Question - How to delete the select range in timeline? No.70745
Jack  2017-05-26 08:48:31 ( ID:1dmolhtncjo )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hello, I'm trying to edit videos in timeline, I can select the range using these shortcuts [ and ], but how can I delete them from the keyboard?

I read the shortcuts documentation, but I found nothing

#2 How can I change shortcats ?? is that possible ?

tkrave  2017-05-26 13:32:47 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You can simply hit the "Delete" button to delete the selected range, or use CTRL+SHIFT+A. It's in the shortcut documentation under the Cut Edit window section.

Thank you it works now. I noticed that I was selecting all the clip, so that's why delete didn't work as it should.

Question - Multiple Tracks on a Single Screen No.70727
Joseph Gotsens  2017-05-21 06:19:23 ( ID:gqxvqgsafth )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I cannot produce a screen that contains several tracks, on thumbnails, that when clicked can go to the underlying chapters. Instead,I get a single screen that I must toggle through to get the next screen containing the next track to click on. This is not good. A single or multiple set of screens containing many tracks should be easy to create and from which clicking yields the underlying chapters. Maybe I am ignorant of the method, if it exists but, it certainly is not obvious as it should be.

Request - Intel Quick Sync needs full range option and higher bitrates if possible No.70714
Phil2017  2017-05-16 06:09:15 ( ID:hjhfyrchxt6 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi

I've got MasteringWorks 5 and looking to upgrade to 6, so currently testing version 6.

With a new PC I'm keen to use Intel Quick Sync (Intel Media SDK), however this is lacking a full range option under Advanced settings, and currently is fixed at 16-235. As I understand it Intel Quick Sync does have options for indicating full range video, could this be implement please?

Also in my tests for 4K footage at level 5.2 the maximum bit rate I could set was around 65Mbps, is this a limitation placed by Intel or could that be increased?

Regards

Phil

Hi

Excellent to see full range options are now support on Intel Quick Sync encoding on the latest version.

When encoding with Intel Quick Sync, is it still restricted to a maximum of 65Mbps bit rate? Unfortunately having used the previous version 6 trial which has long since expired, I can't use the new version in trial mode anymore to check myself.

Regards

Phil

Preferences - Reset to Default
Are all settings reset to default or just the selected line?

tkrave  2017-05-19 13:18:41 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

It resets all preferences to default.

Question - CPU usage change after newest update No.70697
Thranduilion  2017-04-28 18:38:33 ( ID:tdzz1ltpiok )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

After updating to 6.2.2.29

the # of threads used to encode (using the same preset from before the update) now uses only 16 threads; it used 36 before the update.

Anything I can do?
Thanks!

I'd love the ability to change the colour scheme or have a selection built in to choose from. I find the default dark a bit too dark for my liking!

Question - Stabilization Filter No.70692
Cody  2017-04-23 08:09:02 ( ID:7a8lfp1ablo )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi there,

I can't find this option so I suspect it doesn't exist but thought I'd ask. Is there a software filter for image stabilization to take some camera shake out of action cam footage?

Thanks a bunch

Question - Manually sync audio and video? No.70669
hurricane51  2017-03-31 16:37:55 ( ID:wvlp3krcken )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Is there a way to manually re-sync the audio track to the video track in an MP4 file? This is a breeze in Vegas Pro, but I don't see anything that seems to permit it in VMW 6

tkrave  2017-04-04 12:04:27 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You can adjust the Audio Gap in the Cut Edit window to manually adjust audio/video sync issues.

Sorry so late in getting back to you. Thanks for the info -- I'll try the next time I need to sync.

Question - Simultaneous Encoding with Batch Encode No.70645
Mkens  2017-03-12 12:31:47 ( ID:v3qkxewwzul )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I'm taking .MTS files from a Panasonic AG-AC90 (AVCHD) and having to convert them to either an MPEG 1, 2, or 4(h.264). I have hundreds of hours to do.

My question is: how do I best approach maximizing my hyperthreaded cores (4) with the batch encode tool? I've upped the usable logical cores to 7 for my hyperthreaded quad core. Are there output settings aside from NVENC that would limit the amount of files able to be encoded at once? If I take one project of 15 clips to be transcoded into individual files (not combined) from TMPEG VM 6 and send it to the batch encode tool, should I see it encoding up to 7 clips at the same time?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to flesh out what I should expect to see and if I could be more efficient.

Question - WIN10 and VC-1 No.70635
MovieFan7  2017-03-03 22:26:07 ( ID:zjf9woumjvw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Anyone had any joy getting TVMW6 to open MKV containing VC-1 video in Windows 10?

Sergey  2017-03-11 18:46:29 ( ID:xbxgzw.iubw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I think, you must install and activate external VC-1 video codec into OS for this operation. For example FDDSHOW ( http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/ ). After insatall activate VC-1 codec in "Codecs" tab of Video decoder configuration interface ( http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/images/front1.png )

Question - 720p/59.94 to 720p/23.976 with or without AVISynth No.70569
Cubdukat  2016-12-22 02:25:45 ( ID:8pc1vsvthth )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have been using MeGUI for several years to convert 720p/59.94 TS files to 720p/23.976 Blu-Ray compatible m2ts files, but I would like to switch that over to TVMW6 because MeGUI is no longer being supported, and I'm already using TVMW6 to encode 1080i/29.97 to 1080p/23.976 to take advantage of QuickSync acceleration.

When I used TVMW5 previously, I was able to take AVISynth files into it with the decimate parameters intact, but TVMW6 can't load AVS files as far as I know. Is there a setting within TVMW6 that will allow it to accept AVS files, and if not, can the decimation be done from within TVMW6 and how would I do that?

tkrave  2016-12-23 13:47:01 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I was able to import some test avs files into TVMW6. You just have to make all files visible in the file selector window and select your avs file.

Drag 'n drop also works.
