Does anyone know where this stores the results?
I use this a lot and recently went to re-edit a video from some time ago. When I ran the Detector it finished immediately showing results. It must have got these from when I last edited the video, some weeks ago. I must have accumulated a large collection of these old Detections somewhere. I'd like to delete them.
I usually process my clips with Premiere Pro (output as MPEG2-DVD) and import them in TMPGEnc Authoring Works 6 as m2v files, which work perfectly
Recently I have processed HD clips on premiere pro (output as H.264) and I have import them in TMPGEnc Authoring Works 6 as mp4 files . However, the video jerks both when playing the timeline track and in the simulation mode.
I thank you in advance for your help
So, I am importing a video file (in MKV format) into Works 7 which has 2 audio tracks. For some reason, I am getting 1 audio track imported. I am new to this so maybe I am missing something. Any suggestions?
Which product do I need in order to create an ISO that I can then use with imgburn to burn DVDs and blu rays? I downloaded the trial version of Video Mastering Works 7, but that looks more like an editing program, like Adobe Premiere. What I need is not an Adobe Premiere but an Adobe Encore, in effect. Does this or any other tmpgenc product create ISOs?
Check out TMPGEnc Authoring Works 6. It's their DVD/Blu-ray authoring software. You can output a DVD or Blu-ray project and then convert into an ISO with the included tools.
I normally use motion menus, and the background audio length is in 'Global Settings'. This time using a static menu I can't find where to adjust the background audio length. On simulation the menu stops before the audio is finished. The only way I've found myself is to create a motion menu...even though there isn't one! Any other suggestions guys?
Once you add audio, it becomes a motion menu and you must change the audio duration in the motion menu settings. If you go to the Motion Menu settings, you'll see that the option for "Still Picture and Background Audio" is selected.
I think I have encountered a bug in VMW7 or at least a very strange behaviour regarding the Timelapse and Speed effect.
In the clip properties you can see the Start Time, End Time, Duration and Start Time in Source. Of course if you accelerate the clip then the Duration and End Time changes as the clip gets shorter. But it seems that the source is also calculated shorter respectively to the acceleration, so if you accelerate the clip by factor 5, the Start Time in Source needs to be divided by 5 to start at the correct frame. This can result in the effect not working at all.
Here is an example/steps to reproduce:
Scenario: 10 minute clip, Start Time and Start Time in Source 0:00, accelerated by factor 5, this clip would be 2 minutes long after accelerating the whole clip.
But I only want to accelerate the last 2 minutes, I make a cut at 8 minutes, resulting in 2 clips, the first one with Start Time in Source at 0:00 the second one with start time in source 8:00.
Double click the second clip and activate the Speed or Timelapse effect with speed 500% or 5x.
Now you see that the effect shows only the first frame of the video and preview is disabled, current frame is -1 etc. That is because now as start time 1:36 is expected (8 minutes/5), but Start Time in Source is still at 8:00, but 8:00 doesn't exist as the source runtime is also calculated to 2 minutes due to the acceleration. VMW7 doesn't even notify what is the problem...
For me this behavior is extremely strange as Start Time in Source should always reference to the original and not manipulated file... Even if the bahavior is desired, VMW7 should calculate the new Start Time in Source by itself if you activate one of the effects, it is very unclear why the start frame of the clip is a different one after adding one of the effects or why it doesn't work at all. If it is not even a bug.
I was only able to recreate your example by splitting the clip from the right-click menu in Timeline Mode.
If I double click the clip (before splitting) and split the clip from the clip editor window, I don't get the same results. Using this method, I was able to apply the Timelapse filter to the second clip and it would start where it was supposed to and its duration would properly shorten.
Start Time in Source is more of a setting than a property you shouldn't touch, if that makes any sense. You can change the start time of the clip so it starts later/earlier if you want, so 0:00:00 just refers to the start of the clip. Think of the Properties tab in Timeline Mode as the current settings of the clip; it's different than the Clip Properties in the Clip Editor window which lists the source's properties.
Yes you are right, I split on time line with right click, because that is the most convinient way for me. But I try it out in clip editor window. Thank you!
You can use a Note page to add text and pictures. For extra video, it would have to be another track menu. You can choose text buttons if you use the Custom Menu option and you can then use any font and text as your buttons.
I'm using the last version of TMPGEnc VMW7 and I'm experiencing low sound level in my x264 et x265 for every output file. I must use volume ajustment filter to 150% to get the right level (TV 1080i TS file in input)
I use Handrake too and i'm not experiencing the same problem.
Has someone the same problem ?
VMW7 is a great piece of software however a niggle I have is when dropping a number of .ts files into the editor. Each one has to have the "Finish" button clicked. I don't want to do that x number of times! If I drop a load of .mpg or .mp4 files they just get added, no extra button clicking. Please let me do that for transport stream files.
I'm trying to cut 'x265/HEVC' '.Mkv' files.
All the files I've tested, regardless of being 8 or 10 Bit Main take a very long time to load and when the editor opens, skipping takes ages .. somtimes over 1 minute to jump 5 Minutes forward. I also remuxed the files to '.ts' to see if it's the format but that does not change a thing
While skipping, the GPU (I'm using GPU Decoding) is going up on 50%. If I use CPU Decoding the CPU goes to 100%. Scrolling 1 frame back and forth works.
It looks like it decodes the movie always from the beginning, as skipping to somwhere at the beginning of the movie is much faster (10 seconds) then at to the end (>10min)
@Florian Gamper. I sent you an email but you didn't reply. The problem lies with the H.265 encoding. It seems that Smart Renderer 5 cannot handle the x265 codec even though it claims it can. I have had to rencode all of my 4k H.265 video files to H.264 and now they all work flawlessly in smart renderer 5.
Oh, and even funnier, The Video Engine seems to be capable of doing it,
As the Video Mastering Suite 7 has no problem properly opening a 10Bit HEVC file.
But it cannot smart render the cut's :(
It's now over a year since I filed the bug and nothing has been done
Very Sad
I export the file in a mkv container with sound in flac format. On a pc, the file plays normally. Hardware media player "Dune Smart D1" does not play sound in this file.
Tmpgenc creates non full compatible flac file. I tried export elementary streams and reencoded this “flac” file again "flac" format using another program and mixed it using the Tmpgenc “Advanced Tools”. This file now normally playing hardware media player.
