Yes you can just create an ISO and burn with another program.
I always have the option to change the write speed when I use this program. Maybe you should try updating firmware on your DVD drive, or reinstalling the program. Or maybe try different DVD-R/DVD+R discs. Some drives don't like certain discs.
Is Pegasys working on an update or a new version of DVD Author? It's been a couple of months since the front page of Pegasys-inc have been updated. Last update was for the older TMPGENC 2.5 encoder.
I would like to see more templates and buttons and more features for DVD Author.
Hello I from Spain. Can anyone help me please? How can I repair the problem "read error ocurred at address 0011fe1b of module TMPGEncDVDAuthor.exe´with 0000014C". What I have to do? Thanks
I've noticed that the encoded background image of the menu has washed out blacks compared with the original. This is with yellow font and drop shadow in the particular dvd menu I've just made. Compared with the photoshop image and the DVDAuthor menu theme unencoded page, the encoded output has a higher black setup. I'm wondering if this is due to the drop shadow, or the rollover highlight colors, or font color.....
When trying to convert a file I get "Unable to load P3Package.dll" error message. I am a newbie can antone help as I don't know what this is referring to. It has happened on to files so far.
Ok, so I make up my DVD. Let TDA author the dvd. This can take 40 mins up to 3.5 hours depending on the source video. Burn to disk, check, then find I want to make a change.
How do I make a minor , say spelling correction, and not re-author the dvd?
I don't think that's allowed. You must get it all correct and author or you will have to do it again. When it authors, it merges everything into VOBs so you cannot edit anything on the menus. But I'm not so sure about track titles.
I created a dvd, edit main menu, using Layout #10.
I am using mpg1 files as the source video.
Video #4 and others have been re-encoded using TMPGENC.
The several standalone DVD players will not select the fourth title in the list.
Also, when moving between track listings, from bottom up, it skips #9 or second to last. When moving the selection marquee from top to bottom, it selects #9.
i started with an avi file, which i then encoded to mv2/wav. i then use the dvd author tool to create a dvd file structure. burn the disc, and i have no audio on it.
This happens to me all the time.
You may be missing the audio codec needed. Use GSPot.
Most likely though, it just didn't come through.
Try extracting the audio track.
Use Virtual Dub for avis.
Or use TMPGENC go to File/Tools/Demupliplex.
Double click on the audio track to extract and save to disk.
Then when you fo to author click browse to specifically select the extracted audio, thus overriding the audio track loaded by default.
I had the same problem. Here is what I did:
Uninstalled DVD Author
Uninstalled Nero Burning Rom (I don't think that really mattered, but did it anyway)
cd c:\windows\system32
del px*.*
I had to delete anything that started with px from the system32 directory under the windows directory.
(actually I created a temp directory to hold em just in case I needed em)
Then re-installed DVD Author.
Please add the ability to select the Track Preview Audio from the Main Menu. I put a 15 sec clip of the movie on this thumbnail, and it would be great to hear the audio along with the video. I ususlly disable the background audio and just have a silent main menu with the movie preview. Having both the video and audio would be much better.
If I have more then one track on the main menu, the "highlighted" one should have its audio played.
