Will TMPGEnc work with a celeron 600mhz processor?

mfatic  2003-01-27 20:54:53 ( ID:gj560bikxej )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

It should. I've run it on a 900mHz Duron which is the equivalent and it runs. It runs slowly, but it runs.

Minion  2003-01-27 22:28:03 ( ID:a6p1jd3ovjw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Yes My other computer is a 800mhz Celeron and it works fine But slow...

Question - problems when encoding part 2 of a movie No.34026
hvorforikke  2003-01-27 15:44:16 ( ID:itr7j3nmssr )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

i've got a movie that i want to cut into two files(because of the size).
i used the source range to define this, and the first file works great. But when i start to encode the last part(a little underneath half of the movie) it says that it will take about 714hours to encode.i've tried to increase the priority in the option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in->DirectShow Multimedia File Reader to 2, but it didn't help.

anyone who can help?

Minion  2003-01-27 22:34:47 ( ID:a6p1jd3ovjw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Instead of useing the Source range encode the whole file then use a Mpeg editor to Cut the file in Half....

hi
does anyone know why i'm getting a message tmpgenc caused an exception in 10h in module mp43dmod.dll at 0187:073e5c5d when i try to encode any film,i had just encoded d-tox successfully.

thanks

Minion  2003-01-27 22:33:24 ( ID:a6p1jd3ovjw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

From looking at the error It seems that it is the Codec that is decodeing the file that is causeing the error. "mp34dmod.dll" is the Mpeg-4 codec that is decodeing the file, it could be getting the error if your AVI file has errors in it, this is Probably the case if your files are downloaded off the net..You can try useing Virtula Dub to scan for errors and Mask the errors then make a Direct stream copy of the file and try encodeing the copy..or maybe try Frameserveing the file to tmpgenc...

Question - Window Size of Playback No.34022
Rand  2003-01-27 08:53:25 ( ID:x1ivsnjxbpa )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi. I'm testing the program now and it seems to work pretty well, but I have a question:

1. It seems that a user is not able to control the size of the playback window (e.g., 720 x 480 or 640 x 480). Is this true or am I missing a step? I see the area that refers to the window size but it's grayed out. Is that because I only have the test version?

Thanks a lot for your help and I look forward to hearing from someone.

Best wishes,

Rand

TMPGEnc locks a lot of the settings. You can unlock any of them by right clicking on the field description and selecting unlock. You can also load an unlock template (unlock.mcf). It's in the Extra directory.

Question - Serial Number/Registration No.34019
Todd Fields  2003-01-27 05:48:48 ( ID:rcn9mesu3m6 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi,

I just purchased my licensed copy and received my serial number. I can't see anything on the splash screen where I am able to key in the serial number.

Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Todd

I had the demo version, not the plus version loaded. Sorry about that.

I have the same problem, in fact I found your post looking for an answer. Hmm, seems like a good place to post one explaining the process. Let me know if you figured it out.

Question - Win XP and Tmpgenc setup No.34017
Bob  2003-01-27 04:49:59 ( ID:jtkeykdh.n. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Have had Tmpgenc on my win 98 computer and worked great.
Now I have a new Athlon Xp 2700 on a gigabyte board and
windows xp pro. I'll use smartripper, then dvd2avi and then
feed it into Tppgenc for encoding. I keep getting errors and it
will not finish a job. Sometimes I get a floating point error, or
sometimes it blue screens and then reboots.... Any tips ?

Bob  2003-01-27 04:58:27 ( ID:jtkeykdh.n. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Most of the time I get a: Illegal floating decimal point calculation order error.

Question - Batch encoding fails after 1st avi file No.34015
stringer1967  2003-01-27 04:40:35 ( ID:gfs3fzybyzl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

When I batch encode my avi files TMPEG shuts down.
It worked the first time with 8 avi files, but now it only encodes the 1st avi
to mpeg1 then closes TMPEG. I've rebooted my windows XP twice.
any help or suggestions?

Rick  2003-02-07 14:13:27 ( ID:he4tbdlesmn )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I had the same problem. It seems to be with the monitor energy saver option. I turned my option to never and it now works fine.
