TMPGEnc MPEG Smart Renderer 4 BBS [ Sorted by thread creation date ]
I have some .TS files that Smart Renderer 4 fails to render with the error message "Insufficient Memory to Continue Execution of the Program". Typically this error will appear exactly on the same frame of the file no matter what options in Smart Renderer 4 I change. I have 24 gigs of memory so should not be running out of memory. It only occurs with certain HD captures which I am trying to clip the front and tail ends from.
Some of my .TS files are completely black when I open them in Smart Renderer, even though they play fine with Windows Media Player and VLC Media Player. These are Hi Def 1920x1080i files.
Hi there, I am evaluating the latest build Tmpgenc Smart Renderer, however on my first serious attempt to cut & trim a 9GB movie I am facing some problems.
Basically when cutting & trimming the movie, on some parts, the programs has huge delays (white circle rolling).
Can this be due to a damaged movie?

Really hope someone can help me.
I edit a lot of .ts files, recordings off tv.
Some of them are fine and don't need 'rescueing'.
Others do, and I cannot understand why? It means the entire thing needs recoding which takes ages.
When i put the SAME file into Videredo, it works fine and doesn't need to recode the whole thing.
please - why is it doing this?
Here is the info for the file im trying to smart render:

There are two audio streams, a subtitle text stream and a menu included in the
file you list.
None of my TV captures contain as much information as yours.
TSR4 may not support everything you have in that file.
Compare this file to your successful files and see if any of the files that sucessfully Smart Render also include all of the additional streams, text and menu. You may need to simply strip out some of the extra stuff.
It is also possible that the files you're having problems with were originally
in a different format from the ones you're not having problems with. You never know exactly what transpired when the video clips were transcoded for TV broadcast.
So I downloaded the trial version so I could try out the smart rendering to see if it would work with my video. All indications were that my video was a supported format (MPEG-4 AVC), but I couldn't get the "Smart Render Analyzer" to indicate that any of the video would be smart rendered. When I rendered, I found it was putting a water mark in the video. So I guess that is why it isn't smart rendering? So is it completely impossible to test smart rendering on my video in the trial? Why isn't this indicated ANYWHERE ON THE WEBSITE OR IN THE PROGRAM?
I use TMSR4 (4.1.2.57) since last month. I like "Commercial Candidates Detector" for finding easy where CMs exist in ts file.
But after smart rendering, the m2ts files outputted via TMSR4 has not "Delay relative to video" tag. So playback the file, I feel bad because video and audio are no longer synchronized.

I found a solution to output as mkv. This is not smart rendering for Audio, but needs only a little more time.
The proxy file editing feature of TAW makes editing quite efficient. However, MPEG Smart Renderer doesn't seem to include proxy file support. Is there a way to enable this or add support?
Thanks!
Please can you give me a link to download older versions of this.
I just installed the latest version and it is buggy:
1. when importing clips, coming up with 'smart rescue', even though importing those same clips in older versions worked absolutely fine.
2. wont let me drag and drop in a clip, if ive gone to the edit page then come out of it. The edit window freezes, and i have to restart the program. Again, never did this with the old version.
It started doing these things with previous newer versions, and I was uninstalling and going back to the first version i got months ago - this time i thought 'might as well try the latest version released in june' and its got all the same issues, as previous newer versions.
please please can you just send me a link to an older version so i can use that immediately.
I have to agree that the latest version crashes/freezes quite frequently, in the most basic of tasks/actions. Also, compared to the other two main TMPGEnc applications, SR4 is slow and feels sluggish. Since it's a simpler application, I'd expect it would run much smoother. I really hope they'll optimize it soon.
