My computer is DELL XPS M1330 with NVIDIA 8400M GS, with latest drivers 195.62 (supporting CUDA 3.0)
Can you please check what is going wrong? Used to work ok with Vista 64bit and Windows 7 64bit with previous NVIDIA drivers...
I am the CUSTOMER and I demand YOU get in touch with NVIDIA to inform them that TMPGEnc does NOT work anymore with their latest driver series (which they incorporate CUDA 3.0 technology).

If I recall correctly, there's a problem with 4.0 XPress working with CUDA driver version 195. I think they'll recommend going with version 191 or earlier until a fix is released.
It happens to me as well. It is definitely caused by the new nVidia drivers. I've logged a bug report with the Technical Support. It's a bit odd that this new version they released yesterday didn't fix it yet. I was hoping it would.
even if i was from tmpgenc i can assure you that attitude and demanding them to sort it out, gets cusotmers naff all.
and from my experince with my clients and friends, those runtime errors happen when a kegen is used and is not a current one, when this is done and the user goes to open the software the message comes up, and at times the licence details come up.
how ever I am not in anyway statign this is the same case for you.
Ok, people, I've got a response from Pegasys by saying that their current TMPGEnc Xpress application is not compatible with the newest release of nVidia drivers (i.e. 195), because nVidia introduced a new version of CUDA (i.e. 3.0). People have only two options. They can either downgrade to the 191 version of nVidia drivers if they use CUDA capability or disable UtilsCUDA file in TMPGCEnc Xpress folder by renaming it.
I'm surprised though how Pegasys is so slow in updating their SW to follow CUDA evolution. nVidia announced the new version and released the development tools for a long time (at least since the middle of last year) and Pegasys didn't bother to update their SW to match it. Very sloppy, I must say.
I'm using TMPGENC authoring works 4.0.7.32 trial version on windows 7...
I'm having problem importing mkv files though I've already installed all the necessary codecs require to play mkv files because mkv played perfectly fine in Windows Media Player, it should worked in TMPGENC authoring works right? Other movies files like rmvb works fine after installing the codecs but mkv refuses to be imported no matter how hard i try.
P/S, with the same codec pack I used, TMPGENC authoring works 4.0.7.32 worked fine importing mkv files in WINDOWS XP on my other machine but not on WINDOWS 7. Is there a bug or something? Because I want to make sure everything's in order before I do any purchase on the software. Has anyone encounter such a problem? Anything I can do to fix it?Thanks in advance... =)
Maybe your audio bitrate is too high. If the source is Blu-ray and you're making a DVD, then that's a possibility. Lower the audio bitrate in your track settings.
I've been using TMPGEnc XPress 4 for a while and the other day I noticed it was not working corretly. It loads up, verifies user and licenses, and then says initializing and hangs there forever. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled and samething. I tried using a eariler version and it runs, but I get runtime errors and other odd errors. My Vista system is update with all software updates and virus free. I'm at a lost to what could be causing it. Is there not a log that Xpress generates that might give me some clue?

Why an AVI-DV video captured directly from DV tape the WMV encoding the audio is perfectly in sync!
And a DV-AVI video render from Adobe Premiere CS4 the WMV encoding the audio is out of sync?
I use 64bit and the W7 TMPGEnc Xpress 4.7.3.292!
I solved the problem of audio sync with windows media encoding (wmv) with TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress Version 4.7.3.292 on Windows 7 64-bit, I uninstalled it and installed the TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress Version 4.7.1.284, the problem of sync audio resolved.
Tks
Just wondering are there any known issues with video files being double/triple in size when using TAW4 (Bluray Bdmv)? When using "add a clip" a 8gb M2TS or TS AVCHD file becomes@ 16- 24gb in size.
System: Windows 7 64 bit, 8GGB DDR3, 1.5 TB HD, Asus Maximus 3 motherboard, EVGA GTS 250 video card.
The source video files are most likely compressed with the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC format. Since TAW4 can't output Blu-rays in H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, it has to convert the files to MPEG-2 format which isn't as good at compressing the video data. Thus, in order to keep the same quality level of your source files, it has to increase the size of the outputted MPEG-2 file.
H.264/MPEG-4 AVC compression can maintain the quality of a MPEG-2 file at roughly half the file size.
I have a machine also that is running Windows XP64 and there are no issues with it making the video files larger as mentioned previously. It seems TAW4 only does this Windows 7. Also does the same thing with my other machine using vista 64.
Is this bug a known issue with the technical experts/ creators of TAW4?
Thanks
4.7.3.292 on an XP machine will import (1920 x 1090P) VC-1 files but not on my Windows 7 machine TMPGEnc Xpress just freezes on import. Any ideas? A decoder?

"an error occur while copying '\Picture\track05\clip05\image004.JPG'
The copied source file size is not 4529318 bytes"
i try to do a DVD+R DL with photos incorporated.
i don't understand why ? this photo is ok. there was several photos bigger or smaller.
