I've always wanted to get some sort of notification when a project encoding was complete. There is not option in TVMW7 for this, so I wrote a simple DOS batch file that will email me once the encoding is complete. It looks to see if the TVMW7 encoding process is running, if not, it sleeps for 30 seconds and then tries again. If the encode process is not found, it use the SendMail program to send me an email.
How many minutes can be burned to a DVD disc in the AVCHD format? I have been able to burn up to 40 minutes using Authoring Works 6. My research indicates you should only be able to burn between 20-30 minutes. Does it depend on the size to the video?
Just wondering, why not use single layer BD-R discs instead and create the videos as Blu-ray?
Then there is almost no limits, because everything is based entirely on bitrates.
I have once squeezed an almost 5 hours long two part train ride documentary in 720p on a single layer BD-R disc, where i set the birate at just above 7 Mbps.
I just tried Authoring Works 6 for a month and trial expired but i'd like to stick with the version 4 for now. How can i convert the project to version 4 so i can use it in authoring works 4 ? Thank you !
I want to have the top menu with 3 buttons, play movie, special features (which then goes to a track menu) and setup (for audio/subtitles) but whenever I make the menu the play movie button goes to another page first. How do I move the subtitles button to the top menu, and have another button to play the movie directly from the top menu?
I have a project with 155 chapters (99 in track 1, 56 in track 2) and the font text under each chapter needs to be reduced slightly so they don't touch each other. Is there a way to change the font for all the chapters in one step or do I have to change them individually?
it's simple you have to do it like this:
where you have imported the DVD select chapter #01 at the top right press the right mouse button and select "Change all keyframe to split points" you will see that the chapters in the scroll bar turn blue and orange press the OK button and confirm with split in this way you will import all the chapters separately and not one at a time.
I was thinking using buying a pay software i ll have no issue with software driver !
IF pegasys don't maintain their software because of bug / issues ...it is really not professinonal fair.
I have install Pilot GeForce Game Ready 516.94
I hope update ll come for all last nvidia driver.
I have a 3080 and CUDA is working correctly
Have you changed in preferences / decoder which one you want to use?
For example H264 you have to put NVENC
Remember that CUDA only works if for that type of video file you are converting the CPU is slower than the GPU in encoding
I have the Asus GeForce GTX 1650 with the Studio driver of 516.64
I have never gotten CUDA to work on H.264 or H.265 (HEVC) videos.
The setting mentioned under MPEG Settings => Decoder is not called NVENC but NVDEC.
But even setting all to NVDEC changes nothing on my Windows 10 computer.
I was only able to use CUDA on my old Windows 7 computer, which had a much older GPU from Asus and used a much earlier Gameready driver.
But i have learned to live with it that CUDA will not work, i then just leave the computer alone when it output videos much slower using the CPU only.
Its also OK with that Ryzen 5 5600X with the additional 64 GB of Fury Beast RGB RAM i have.
Sure, but the result won't look too pretty, because it can be clearly seen and many times also be heard in the audio where they have been joined together, so there i honestly don't suggest TVMW7 specifically for this sort of work.
There you are better off using an actual video studio instead, where there is the ability to create a much better flowing crossfading between the two clips.
If we are talking about two videos that looks like as if they once actually used to be one video but then has been split in to two by some one, then there you are better off using VideoReDo TVSuite 6 to re-join those two clips, because it does that extremely precisely.
That one is also a gods gift for those who record television and want to get rid of all those pesky commercial breaks.
When creating a Color matte with the Source Wizard, the duration is set up thanks to "Clip Duration". The problem is that the frame rate can't be selected and it defaults to 30 fps if I remember well. Most of my videos are at 25 fps, so everytime I want to add a black frame for a certain duration, I need to compute its duration / 30 * 25 to get the correct duration I want for my project. It would be nice if the frame rate were the same as the frame rate of the Master video clip or if it were possible to select it in a dropdown menu (not to default it to 30 fps).
When dragging a dvd into mastering works 7, all it does is name the individual episodes title 1 etc, is there anyway the software can bring in the name of the series etc. Thanks very much for any input
