Question - TVMW6 does not shutdown the host PC ? No.71224
benoitm  2019-03-19 17:27:23 ( ID:aacy2tticna )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

(cross-post from TAW5 forum)

When I choose Shutdown as finishing task, it seems the system goes idle instead of shutting down. (this is Windows 10 / 1803)

The only visible track left by this action is in the Windows System log:

Log Name: System
Source: User32
Date: 18/03/2019 23:46:51
Event ID: 1074
Task Category: None
Level: Information
Keywords: Classic
User: XXXX\Benoit
Computer: XXXX
Description:
The process TMPGEncVMW6.exe has initiated the power off of computer XXXX on behalf of user XXXX\Benoit for the following reason: Other (Unplanned)
Reason Code: 0x0
Shutdown Type: power off
Comment:

the next event in the System log is only 8 seconds later and is an information-level event from 'Time service', but also in the Application log an event 102 from ESENT where 'The database engine (10.00.17134.0000) is starting a new instance (0)'.
This would suggest a reboot instead of a shutdown....although I see no clear event related to a reboot (e.g. events from the kernel; and 8 seconds seems a bit short for a reboot anyway)

Question - Additional 3rd Party Filters? No.71206
tvscreen  2019-02-07 00:31:28 ( ID:vugorzgoke. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Does any other company make 3rd party filters to use in the software?

tkrave  2019-02-07 15:21:03 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Not that I know of. As far as I know, the software is not set up to accept 3rd party filters. Would be cool if it did though.

George  2019-03-23 05:39:19 ( ID:5jvt8.wqsu. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Well, you can use AviSynth and its myriad tricks and filters, right? A bit complicated to set up.

Question - They are disgraceful thieves. No.71179
Geoffrey Beames  2019-01-06 04:40:56 ( ID:b6ezy.b25q. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I purchased a replacement version of TVM6 as I had used the first version the maximum number of times allowed.
They have blocked my use of the NEW VERSION by AUTOMATICALLY USING THE OLDER VERIONS CODES.
They are becoming so untrustworthy now!!!!
OH, AND THEY STOLE THE SECOND PAYMENT I MADE.
DON'T TRUST THEM ANY MORE. I THINK THEIR TRADING LICENCES SHOULD BE CHECKED FOR LEGALITY.
I'll now only use TVM5 as the new system is used bt them for theft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tkrave  2019-01-08 16:22:07 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

What do you mean "maximum number of times allowed"? The software doesn't limit you unless you were using a trial version. You shouldn't need to buy a second license just to keep using the software.

If you bought a new license and your computer still sees the old one, you need to delete or move the old license file. I believe it has a .lic extension if you need to look for it.

Did you buy this direct from the pegasys website? Just sounds weird the way you are describing things.

Question - Can you Crop and zoom with this software No.71154
Rick0725   2018-12-17 22:08:19 ( ID:o.9ry2cyra. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Can you Crop the picture and zoom to fill the screen with this software (without black lines) in effects

tkrave  2018-12-21 04:05:52 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Yes.
In timeline mode, you can crop and then add a zoom effect.

Or if you just mean crop and resize, it can do that too with filters or timeline editor.

Request - Editing Tools in Timeline Mode No.71110
dbestor  2018-11-12 16:12:52 ( ID:shzpzloywlw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Feature Request:

I really like the Timeline interface for viewing across multiple added files.

Could we get the Edit tools (mark in, mark out, cut, etc.) added to this Timeline interface so we can edit files in this view as well?

Thanks!

If you double click on the video clip, you can edit the clip.
If that is what you want to know

Question - Smart Render No.71072
Brendan Kennedy  2018-09-16 04:21:20 ( ID:8s7qjiveapr )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hello. My first post and newb to program. I have lined up a series of 1280x720 files to burn for a Bluray and they were all rendered slowly to 1080P.

Can someone tell me if this is normal? I thought this resolution was acceptable.

Thanks for any help, BK

tkrave  2018-09-18 03:56:49 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You may have bought the wrong product. TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works is a video converter and does not have smart rendering capability. You may have wanted TMPGEnc Authoring Works which is their Blu-ray/DVD authoring software.

Hi, I use Edius 9 Workgroup and I'd like to export from the Edius 9 timeline to H.265 HEVEC. If I buy TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 6, is there iside the plugins for Edius 9? In other words while I install it Edius 9 get the plugins? Thnaks

tkrave  2018-10-27 14:24:04 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

No, TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 6 does not come with plug-ins for EDIUS. EDIUS plug-ins are separate products. See http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/e9mp4.html

Request - Timeline Transition Duration No.71060
Pacem  2018-07-27 00:17:18 ( ID:fvoxhwz/14f )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

In Normal Mode, an exact transition duration can be specified between two clips. In Time Line Mode, however, a transition is created when two clips intersect, but the duration is only based upon the size of the intersection. Please enable entry of an exact transition time and choice of transition by double-clicking on the intersection, which would bring up the transition screen as seen in Normal Mode. I am surprised that this capability wasn't in VMW5, either...

am_dew  2018-07-27 07:08:01 ( ID:nzuth1lc4.. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I agree 100%. Creating transitions in timeline mode leaves a lot to be desired.

Question - DTS Support No.71007
CodySydney  2018-04-18 15:06:28 ( ID:nrw5gltgtvr )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Curious if we're going to get DTS support at any point. I'm seeing an increasing need for this, to the point I'm having to shop about for other tools to do preprocessing.

CodySydney  2018-05-09 15:48:05 ( ID:nrw5gltgtvr )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I guess not. Cyberlink PowerDirector will have to do. :(

Peter  2018-07-30 15:37:25 ( ID:xrrck60mt.. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

It's a pity that one is forced to use other products when a video comes with DTS sound. This is ridiculous.

CodySydney  2018-10-28 17:24:42 ( ID:nrw5gltgtvr )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I discovered that the free tool Handbrake can do this, so I've pretty much switched to that.

Question - What's different in v6.2.7.34? No.71002
Baffled  2018-04-14 13:35:39 ( ID:j8majifa/ta )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I can't seem to find any description of the differences in v6.2.7.34. What's new? Where should we look for change logs?

Thanks

tkrave  2018-04-14 15:05:07 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

It's in the revision history page, which can be accessed via the download page:

Question - DNXHD + HR Formats No.70996
Mike  2018-04-11 17:37:19 ( ID:8idg3eh89b. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi!

If I import videos with DNXHD or DNXHR format like with 10, 12 or 14Bit, it works but in the Import Dialog I can see only 8Bit.
Does TMPGEnc this downsampling and use 8bit after import or its only a bug from the Importing Screen?

Ivo  Home )  2018-05-25 19:20:28 ( ID:wmi0aqtcayk )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hello Mike
I try to import an DNxHD 10 bit in TVMW6 version 6.2.8.35
but it will not import the video

Ivo

Question - ProRes 422 No.70995
Tractormatt  2018-04-11 03:22:55 ( ID:etpk2rbswzl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have Apple ProRes 422 audio and video formats recorded. I tried to encode them to mpegII formats. When the encoding is done, I have the video, but no audio. Any suggestions or anyone have the same problems? Thanks

Mike  2018-04-11 17:40:43 ( ID:8idg3eh89b. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Do you have audio in the preview window?
Which audio settings you are using in your encoding profile?

tractormatt  2018-04-13 04:52:49 ( ID:etpk2rbswzl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Yes audio is in the preview window and it plays through preview fine, just post encode it doesn't work. Audio settings are: MPEG 1 Audio Layer 2. 48khz, stereo, 224 bit rate.
