TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4 BBS [ Sorted by thread creation date ]
had the same problem
solution is download "windows installer cleanup utility" search google.
find tmpg references and delete them. 1714 is a windows installer error. not the program itself. now install should be fine.

"wizard was interrupted", cannot install, invalid installer, cant find "tmpg..._.msi" no matter how many times i browsed for it and told it exactly where it was!...package corrupt, etc.
Anyway to export subtitles to use with other software?
for example avi or mov with alpha channel so we can use it with motion graphics software like Adobe after effects??
I think you can only export subtitles you've created (either by typing them in manually or using a .srt file or something) then you can export them as an XML subtitle file (.xsubtitle) or a .subtitle file.
Thanks for the answer!
I can export (.xsubtitle) file but I need to convert it to (srt), tried different subtitle software but it seems (.xsubtitle) is not compatible with other programs.
I have a problem with TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4. I have dv avi movie file which I ripped from my camera (almost 16gb). I want to create DVD from this file but when I add avi dv file on TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4 audio is very slow. This same with output DVD. Please help!
I have recently purchased a new laptop and has Windows 7 64 bit O/S. I have installed several programs since I purchassed it but when I come to installing TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4 I continually get the error "This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package" the previous O/S was Vista Ultimate 64 bit and I had no problems what so ever and help would be appreciated
I was wondering whether Authoring Works 4 will ever support Divx Ultra files larger than 4032MB? I thought the Divx company added support for larger files than this back in 2008 or so... I'd like to completely fill up my regular DVDs, or perhaps burn to DVD-9.
I'm kind of a noob at DVD Authoring so correct me if I'm wrong but I can't get the program to burn larger files than 4032MB in Divx Ultra mode.
Why is my MPEG2-TS labeled as Smart Rendering when I'm building the project, but when I output, it starts re-encoding my video?
The files are raw transport streams from my tivo recordings. Some show as SR and have no re-encoding at all, but others show as SR and STILL re-encode. I compared the video properties and all of them are similar except the GOP Length. I'm guessing that's the culprit, but I thought GOP size wasn't an issue for Blu Ray?
BTW, the raw files play flawless on my PS3, so I don't see why AW4 wants to full-render them.
When trying to encode a non-stardard sized AVC file (1280 x 544) to a stardard HD format (1280 x 720) the programme starts with Preparing Output but 20 hours later it has not done anything ? Help ?
Whenever I try to import a m2ts file into TAW4, it becomes non-responsive.
Other bluray files work fine. Is this a codec problem, and if so, what is
the codec?
I converted an AVI file to DVD using TAW4 and enabled the sorround sound 5.1 but there is no 5.1 sound at my speakers, just 2.0 DD. At my Onkyo´s receiver display, i can see the DD indicating that the surround option is enabled. But no sound ate the center, sub and rear speakers. Any help?
Regards,
I have ever use a useful softare to make my video converter from AVI to DVD,I advise you to use "Joboshare AVI to DVD Converter "

No, my AVI file i captured it using an analog video capture card with Virtualdub and thus the sound is analog 48000, 2ch stereo 16bits. TAW4 can`t convert it to DD 5.1?
Regards
I'm not entirely sure since I don't have any way to check it, but that might be the reason. I'm thinking that since those channels don't exist in the source file, they are left empty if you choose to output as 5.1.
It also seems that it only accepts 5.1 input if it is a Dolby Digital (ac3) format audio stream; any other type of audio stream may be limited to 2 channel.
OK, just tried it. Audacity doesn't seem to support 6 channel audio, so that won't work. But if you have or can find VST host software that supports 6 channels, that plug-in should do the trick.
