Looks like the High Quality profile is just a VGA profile...possibly just carried over from the iPod specs. Just create a custom profile to get the full 1024x786 resolution or even 1280x720 resolution. Just right-click on the "High Quality" box and select "Custom setting Wizard" to create your own settings.
Hi
I having problem sync the mp4 video files that I use TMPGEnc movieStyle to converted. It show and play on the itune just fine... but when I sync to the ipod, it will not sync. it keep saying that the formate is not right. I use to have TMPGEnc videosync and it never give me this problem.. do anyone know how to fix this. thanks..
I have just purchased the Leadtek SpursEngine PCI-E Card, the TMPGE SpursEngine Plug-In, and the new MovieStyle software. I already owned TMPGExpress 4.0.
TMPGExpress 4.o seems to work fine with no driver crashes.
As soon as I begin a specific action in MovieStyle, the driver crashes, the Windows Device Manager dismounts the Leadtek card, and I begin to get error messages from both MovieStyle and TMPGExpress 4.0 regarding the Spurs hardware not being available.
Only when I reboot does the problem go away, but it then consistently re-appears every time I enter MovieStyle .vob import in the Source Wizard.
Do you have the SpursEngine plug-in for MovieStyle? It's a different installer than the one for 4.0 XPress I believe. You should be able to log into your user account and download either installer.
I think my problem was solved with some excellent help from Olivier from TMPGE Customer Support.
I was advised to copy the following files from my correctly-working TMPGExpress 4.0 folder (in C:\Program Files) to the MovieStyle Folder, replacing the files of the same name in the MovieStyle Folder.
MovieMPEGSE.dll
SpursEnginePlugin.dll
candi.dll
specdc_sr2.ssb
specdc_trans2.ssb
Voila' !!!!! The problem went away.
I assume my installer screwed up the original installation somehow or that one or more of these files was defective. The copy and paste fixed my problem!!
I am posting this here so others who may have the same problem in the future will be spared a lot of screwing around and rebooting trying to get their installation to work.
I was wondering if windows 7 64bit support is on the table? I have been using movie style without a hitch all through RC and for the last month during win7 release, but recently it been getting errors on start up and I am having to reinstall the program.
I am surprised that MovieStyle doesn't support functionality that you can find in free programs, for example in Handbrake.
I tested the trial version of MovieStyle and converted a DVD for my iPod Touch. The conversion process worked smoothly; however, I was surprised that MovieStyle doesn't support chapter information, i.e., you can't skip from chapter to chapter on the iPod Touch. Handbrake on the other hand (which is free) is almost as easy to use with its device profiles and supports chapters.
So the only advantage of MovieStyle would be the support of the SpursEngine, but that doesn't make up for the loss of the chapter functionality I get with Handbrake.
Can I make thumbnails for the video files I create with MovieStyle?
MovieStyle always seems to use the first frame of the video.
If there is a trick to do it with another program I'd like to hear about it.
SpursEngine Plug-in support.
Only usable with the PSP, iPod/iPhone, and PlayStation 3 output profiles.
SpursEngine Super Resolution feature only usable on PlayStation 3 output profile.
Using the source wizard, and I select "Copy the selected titles to the hard disk drive", I am getting this error:
An error occurred while canceling the title copy to the hard disc drive. Please refer to the details below. Data error (cyclic redundancy check). (error code 0x80070017)
Any idea what that means? MovieStyle is useless to me now...
There are times when DVD-video format files (.VRO, .BUP, .IFO, VOB, ) have
special build structure or has weird data or broken, in case of import
directly from a DVD-video there are broken sectors or problems in files
specially in the .IFO files.
Please check if it happens the same with other DVD-videos.
Also try with another media disc, there are times when some data is
being ignored by some media readers.
At Windows, My computer, please try to copy the DVD (VIDEO_TS)
folder to your HDD, if it becomes a reading error it means that the
recording(copying to disc) is bad, or your DVD media is corrupted, weird,
has some kind of protection, or was wrong or special created data.
- Or... try to drag & drop the .VRO or .IFO file manually and check
about it.
-Or... please try this:
-At Source stage click "Add" button.
-From the file browser choose the folder where your .VRO file is
and select "All files (*.*)" option.
-Choose a > .VRO file and click "Open".
-There will come out a warning message, please click "No".
-then try again to convert it.
- Or... you could try to use an "IFO repair software", search or it
with this keywords in Google or other portal.
I would like Movie style or another product you make to be able to transcode:
AVCHD files from Canon and Panasonic cameras.
From 1080 p (with pulldown from canon cameras at 24p)
From 1080 p (with native progressive frames at 24p from Panasonic HMC150 cameras)
Also many are having a great time editing footage from AVCHD at 1080 from all camcorders that are now shooting this file type due to the clips being seperated in 4 gig chuncks of footage.
It would be ice if Movie style could do a straight unchanged (or pull down removal only) cut edit to say i gig clips.
Better yet, to allow input to the clips meta data (but that is a wish not a need). Sequential numbering of the output files is a must.
Also the same would be desired for Panasonic MXF files from P2 cards.
We want full raster files not the DVCproHD non-square files, so something to convert DVCproHD into an AVCHD full raster clip divided at 1 gig segments.
One gig segments allows easier editing. It is hard to edit when the computer has to manage4 gig 1080 files.
Have you checked out TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress? It's much more geared towards editing and encoding than MovieStyle is and it can do AVCHD input. I don't know if it can do all of the things you're describing, but it is probably the type of program you are looking for. They have a trial version in case you want to try it.
