying too. I still have the original mpeg on my hard drive and there is no problems with it. Both sound and lips are in sync. Anyone know why?
What speed are you burning at? With Nero burning vcd's or svcd's it helps out alot if you drop the burn speed, personally i use 4x when burning anything that i want to keep and use alot.
I can't seem to get the template page when pressing the load button on the it just takes me to the temp folder.I can't find the template window anywhere.
Well I wanted to store my large DV AVI files as MPEG2s and use TMPGEnc to do it.....but I found that TMPGEnc brightens the video oh so slightly on each encoding. Techno guy confirms this also. So that means if, in the future, I want to edit different versions of a file stored...then it would pass through
TMPGEnc twice and be brighten twice. UUUgggh! Need to use another MPEG2 encoder that doesn't brighten each time you encode!!! Any suggestions?? Steve
well I just burned my first svcd, but when I play it in my player it shakes side to side really badly,it is like an earth quake, does any one know why this is ,and how to fix it,I did get an error when multi-plexing "buffer underflow in 2234 packets" could this be what is wrong? thanx
I encoded a movie in .mpg from DivX .avi. It took 4 hours. Then I have a bad sound and no image... I selected size 352x240, aspect ration 4:3, frame rate 29,97. What's going on ??? Thanks someone.
Latest TMPGEnc 2.53 corrupts all my MJPEG files - only the top line is displayed, the rest of the image is a grid of dots. Both in preview and conversion.
I've tried all the environment settings I can think of. Different source resolutions etc.. still no differences.
v2.01 used to work fine! I'm using an Athlon 1.2Ghz, Win98, 256Mb, Matrox Marvel G200 capture card. Matrox codec is used.
hi,I have never done a svcd before but I did one last night, but I can"t get nero to burn it ,when I drag the file over to the window in nero ,nero says it isn"t compliant ,it says I need mpeg 1 for vcd ,and when I select svcd and click on open and choose my svcd compilation the screen goes to the begining of nero(without the wizard) and then I drag my compilation over, and it says I need mpeg1 for vcd,but I dont want vcd,can some one please help cuz I"m new to svcd"s....thanx
The easiest way to do a SVCD (at least I think that) is to use two different software. First; create a "cue" file with VCDeasy 1.0.9 (www.vcdhelp.com) with the SVCD compliant. Second; Start Nero and close wizard and on the file menu access the "burn image.." option, select the cue file (usually called VIDEOCD.CUE) and burn it.
Also, on WWW.VCDHELP.COM, there are a lot of different softwares.
I got about 73% through converting and i got an error that started with the word index...(but i cant remember the rest... I know that the error number was 272... If u know why this would have occurred, what can i do to avoid this next time?
I would find it useful if TMPG Enc had the ability to rotate the encoded video. For example, I held my camera on it's side when recording my video. However, I obviously don't want to have to tilt my head to watch the video, I'd rather rotate the video so it's in the correct orientation.
This feature should include the ability to rotate 90deg/180deg clockwise and counter clockwise.
I downloaded the trial version of TMPGEnc and trying to convert several files from AVI to MPEG-1. I consistently get "Can not read video." error on two of these files (encoded with DIVXMPG4 V3 codec, at 25 frames/sec, 83kbps in PAL (352x288) standard) and the conversion stops. The AVI files play without problem with Media Player. Any ideas why I would be getting the error and how can I prevent it? Thanks in advance!
I tried VirtualDub, and it crashes while checking the file for errors (possibly in the same place as RMPGEnc). Unfortunately, since DIVX4 is not officially supported by VirtualDub, I cannot ask the author for help. Any other ideas, or tools that I could use to find what the problem is? Thanks for a prompt reply!
nope, if VD crashes then VD is telling the truth, the file you have is corrupted! trust me. I am 90% sure because DIVX 4 is fully supported by VD, otherwise how in the world, was DIVX 4 "successful"? People use VD to convert to DIVX any version 95% of the time!
Oh and by the way DiVx is supported in Virtualdub. The original version 3.11 wasn't as it was an illegal Mpeg4 hack. But DiVx is now a project on it's own utilising it's own code and is therefore legal.
Is there some magic incantation to get an MPEG2 file created by Tmpgenc to work with DVD2.5.2??? I cannot get it to read any of the imported files - the error which DVDit gives me is "could not find a suitable decoder" .... the mpeg2 file works just fine if I play it with Microsoft Mediaplayer.
I am converting DV/AVI files to MPEG2 using Tmpgenc. I've tried it with and without an Audio track. I'm using all of the default settings in Tmpgenc, with the execption being that I'm changing the bitrate to 5mbs.
Is there some setting which i need to make which will automatically get things working.
I have the same problem with my PC. I have Sony, P4, 1.8Ghz, Windows XP, DVDit! 2.5 Ligos, etc.
I have tried all to me known options with TMPGenc, (decr. the stram, changing the GOP header lines, etc) but without any success.
In thepast I had no problem with TMPGenc and DVDit!. I have recently done the Windows XP update regarding the mpeg2 encoder as an official upgrade. I am wondering whetrer that caused problem.
