I'm on the Trial Version on Authoring Works 7, this is the questiuon that can make me buy ot not the software.
I have a lot of mkv videos with subtitles and various audio files, i want to import them and make my personal blurays but whenever i import something it doesn't include the option to see the subtitles that are already on the video i'm importing. I don't want to pass it to Handbrake to make more files and making my process slower, so i was asking if i'm doing something wrong or how i correct it
I'm making a menu and I'd like to make the title tracks appear some seconds later than the beginning of the video I'm adding on the background. Here I'm attaching a video of mine as an example so as to make it clear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiV2BlHQ1tk
I've been able to do that by using the fade-in effect on the track titles and making the highlights opaque (as I can't find a fade-in effect for those). However, if you use the arrow on the screen and press randomly (even if you can't see the titles), any of the videos will play, as the disappearing and appearing of the titles is nothing but an optical effect. What I want is the actual options to play the video to appear later (not just the titles' pictures).
Hi there. I'm brand new to TMPGEnd Authoring Works 7. However, I've worked in video editing for the last 30 years, so I'm not quite a newbie to the field.
I created some subtitle files in Premiere for a video I need to make a Blu-ray of, and I tried embedding it in the Quicktime file, I created a side file in srt format, and also converted it to .subtitle format also, but I seem unable to import it in the project.
It's as if I need to create the subtitles straight in the project, which would be insane, when you already have a file available.
Hello, I am trying to create a blu-ray menu for a physical release of my short films.
This is all I’m trying to do:
• Intro video with my company logo.
• a Top menu with “Play All” and “Select Film” buttons.
• Play All plays all films then returns to the top menu.
• Select Film takes you to the first film’s menu page.
• a menu page for each film with “Play” “Next” and “Main menu” buttons
• Play plays the film then returns to that films menu page.
•Next goes to the next films menu.
• Main menu goes to top menu.
• Last film is simply “Play” and “main menu”
this seems like it should be relatively simple, but boy oh boy, I’m beating my head against a wall here.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
I created a Blu-ray with Top- & Track Menus. The disc will contain 2 Tracks. I want my Player jump back to the Top Menu once each track as played to the end.
However, when the main feature (Track 1) ends it automatically plays the Bonus Track (Track 2) but I want the disc to return to the main menu once track 1 is finished.
Within the "Blu-ray Global Menu Settings" I have selected the following settings:
"Disc Insertion Action" > Display Top Menu
"Default Track Playback End Action" > Display Top Menu
"Player Menu Button Action" > Display Top Menu
I have searched and clicked far and wide but I couldn't find a solution to my problem
Unbelievable 😂, right after I had posted this issue to the forum (after 2 days of trying to fin out myself) .... I found the solution within 5 minutes 😂
The Solution:
In the 'overview window' where you can see all menu pages at once...
....I simply hat to click on
"Display Item Settings" > "Main List Settings" > "Appearance of Play Button: Play All" > "Behaviour of Play Button: Play/ Select First Item in Page" (instead of "Play All Tracks")
Well, should anyone elses in future have the same issue.... Here's your solution 😅
Hi I'm a 3day newbie, I have so far got the DVD looking and working just the way I want it, BUT there is always a "But", on my DVD there RE 6 INDIVIDUAL VIDEO TRACKS, when I run the simulation everything works perfectly, BUT when I burn the DVD and then run it on my DVD player track 6 is the same as track 1, the thumbnails are correct, buttons do what they should, I have Burned 12 DVD's so far andI am now at a total road block, any help would be greatly appreciated.
regards
Trevor
My situation is this: 1 video file with 2 audio tracks and 2 subtitle streams. I have all of this loaded in but I can not for the life of me figure out how to get this represented on a menu.
All I want is a background image (that's the fun part!) and 1 text link that says something like "DUBBED" and another that says "SUBTITLED". The dubbed will link to the video file and play it with audio track 1 and subtitles track 1 (translated on screen text). SUBTITLED will lead it to the same video file, but with audio track 2 and subtitle 2.
No matter how many times I select "Create Unique Page for Audio and Subtitles Selections" on the menu wizard... no such thing happens.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
Thank you!
I have the same question, how do you add a subtitle ON/OFF button in the Top Menu when I only show Tracks from within the TOP Menu.
This is the deciding factor if we buy this software or not.
Trying to explore other software at this point.
Very New to Pegasys. My question is what final frame rate does Pegasys encode down to before it writes to DVD disc? I’ll use media encoder after the edit to export (Adobe premPro) to feed Pegasys. What is the native framerate to initially shoot with (24-30 interlaced or progressive) so there’s little degradation? Thx for your time in advance.
In the chapter menus, as soon as I set an animated background, the thumbnails of the different chapters are fixed when they should be animated. Is this a bug, or is there a way to fix it ?
Hello everyone,
I’m working on a project with a single-page menu that features four tracks. My goal is for the menu to automatically highlight the next track after one finishes playing. This works perfectly for the first three tracks, as they return to the top menu and highlight the subsequent track.
However, I’m encountering an issue with the last track. Once it finishes, it remains highlighted on itself instead of looping back to highlight Track 1 again.
Has anyone else experienced this? I’d appreciate any tips or solutions on how to make the last track return to highlight Track 1 after playback. Thanks in advance!
Hi!
I am a new user of Authoring Works 7. Is it possible to replace the source track, leaving the chapter markers and thumbnails as they are?
I had to do some changes in my source video. It would be handy, not to do the whole DVD Menue work again, as it was in Adobe Encore.
I want to be able to select individual chapters for play from the Track menu. I want all chapters to be displayed at once. If I select Chapter 1, I want the full track to play and then return to the top menu. If I select Chapters 2 or higher, I want the end action to be return to the Track menu. At present, I cannot figure out how to have all chapters displayed at one time on the Track menu. Thanks for any assistance.
Each chapter to be played individually, that is indeed what I would want. (See my entry of 26-Aug-2023.)
This can already be accomplished by added an end-of chapter-command, moving to the track menu of that chapter.
Would really help me a lot. Thanks
