Question - TE25 - Soud out of sync after authoring with Ulead products ! No.31325
Hoet  Home )  2002-11-28 14:12:38 ( ID:9zxm3vo8wpo )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

If i use MPEG2 files from TMPGenc 2.57 in Ulead DVD Movies Factory or in Ulead DVD Workshop for DVD authoring; in my DVD reader (a new JVC) my sound get out of sync after few minutes!
If i stop and start the DVD or if y move back a bit the sound get in sync...

If i use the in-built Ulead encoder with my initial AVI file i have no problem with sound (but the movies quality is not so good !).

With Ligos to encode the sound in TMPGenc i get the same problem !!!

What can i do ?
Is it a TMPGenc template problem ?

Question - TE25 - LMPGAD.AX GPF No.31321
Michael  2002-11-28 03:28:07 ( ID:zdk8tsmwrtf )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I've recently been using Tmpgenc to convert some home videos, but recently, when I was trying to do a batch convert I moved one of the vids up in the list. It caused an error in LMPGAD.Ax. I restarted the computer like it said to and then I tried again, same thing. Now, any video I try to convert causes the error. The video still converts, but the audio does not, therefore I'm guessing that lmpgad is an audio component. Anyways, anyone know how to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Michael  2002-12-01 07:07:01 ( ID:zdk8tsmwrtf )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Well, I kinda fixed it. Ulead installed it and I dunno why the file has gone crazy the last few days, but I found out where it was located and simply renamed it to lmpgab.ax and the videos now convert fine with sounds. If I have any problems with the new filename I'll change it back, but it's looking OK for now. Hope this helps someone else.

Hi. I am new to all of this. Can anyone please explain why most (but not all)of the avi files I have encoded (to write to VCD PAL) come out with no sound? The source avi files are all MPEG Layer III but with a range of different bit rates. How do I get the sound?

bobz  2002-11-28 19:46:26 ( ID:6t0cbiyxnza )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I just had the same problem. Are you using DVD2AVI? I was, and couldn't get sound. I had to go into DVD2AVI and click on Audio->Track Number=>Track 2. For some reason, it was set to Track 1 and the audio portion was on track 2. This solved my 'sound' problem. Hope it helps

Hi. I'm new to this. Can anyone explain why some/most of the avi files I have encoded (for writing to VCD PAL) do not have any sound. They are all MPEG Layer III in the source avi files although they all seem to have different bit rates.

You should try extracting the audio to a WAV file with "Virtual Dub" and use that as the audio source...

Hi,

Is there a way to convert RV9 files to mpeg2 files with TMPGEnc ?

Thank
Philippe

Minion  2002-11-27 21:35:48 ( ID:w8yn5mktf8w )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

No....You would need to comvert the RM Files to AVI first with something like "Tinra" or "EO-Video" then encode the AVI with tmpgenc..

Question - TE25 - Can't initialize ACM...and CAN'T raise the directshow from 0 to +2 f.ex ?!? No.31306
Blodshed|  2002-11-27 19:17:41 ( ID:oubv6g6s1pk )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have a problem when I'm trying to start converting .vdr file which is coming from virtualdub with TMEGEnc. When I try to get it run it reports ACM cannot be initialized. I also tried to raise the Directshow to +2 but the program stops responding when I set "ok"....
Could this be somekind of codec problem or what ?

Minion  2002-11-27 21:34:37 ( ID:w8yn5mktf8w )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

The ACM has to do with the "Audio Compression Manager" so try to encode it without the audio and encode the audio seperately and Mux them together after encodeing...

If Tmpgenc says the file is Longer than it says it is Just don"t believe it and encode it anyways and see what happens, then post the results..

Question - TE25 - IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH TMPGEnc PLUS 2.59? No.31293

Thanks.

No i haven't.

ASHY  2002-11-27 19:13:09 ( ID:4adzcnohuc. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Yes there is a bug in the muxer in the new version which is causing the problem you are having.
Just re-multiplex the MPEG in the earlier version to solve the problem.

Minion  2002-11-27 21:29:46 ( ID:w8yn5mktf8w )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Well if they have no sound then you should try extracting the audio to a WAV file with sometimg like "Virtual dub" and use that as the audio source..If you are makeing a VCD and you are lowering the bitrate lower that the Standard VCD bitrate then you need to go to "settings" to"System" and change it to "Video-CD NON-Standard" this will let the file size decrease..But the Quality if files with such a low bitrate will be really bad...

No Minion this won't work in the new version, as I have said, because of the muxing bug.

Minion  2002-11-28 08:39:24 ( ID:w8yn5mktf8w )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I personally Haven"t had a problem With any sort of Muxing problem, So I don"t think it is a Bug with every one...

DALLEY  2002-11-28 12:39:31 ( ID:om0wpxjsd6a )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

ASHY & Minion thankx for the reply. ASHY what do you mean re-multiplex the MPEG with an early verson?

ASHY  2002-11-30 19:17:53 ( ID:n3gjkhi6dvc )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Minion check your MPEG1 VCD encodes, you will find that even when using lower than VCD standard bitrates the bitrate will be padded to standard VCD even when using the 'Non standard' stream setting.

>ASHY & Minion thankx for the reply. ASHY what do you mean re-multiplex the MPEG with an early verson?

If you have used a 'Non standard bitrate' say lower than standard VCD the you will need to use the 'simple multiplex' option in the MPEGtools to and choose the stream setting 'Non standard VCD' to remove the padding.

Just load the file into both fields and rename the output.

ASHY
