Just wonder why I'm not able to run TMPGEnc 2.5 in WinXP or Vista ? Only can run in Win2k ??? Why converting a 40 min RMVB file takes about 2.5 hours when run in pentium 4 2.4GHz, 512MB RAM pc ??? Any way to make it faster ? Thanks.......
One big problem we have using the software with any Quicktime codec is that you cannot set the bitrate for Quicktime codecs for audio or Video. This would be a very welcome addition to any future updates etc.
I need TMPGEnc plus 2.53.35.130 or 2.54.37.135. I didn't find them in the site. Are they still available?
Pls kindly inform me to aiaialiu@163.com or aiaialiu@gmail.com.
Thanks a lot.
Hallo,
is there a way to process only audio stream in TMPGEnc4?
(I want to keep original video stream and process only audio as output format)
I see a bunch of templates, but non of them says "direct stream copy" for video :(
I know that i could do that by "demux->process audio->mux back", but its really a pain in the ass, especially if you have like 50+ small files to process.
btw,
It would be nice to have a batch demux/mux feature in TMPGEnc.
Ive jst bought this and tryed to convert some xvid files to mpeg to make a dvd and each time i try to convert my whole system just crashes, im using Windows Vista , does anyone know what the problem is?
If anyone does or if you have had anyway of resolving this let me know mine just started to do this today and when it starts encoding it does fine and after a few minutes crashes the whole computer.
I'm having problems converting HD to DVD. I capture free over the air HD mpegs and use "Tmpgenc 4.0 xpress" for the conversion. The problem is this, Either the video is some what herky jerky or there are jagged edges.
I'd like to convert the High Def mpegs to a 16x9 format. I use Nero to burn it to DVD. I've also used tmpgnc dvd author as well.
I don't have these problems with non-high definition mpegs.
I successfuly set up "TMPGEnc DVD Author v3.0.5.149" on my laptop,
but encountered problem when set up on my desk computer.
The hint are as below,
"The wizards was interrrupted before TMPGenc DVD Author 3 with Divx Anthoring could be completely installed.
Your system has not been modifiled. To complete installation at another time, please run setuo again.
Click Finish to exit the wizard."
That's it.
My stestem is XP With SP2, and system disk in fat32 format. Is that the problem, or should I turn on any of the system services?
Awaiting for your reply,Thank you!
why is it that divx encoding is terrible slow? takes about 10 hours. other software is doing it max. 2h (same quality settings). what is wrong? also loading a file or cutting (scrolling) is very slow. please advice?
I am facing similar problems. I am trying to recode 30 minutes of Full-HD .mts (Panasonic AVCHD - 3.3 GB) as WMV and it takes about 11 hours. :-(
Surely this is a little over the top?
I note that .wmv is the only video I can work with on my Intel Core 2 machine with 4 GB of memory. Anything else just judders and jars.
I first used a bitrate of 8000 (whatevers) instead of the default of 1000, but a, now trying 4000 deinterlaced.

I have a similar problem. Accept Im using Xvid to encode to avi's.
When its starts off encoding its really fast at a whopping 100frames/sec. But then a little later it drop to only 10 frames/sec. I have the dvd contents cached so no problems with disc access.
I just updated to v4.6.3.268, but I dont remember this issue with the previous version.
