i did what u told me to do
about the error message when i try to open an- avi file
i changed the "Direct Show Multimedia File Reader" to- 2
but it still a'int working
(and thanks for the clear explanation)
could it be a problem with the program, like i need to re-install it?
or maybe it's the file problem?
funny i didnt understood a word of what u said.
but it doesn't metter couse i tried a diffrent file and it worked
so- thanx a-lot for the "Direct Show Multimedia File Reader" tip.
I can't select any avi files into my "source file"
it tells me that it can't open the file or that the avi is unsupported.
Isn't it the sense of this programm to encode avi's into mpeg?
what do I have to switch or adjust to make it work?
OK I have the paid version of the latest TMPGEnc.. And could never open a .avs script file in TMPGEnc. Yes, the Avisynth is installed correctly, and I can open the .avs files in both VirtualDub as well as media player, etc. But in TMPGEnc the old 'unsupported' msg came up.
Then I saw on a guide over at VCDHelp where they said the file readavs.dll had to be installed for TMPGEnc to load these files. I did install it as they stated, and now TMPGEnc can open the .avs files.
My question: I thought I read that TMPGEnc was able to open .avs files by default, right out of the box (so to speak). So am I correct in installing the Readavs files to TMPGEnc? Or was there something else wrong with my install and installing this was just some poor hack job.
The read Readavs.dll doesn't have to be installed for TMPG to open AVS files. It should be able to open these files without it using Directshow or VFW.
I'm currently using AVS files on my system without the Readavs.dll and have no problem opening these files.
Try raising the priority of the directshow or VFW filters and make sure you have installed the latest version of AVIsynth.
I encode a divx movie to mpeg and I have tried all the aspect ratios and set the resoluion to 704x336 which is what the movie is at. When I go to test the recording the movie is showed at the top of the TV screen with one large black bar on the bottom only instead of top and bottom. Any idea how to fix this?
I made two SVCD files from a single DV file and merged them (all using TMPGEnc).
However, the last few frames ( about 2 to 10) of the second file are lost after the merge.
What could have caused this problem? I tried several times with the same result.
Thank you!
Hey can someone help me out how do I do this can u email me the anwser @ chrisallen1979@comcast.com I probubly will never find this page again thats why I need you to email me Thanks
Chris
Take that damned ram file to your washing machine, choose color wash and that's it.
ah I forgot - you can't read the answer - maybe you'll find the solution yourself......
a tool called pvinstrumento. With this tool you can repair MPEG-2 Files or demux them, even if the files a not well formed MPEG's or if they are broken. The author wrote this tool to fix MPEG Streams in PVA-Format (delivered by Satellits/DVB) but it also works with the MPEG-Output from Hauppauge's PVR.
I've tested it with all my broken MPEG's - and it worked very, very good. After fixing the files you can use them within tmpgenc without any problem, CUT, MERGE, EDIT, ENCODE all works fine.
Please note: The latest release of the tool (V23 and V23a) does not work with HAUPPAUGE SVCD. Try V.22 - you will find it in the section Nostalgia Versions.
Perhaps this tool will help many other users with similar problems !
if dvix 3.11 is only compatable with windows 1998 & 2000 how can i load it on my computer if i am running xp and does it matter were i load the codecs on my computer. right now i have them all loaded in my program file also i down loaded red dragon it is in mpeg format how do i convert it over to vcd format do i just burn it or what
You Can still use them But you get that stupid Windows warning that says the codec hasn"t passed XP testing..if you do have any problems with 3.11 I think 4.12 is backwards compatible...
This is usually caused by a Glitch in the avi file...Try useing Virtual Dub to frame serve the file..You can use it also to check for errors in the file ...
Help all of a sudden my films I am encoding do not have sound. I keep getting all sorts of number error messages. I am very new to this so if anyone can help in VERY SIMPLE instructions i would be very greatful as I understand non of the technical stuff i am afraid, i am only doing it so I can put subtitles on films for my father.
For the audio you need to extract the audio to a WAV file...You can do this with "Virtual Dub" ..you open Virtual Dub and load in the AVI file then go to "File" to "Save as WAV" then use that file as the audio source...You can get Virtual Dub at "http://www.virtualdub.org"....
Well Maybe you have an older version or something cuz at least the last 3 versions have this option..It says "Save Wav" in the 12 line down the "File" Menu....You can get the newest version at "http://www.virtualdub.org/"...
Ok people i have now found that option but, now i have sound and the picture disappearers after about 20 minutes and does not come back. Sorry to be a pain but WHYYYYY.
Does the picture go away while encodeing or in the Mpeg file???To correct this try going to "Options" to "Enviromental Settings" to "Vfapi Plugins" and Raise the "Direct Show" to "2"...
