I was using the merge-cut option on version 2.53 and when I attempt to cut the file into a second half it freezes on me right after the audio process finishes. Can anyone help me out? I don't believe I'm doing anything wrong but who knows.
instead of useing the "merge& cut" feature try useing the "source range" feature.this feature will let you encode half the movie then the other half(or thirds or whatever)I use this feature cuz cutting doesn"t allways work...
pardon me ,
does anybody know if there is the possibility to load tmpeg profile to encode a file directly from the timeline of premiere 6 ?
after having installed tmpeg on my matrox rt2000 machine, I supposed to find tmpgenc at the end of codecs in the export timeline tab of premiere but is not there.
tks in advance
marco
you have to download the adobe premier plugin for tmpgenc, then you can frame serve from premier to tmpgenc,I don"t know were you can get it, try the tools section in "vcd help" or try "doom 9" hope this helps?...
I have attempted to download TMPG Enc - Version 2.53 off this site...
It downloads the .zip file fine, but when I double click on it, WinZip pops up with the error "Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive".
My advice: Take that crap Winzip off your machine and download a much better program called Winrar. It seems like Winzip is the problem.
Go here for the proggy: http://skippels.dns2go.com/newtimes/appz.html
Also if u use a download manager try switching it off.
Ive got a problem where, im using the krystal codec pack, which i was told was similiar to nimo *which i could not get a hold of* and i go to encode a slice of my lord of the rings dvd rip, and it gets the log file done but craps out at 50% even. Could this be the codec im using? Or perhaps a setting? Im using a variable 2 pass 3000 bit ntsc dvd 720x480 with 29.9 frames, and an audio setting layer 2 384kbps at 48000Hz. Any suggestions are most welcome.
I have used tmpgenc v2.02 on my XP system fine to date. Recently I upgrade to 2.53 and found that for all MPGs created by this new version that I can't get the 'cut' function to cut the movie where I want it. I go to MPEG Tools and select Merge and Cut. I go into the Edit section and say select it to cut the first section from the start to the 1h 15s section. When I hit run, it only reads 5m 30s before dumping the first file? So why isn't it reading the entire 1h 15m?? I have never had this problem in previous versions as well? I even tried cutting the MPG file using the tool from v2.02, but it did the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
me too on a win98 pc !! - i can create only an approximately 500 mbyte file and then it stops .
i'am wondering if there is something connected to virtual memory of windows : mine is set to automatic . On my system there is not much space on c: disk and i suppose windows is able to use only c: if is set to automatic and don' t go on other device to find space.
I would try on a win2000 pc with a lot of free space
bye marco
I have this problem to on all versions accept the new "plus" version, try downloading that version,or use the "source range" feature,it works the best for me ,you can choose exactly were you want the movie split,if you download the new "plus" version, give me an e-mail and I will show you a "special feature" I found in this version.....

Uninstall all DIVX codecs and reinstall DIVX 3.11 then DIVX 5.0. both must be installed. If that doesn't cure it click your VFAPI PLUG-IN tab under Enviromental settings and make the DIRECTSHOW MULTIMEDIA FILE READER the highest priority, usually 2.
Hi ,this question isn"t exactly about tmpgenc but some poeple here might be able to help, well here"s my problem:I want to rip dvd"s to make vcd"s,svcd"d,xvcd"s ect.and I think I have all that I need(dvd-rom,cd-rw,800mhz intel,40gb hd,384mb ram).but when I try to rip a dvd I get a blue screen error "can"t write to drive c" which is my hard drive,I can only get about 75mb of a vob. file .I thought I had a hard drive problem,so I returned my computer and got a new one of the same kind.(under warenty),now on my new computer I get the same errors, and becides that both computers are now busted,I tried bringing back the dvd-rom and got a new one and that didn"t help, tried smart ripper, clad dvd,and dvd decrypter with the same errors and many different dvd"s, so if any one knows any thing about the"CAN"T WRITE TO DRIVE C" error while ripping please help me the computer company is sending me my "3 rd "computer...PLEASE HELP...........THANX...
thats the hard drive,I did replace it I replaced the whole computer, and still get the error, now they are sendidg me my 3 computer this week...any one else have a sudgestions..thanx any way techno.......
Maybe ur power pak could be faulty cause it may produce alot of current therefore frying some components which can cause this error.
U tried updating the motherboard driver?
Disable the UDMA mode from the BIOS and try again
Try using other software if possible
If still no luck, then try the same process on a different machine, as a test, to see if u r doing things correctly. If so, your system is faulty and faults may be from the batch.
Techno I'm sure somebody else mentioned on this board about not undermining other peoples advice that they give.
I did not udermine YOUR advice. I merely added to it.
The advice I am giving is in addition to yours and is meant to help by turning off certain windows features to increase the compatiblity with the program.
It may work it may not, but it's worth a try.
YOU are not the only person on this board with some technical knowledge,so just cool it, ok.
thanx TECHNO,I fixed it,I made my dvd-rom the master and the burner the slave,I turned of the "dma" on the dvd-rom and got rid most of my start up programs, and now my computer is fine, you guy"s rule !!!!!...thanx sherlock
Techno stop blubbering and grow up boy.
Your right, these boards are supposed to be helpful and not for trouble, but you seem to cause plenty. I don't under estimate anybody, but don't over estimate yourself either.
From what I've read on this board you seem to put yourself above everbody else and sham everbody elses advice if it conflicts with yours. This is no way to behave Techno. I know you probably sit at your PC all day with nothing else to do but post comments on this board, but that doesn't make you king on here.
Give a little respect to others on this board and you will find you will have it returned. Remember intelligence doesn't gain respect, but sincerity will.
