TMPGEnc MPEG Smart Renderer 4 BBS [ Sorted by thread creation date ]
Hi, it would be really useful if the date and time stamp from the video file could be displayed for each clip in the source window so that if you bring in clips from different sources its easier to put them in chronological order.
Simple?
Would it be possible to perform audio fade-ins and fade-outs just before and after the edit points within a clip without re-encoding all the audio of the clip. Often, the audio at such places can be loud and sudden due to broadcasters' desire to make more room for commercials, even to the point of eliminating the original fade-ins and fade-outs.
Currently, I manually do both of the above by placing three copies of each clip in a row, trimming the first down to ~1500 ms and introducing an audio fade-in, the 2nd by 1500 ms at both beginning and end, and the third to ~1500 ms and introducing a audio fade-out.
Improving it further, could you add the ability to introduce a silent blank filler gap at the edit points of user-selectable length? The result, audio fades and blank filler gap in the middle makes for a more professional looking result but does take a lot more time when done manually.
I think currently no TMPGEnc software supports 10bit-depth encoded files. Since they are becoming increasing popular (more quality on the same bitrate) it's a pity Mastering Works 5, Smart Renderer 4 etc. cannot open them. Please add support.
had to delete the previous message as after all these years the forum still hasnt had an edit button added.
Yeah, i just "complained" that they dont have something like or just the avi 10bit that sony vegas and adobe have for rendering. and i did the complaint because its NEEDED when you use noise filters to avoid the chroma banding.
also they really do need to add support for 10bit videos for import aswell as its a royal pain in the rear having to render 10 bit into 8 bit just for the software to work with it
hi there, ive just purchased smart renderer4 - and i wondered if theres a shortcut key to quickly grab a frame a JPG without having to enter a name it just does it.
im sure this must be doable
i know you can right click and choose "save current frame in specified format" but its long if you're capturing lots
I was surprised to see TMSR4 consider about 30% of the (unedited) MP4 files (1080/30p AVC) from my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini phone as "Rescue" files !
Wondering why I don't get 100% of "Smart" in this simple (?) test case ?
This is the only major problem with SR4, the lack of subtitle support for DVD and Blu-Ray. Please consider adding it, currently the software feels crippled when dealing with discs.
obviously there is still no subtitling possible - shame on TMPGEnc. I currently run VSRip for extraction of subs and use mkvmerge to add subs manually to the "done" mkv! What a waste of time!
I burned some BD-R discs and could only fill 4 Gb (23 minutes) of the 25Gb because of the 200 clips limit in one Project. Can I add several Projects into one BDAV disc or are there other ways to add enough clips to fill the 25Gb BD-R?
How do you disable certain clips from the final output?
Sometimes I revisit a project and only want to smart render one or two clips but not remove those that I dont, but I have to just so they don't get ouputtead again which is very annoying.
Just delete them and don't save the project file, then you can always reopen the project file and have all your clips. Or delete the clips and save it as a different project file.
