Question - TAW4 - Help.. I keep getting "error code 0x8007000e" No.63958
GetItGirl  2010-12-19 16:03:25 ( ID:bvjazka2ohj )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have been using TMPGEnc 4 for a few years importing several different video formats and sizes. All of a sudden I am starting to get this error message. > Not enough storage available to complete this operation (error code 0x8007000e)

I read a topic post that had a similar error message where the person was told that they actually really didn't have enough space - so I checked this out and just to see I changed my temporary output folder to my main disk drive folder which is telling me that I have around 30GB of free space which should be sufficient for a 4.7GB DVD output and I changed the final output folder to be saved in the same main disk drive folder aw well, but unfortunately, I got the same error code. Can someone please help? I have been trying to figure out what I did wrong even did a system restore to make sure - I can't figure out where I'm going wrong?

Question - TE40 - CUDA Usage? No.63956
Tom  2010-12-19 02:15:30 ( ID:uxxizqe5kph )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I'm new to TMPGEnc and I'm trying to take advantage of CUDA for filtering. I think I have it fully enabled and have done the performance optimization. I've added every filter under the sun and the encoding is still using 100% CPU and 0% CUDA. Are there certain input formats or output formats that CUDA is used for. The video I am trying to encode is AVC and I'm trying to encode as MPEG-4 AVC CBR high profile.

tkrave  2010-12-24 09:35:14 ( ID:esk4fdefcg2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

What kind of CPU do you have? If it is more powerful than your GPU, 4.0 XPress will use the CPU instead.

Question - TE40 - Washed Out No.63948
chrisbogle  Home )  2010-12-17 20:48:26 ( ID:pwc6irtb5jj )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi there,

I'm trying to output an MP4 H264 for hi-def broadcast at 50Mbps. I'm really happy with the results of the encode other than the colour which is washed out. Is there a solution to this in the software?

Cheers,

Chris

tkrave  2010-12-21 07:53:08 ( ID:esk4fdefcg2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

There is a color correction filter that you can apply in the Source stage. Though if it's getting washed out during the encoding process, I'm wondering if the Main Concept encoder is to blame and will it then just wash out the color adjustment filter as well?

Question - TE40 - Deinterlace GH1 Video File No.63947
zedprime  2010-12-17 16:41:27 ( ID:a4dargsbs2a )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi, I recently purchased TMPEGEnc and vary happy with the results so far on my HV20 camera (I use it to do the reverse pulldown process to get the 24P material).

I also have a Panasonic GH1 camera that records 25P (the sensor is progressive) in a 50i container (AVCHD) - Aka 25PsF.
If i wish to convert the AVCHD files back to 25P what would be the best method?
1)Choose the deinterlace filter? (and if so, what would be the exact settings)
2)Just save as progressive frames file when choosing the format (for example, choosing Mpeg4 template and 25fps framerate) without using any filter?

Thank you for you help,
Itzhak W.

tkrave  2010-12-22 03:54:42 ( ID:esk4fdefcg2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I believe you only need to set it as progressive and 25 fps in the format stage. The deinterlace filter is actually always active and set to "deinterlace when necessary" so when you choose progressive in the format stage, it will use the filter.

You can always change the deinterlace settings though if you require a specific deinterlacing method or do not wish to deinterlace at all.

zedprime  2010-12-24 08:34:40 ( ID:a4dargsbs2a )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Thanks for the reply,
I'll try exporting to 25p (without choosing any special methods) and see how that works.

Itzhak.

Question - TE40 - How to use TMPGEnc to transcode from Blu-ray No.63946
billvert  2010-12-17 15:54:50 ( ID:fq/.lhk3kv2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have a non commercial Blu-ray I want to convert with TMPGE (home video from my brother). The disk plays fine as a Blu-ray but I can't get the Source Wizard to tease the disk apart like it would with the non commercial DVDs my brother used to send me.

Ideas?

Tom  2010-12-19 02:19:39 ( ID:uxxizqe5kph )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You can use HD Streams Extractor (a gui on top of eac3to) to get the streams from the bluray, then use TMPGEnc for encoding.

Question - TE40 - Can TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress start with prefered filter enabled? No.63930

Can TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress start with prefered filter enabled?
For exaple with Volume Adjustment filter enabled. It would be usefull becouse each time enable that filter is too long...

guchi  2010-12-10 23:12:05 ( ID:r/33fane4q. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I found a useful option to apply a template filter, but normalization is not preserved after aplying a template.

I am having the same problem. I recently installed Windows XP 64 bit. I reloaded DVD author 3 and it worked fine. TMPEGENC 4.0 hangs on the license screen. If you put in a wrong license it immediatly tells you. Cannot get activated.

Any help appreciated.

Bug report - TAW4 - Black pillars (left and right) on 720x576 video No.63897
p88l  2010-11-28 08:33:24 ( ID:m0geeht0nlo )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

When creating a PAL 720x576 16:9 DVD from 1920x1080p25 source material, small black boxes (pillars) are shown on the left and right. Also the video is squeezed a bit. Using 704x576 solves the problem, but officially this anamorphic video is not supported for this resolution. There is a solution to use TMPGEnc Xpress to encode the video with certain settings, but IMHO it should also be possible to do this by only using AuthoringWorks. Can this be fixed in a small update (for example an option to choose how to encode the video in this case) Thanks in advance!

What is the aspect ratio in the Clip Properties screen? Adjusting this might solve the problem as sometimes the default setting is wrong.

p88l  2010-11-30 05:23:12 ( ID:m0geeht0nlo )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

1:1 (square pixels), but also tried Display 16:9, same result.

I've tried all other values, but this results in a squeezed picture and/or even larger bars / bars on top.

Input is AVCHD 1920x1080 25p (in a 50i container).
So I've manually changed it to 25p (it detects 50i) to prevent unneeded de-interlacing.

tkrave  2010-12-07 03:45:39 ( ID:rtaw9vhji5c )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I can't replicate the pillarboxing. Is there any way you can post a sample clip of your input footage for testing?

p88l  2010-12-10 07:58:09 ( ID:m0geeht0nlo )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I will post a sample clip somewhere this weekend...
