Question - TVMW5 BBS - Unable to install latest Update 5.4.2.103 No.68126
TriBar  2013-12-12 16:39:24 ( ID:tlrqukwlhym )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi,

I just downloaded your latest version (5.4.2.103) of video mastering works 5 and the install fails with a popup that says

"The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available."
"Insert the 'TMPGEnc Video Mastering Worls 5' disk and click OK."

And also an option to browse to W5ENRetail.msi

When I browse to C:\Temp\D0\TVMW5ENRetail.msi the following message appears:
"The file 'C:\Temp\D0\TVMW5ENRetail.msi' is not a valid installation package for the product TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5. Try to find the installation package 'TVMW5ENRetail.msi' in a folder from which you can install TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5.

anyone know why this is happening?

Hi TriBar,

I had exactly the same problem, contacted the customer support and received the following. Unfortunately, none of the suggestions below worked for my Windows 7 64 bit environment but might still be helpful to you. FYI, in my case, the prior update (5.4.0.100) no longer install (posting the very same error message) so the problem is not particularly with the most recent update (5.4.2.103).

It seems the Windows installer got broken or the security software is
blocking it.

Please run the installer .exe file and choose "Repair" then check about it.

Probably looks like the Windows installer or
msi installer database is broken or It is bug of Windows installer.
You may need to clean up Windows Installer.
- First delete the temporary files from internet.
Please do this:
- Go to...
Internet Explorer > Internet Options > General tag> DeleteTemporary
files.
- Then please download and run Windows Installer Cleanup.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2438651

- Also try this:
Go to...
Start > Control panel > Administrative Tools >Services
You can see an option called "WindowsInstaller" from the list.
Make right click and choose "Start" option.
-Download again the installer .exe file .
-Finally try to install.

Please also try in another Windows user administrator account.

Please install this new version of windows installer:
http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=5a58b56f-60b6-4412-95b9-54d056d6f9f4
then try again.

Also please check these, it seems it is your same issue:
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH103092
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4651515

Please verify about your security software, probably when you
when you try to install automatically your security software scan
such files or block them and so it possibly adds data into them making
such files unusable or having errors.
Please disable such settings from your security software.

Please try this:
Please by a deep freeware uninstaller (such as Revo uninstaller)
http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.htm
deeply uninstall Video Mastering Works 5, then re-install the newest version
and check about it.

Question - TAW5 BBS - BD Menu creation No.68120
alexago  2013-12-10 01:12:55 ( ID:8w.eeuket1r )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi,

with TAW5 can I create Blu-Ray menu as I like, for example

First Menu
|
|-------> Second Menu (to choose Track 1, Track 2, etc..)
|-------> Third Menu (to choose Track 10, Track 11, etc..)

This example is to author some TV series and to use one disc to multiple series: first menu it's to choose what series and the others to choose episodes.

Thanks in advance

Question - TVMW5 BBS - NVENC support No.68119
MicoMaco  2013-12-09 01:04:46 ( ID:l6nchv2qs5w )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Is there any information if NVENC hardware encoding (H.264) will be supported by TMPGenc Video Mastering Works in a near future or in any future? Are there any plans, timelines in the company regarding this?

Kindest regards!

Persen  2013-12-23 23:17:40 ( ID:6tr/46zxmom )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

NVENC is an alias for NVIDIA, so that should already be supported.

mike54  2013-12-24 21:29:47 ( ID:rt7gr8pmtjf )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I don't think that the NVENC of the GK graphic card are use by TMPGEnc.
TMPGRENc use CUDA technology (Nvidia OpenCL). NVENc are the same technology like the QSV of the Intel Core Processor.

Question - TAW5 BBS - Blu Ray Authoring Output Speed No.68111
Skychaser  2013-12-03 01:47:40 ( ID:iqaa0nxp90w )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I'm getting estimated output times of 500 hours for a Blu Ray. Any way to reduce this?

I'm running Windows 7 with 4GB RAM.

Any help much appreciated!

tkrave  2013-12-03 06:32:51 ( ID:.yfti6punfa )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

How long has the output been running when you see this estimate? It can sometimes take a couple of minutes to normalize and get a more accurate output time.

Skychaser  2013-12-03 11:01:56 ( ID:iqaa0nxp90w )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

The longest I've left it is about 20 minutes and I have got a 250 hour estimate.

tkrave  2013-12-04 14:30:24 ( ID:resxbfmz4s2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

What kind of processor do you have?
How long is your video?

Skychaser  2013-12-05 05:44:45 ( ID:iqaa0nxp90w )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

It's some sort of Intel ViiV and I'm doing about 4.5h.

It's also half-way there after 20h, so much better!

AndrewS  2013-12-27 23:10:52 ( ID:ugbrja5dfbo )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I'm getting 899 hours for a single-sided DVD. Unfortunately, at my age, I don't have time...

Persen  2013-12-29 16:14:41 ( ID:6tr/46zxmom )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Roughly 8.5 hours to complete a Blu-ray with 3 movies in 1080p on it.
But then, i also built my own computer with the largest CPU i could get for my motherboard (3.4 Ghz Phenom II X4) and 16 GB quad-channel HyperX RAM.
Has that hardware under Windows 7 64bit.

Question - TVMW5 BBS - Spliting files No.68109
Wayneation  2013-11-28 09:53:29 ( ID:xijn1iws8gk )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have one large working Mpeg file. I need to make the one file into multiple files and put them onto CD,s. File is 5 hours long mpeg 1. I would like to break the file up into files to fit on a CD in one step. Making 5 video files at 700mb each so I can burn the full movie onto seperate disks. Is there anyway to do this in the final step to make your movie?

tkrave  2013-12-03 06:51:41 ( ID:.yfti6punfa )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You can split your movie into 5 equal video clips in the cut editor.
Use the keyframe tool to set 5 keyframes equally apart.
Then go to each keyframe and set a split point.
Upon exiting the cut editor, choose to split and keep the blue and orange clips. You should now have 5 clips.
At output, choose to output each clip as a separate video.

The easiest way to make an MPEG that will fit on a CD is use a constant bitrate (CBR). This will allow you to know exactly how bit the output file will be. Adjust the bitrate until it will fit onto a CD.

I was always able to convert mkv files to dvd through tmpgenc authoring works 4 on Windows 8 but updated to Windows 8.1 and no longer able. I get the message "Could not open the video part of the file xyz.mkv. Only the audio part can be opened". I have tried updating a number of codecs but with no luck so far. The mkv plays fine on the laptop but only tmpgenc can't open. Please help!!

Question - TAW5 BBS - Having one auto-play track No.68105
GLD  2013-11-25 07:10:16 ( ID:h6dz4hf4fj2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

For my home videos and such, I often have three tracks: video track, slideshow track, and finally a credit track which contains date, location, etc...

I have several videos in the video track, and several slideshows in the slideshow track, but I only have one credit page.

So far, I've been able to fit the credits on one screen. So I add just one file (a dummy file) in track three but un-check it so it won't show up on the menu. I also remove the play button. Then I put the credits on the background image. Finally, all you see are the credits and a Return button.

But if the credits cannot be fit onto one page, I would like to create a slideshow of 2 or 3 pages of credits, but unlike the other tracks, I would like this one to auto-play. - Otherwise, the user must click track 3, and then click play (which is redundant because there would be only one slideshow).

Is there a way to do this in TMPGEnc Authoring Works 5?

Thanks again for all.

I doubt that this is possible, so I want to let it be known that this is now a Request!

Some of my .TS files are completely black when I open them in Smart Renderer, even though they play fine with Windows Media Player and VLC Media Player. These are Hi Def 1920x1080i files.

Hi there, I am evaluating the latest build Tmpgenc Smart Renderer, however on my first serious attempt to cut & trim a 9GB movie I am facing some problems.
Basically when cutting & trimming the movie, on some parts, the programs has huge delays (white circle rolling).
Can this be due to a damaged movie?

Question - TAW5 BBS - TMPGEnc Authoring Works 5 Batch authoring tool No.68090
Bruno Modesto  Home )  2013-11-16 00:36:29 ( ID:o.4tzbjg28o )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

for what you TMPGEnc Authoring Works 5 Batch authoring tool can be used?

tkrave  2013-11-20 11:02:16 ( ID:resxbfmz4s2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You use the batch authoring tool if you have multiple projects that need to be output. The batch tool will output them one after the other, allowing you to do other things. It will not burn to disc, just output the necessary files that can be burned to disc.

Question - TVMW5 BBS - Pluginy No.68086
SHINGO  2013-11-12 12:54:07 ( ID://u02az3ozg )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Can somebody help me and explain what and how, I would appreciate it greatly for your help.
I'm sorry that some words can be confusing, but I do not know enough English to make it perfect to use when writing the message and I use the translator on the internet to be able to pass it on the forum here.

tkrave  2013-11-13 06:58:36 ( ID:resxbfmz4s2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Plug-ins are not included and must be purchased separately.

You do not need the AC3 plug-in for Video Mastering Works 5 since it already has AC3 support.
