Question - Audio DVDs - Possible with TAW5? No.70691
James Robinson  2017-04-22 13:39:24 ( ID:0btjfo3fxuf )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hello, Currently I use Apollo Audio DVD Creator, but it is somewhat limited. Can an audio DVD be created in TAW5? If so, Can someone outline the steps? I would need: album links on first page, then a page for each album, displaying song links, returning after each one played.

Thank you for any help.

JAmes

tkrave  2017-05-19 13:28:20 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

It cannot produce DVD-Audio (DVD-A) formatted DVDs.

I suppose you could create a DVD-Video project with audio tracks and images, but you'd still need a DVD-Video player to play it.

Question - Number of chapters 16x9 vs 4x3 No.70690
James Robinson  2017-04-22 13:34:43 ( ID:0btjfo3fxuf )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hello, I have not been able to find an answer to this question and am looking for help, please.

When creating a menu, why is there only 16 chapters available for 16x9, while 4x3 gives you up to 32? It would seem that you have more screen area on a 16x9 screen. Also, are there any third party utilities that will let you edit TAW5 chapter screens? Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

James

tkrave  2017-05-19 13:30:57 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I think it's a weird limitation of the DVD-Video specifications, if I remember correctly. I'm not sure what the reasoning is, but it's not a limitation made by Pegasys.

Don't know of any third party utilities.

Question - Animate a PopUp Menu No.70680
deaddisk  2017-04-12 02:03:34 ( ID:gtyvk6pm/6c )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hello :)

Is it possible to animate a PopUp Menu like fading in/out by pressing the PopUp Menu Button?

tkrave  2017-04-12 14:08:46 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Unfortunately, no. Only the regular top/track pages can be faded in and out.

Thanks for your help!

tkrave  2017-04-11 18:17:21 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You may need to adjust the bounding box around your image.
TAW5 tends to make a larger bounding box than the actual image which can make resizing more difficult.

Select your image to see the bounding box and then adjust the height.
Once the height is adjusted, you should be able to increase the width to the full width of the screen.

Question - Audio Track Selection Doesn't Appear No.70627
hurricane51  2017-02-24 12:44:52 ( ID:bmcajo/ppzg )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have several tracks with multiple audio tracks in each one. My global settings are set display the button to select the audio track, but without success.

The 3 audio tracks appear in the source page for each video.

Is there something simple I am missing?

tkrave  2017-03-22 13:38:13 ( ID:t7rw5rdz3jm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Does your menu have separate track menu pages, or is it top menu only? I believe the audio/subtitle buttons only appear on the track and popup menu pages.

Is it possible to convert Blu-ray project to DVD project ?

Blizzard  2017-02-13 02:02:22 ( ID:0qutv2teqd. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Have you clicked "Open with Conversion" on the main page ? Then you just open the BD project and change to to DVD with the drop down menu.

Question - How to add long audio track to bluray overlapping all videos No.70610
Chris Lomont  2017-02-11 12:53:13 ( ID:0ooijz/wzt. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have created a Blu-ray from many old home movies, in 20+ chapters. They are silent. I want to add a single long playing audio track to play along with the whole thing, but cannot figure out how to do it. If I add the audio to the first chapter, TMPGEnc TAW5 simply resizes the first clip to as long as the audio.

Is there a way to do this? I do not want to hand split the audio into 20+ pieces and add one at a time to tracks (plus that would likely have audio gaps).

Thanks!

Blizzard  2017-02-12 05:28:17 ( ID:0qutv2teqd. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi. Not sure if I can help but I will try. First can you clarify, do you mean you have 1 long file within 1 track that is chapter marked 20 times, or do you mean you have 20 different files within 1 track (thus making every clip a chapter) ?

Chris Lomont  2017-02-12 05:57:55 ( ID:0ooijz/wzt. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have 20 video clips, set as 20 chapters. I want to take a long list of songs, merge them into one audio, and have them play while the 20 video clips play.

Cutting the audio into 20 sections would be a pain, and I suspect would be hard to get to sync nicely at the boundaries.

Blizzard  2017-02-12 10:46:32 ( ID:0qutv2teqd. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Have you thought of authoring the disc first without your music track (no need to do a menu at this stage) and then because it will join up all video clips in to 1 big file (output to blu-ray folder), you could then import that in to a new project, then chapter mark each video, this will then show your video as one long clip but still with it chaptered in to 20 different points. Because it is now one long file you can add a long music track to it.

Just an idea.

Question - Specifications for BD-MV source video? No.70581
Alexander  2017-01-04 22:57:43 ( ID:wmjblqslemn )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hello to you all Pegasys guys!
Who can tell me the right specifications for BD-MV source video files?
Because of I produce BDMV file from Sony VideoStudio but AW5 tells me that it needs to reconvert it (no smart render, red sign)!..

Persen  2017-02-09 23:03:58 ( ID:6tr/46zxmom )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Creating the videos as M2TS files with H.264 MPEG-4 AVC codec, might get you a step closer to smart rendering in TAW5.
That is the standard used for Blu-ray.

Question - Why STILL no DTS? No.70519
KevMull  2016-11-08 05:42:55 ( ID:zqkpo9x8l/m )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

STILL there is NO DTS/DTS HD or Dolby True HD support....WHY????

DD5.1 640kbps went out with DVD.

Time to get with the times Pegasys your products are looking dated

Persen  2016-11-14 21:55:03 ( ID:6tr/46zxmom )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Because if they had the support for DTS and HD audio, then you would have to pay up to 5 times as much for the Pegasys software.
Why do you think that all the other editor and authoring software who do have the support is so darn expensive?

Besides, their software was not created for some one like you to be working with all the illegally downloaded Blu-ray rips of yours. It is mainly focused on working with home videos that people filmed using their own video cameras, where the typical audio in those are standard Dolby Digital 2.0 or 5.1

If you don't like it, feel free to pay the $500 to $2000 for the software to get your precious DTS and HD audio support. No one is forcing you stick with the software from Pegasys.

Question - What happened to support No.70510
Lloyd61  2016-11-03 16:42:49 ( ID:ybv5gfxz2rj )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Over a month ago I started having issues with the CUDA aspect with regards to this software and another two TMPGEnc software packages. Initially they were very responsive and had several suggestions which I tried, in the end they had me delete a couple of files from each software package directories and this has essentially permanently disables the CUDA part.

Since then I have heard nothing more and they no longer respond to further requests in this matter.

Are they admitting defeat in that their software is buggy and by ignoring the issue it doesn't exist?

Given the money I have invested in this company over the years, this is very poor and makes me think twice on further support. Why should I support them if they turn their backs on me.

Persen  2016-11-14 22:19:09 ( ID:6tr/46zxmom )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I don't know about your issues, but i have no problems with CUDA in TAW5 or TVMW5
The NVIDIA driver i use is 353.30 for my Asus GeForce GTX650-E-2GD5, where the CUDA was recognized immediately after updating to that driver version.
Have Windows 7 64 bit by the way, never wasted my time on 8, 8.1 or 10

Lloyd61  2016-11-26 16:16:53 ( ID:ybv5gfxz2rj )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have updated the NVIDIA drivers several times now, but have not tried reinstalling each piece of software to see if it has been rectified.

The main issue is that support have hung me out to dry, don't even have the decency to say they have no idea, they now ignore any request from me for support on this matter.

I see that my comment here don't even invoke a response. thanks for your money, now shutup.

Lloyd61  2016-11-27 15:32:54 ( ID:ybv5gfxz2rj )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

As an update to this issue, I completely removed the offending applications and reinstalled them, the problem seems to have been resolved.

Thanks Support................not

Kuno  2017-04-28 09:18:17 ( ID:4b6hwlohank )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Just so you know, all updated drivers have disabled CUDA for video encoding. Nvidia only uses NVENC now, which is the hardware on their cards. I know your post is 4 months old, but if you're still using CUDA, your hardware is ancient and should be replaced. NVIDIA stopped supporting CUDA for video transcoding 3 years ago. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=391269

Persen is stuck in a time warp, that is why their stuff still works. Old hardware, with old software and old drivers. All of us with newer hardware are waiting for NVENC support, as they have already offered it in Video Mastering works 6 and PGMX creator, but NOT for Authoring Works 5. Hopefully it's in 6, as VSO software has NVENC available in their bluray conversion software, and it costs considerably less.
