Hello! I have 2 important questions, in this days try this product, is good but
There are options for BD authoring without recoding and it does directly 1:1?
I have created: intro+movie+trailer, after authoring this becomes a single file!
normally in the any BD structure are separated this 3 videos.
there is an option that allows me to have them all and 3 separated?
After editing a clip, I am trying to encode file in wmv. However, it just gives me a status "preparing output", and keeps that way, encoding never starts. I installed new K-Lite codec pack, and Windows Media Encoder, as suggested in Help, but still no use. Also, tried in other formats, same thing happens. Any ideas?
I don't know who it was who suggested the K-Lite codecs pack, but that package is nothing than a piece of junk collection of all sorts of useless codecs.
To avoid futher problems, i suggest that you download both Revo Uninstaller and CCleaner.
First you use Revo to remove the codecs pack entirely and when that is done, you use CCleaner to remove the rest of the garbage it has left behind in your computers registry.
In general, i don't suggest that you use WMV, that is also a piece of junk that only belongs in the past.
Encode instead to MP4 H264, much more stable, much more support by all media players, plus you can play a lot more with the bitrates to fit them to your need.
I am doing research on frameserving and video editing (I am still a newbie, but I want the best quality I can get with the most control)
I came across TMPGEnc, and had plans to frameserve it to another program for personal reasons. I mostly want to achieve the best quality/speed ratio possible, I am currently using vegas, but it sometimes crashes, it is a decent program surely, but I am tired of it crashing during various renders and I see a program that can is stable and reliable. If I edit a video in TMPGEnc, will it be similar to the original piece I used on its result?
My apologies for asking so abruptly, thank you for reading.
TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5 is not a lossless editing program. It's primary function is encoding; it will re-encode everything you output.
You can re-encode at the same (or higher) levels and the output might be similar in quality, but it will not be exactly the same.
TMPGEnc MPEG Smart Renderer 4 is a lossless editor; it will only re-encode frames where a change is made (cuts, joins, transition effects, etc.). However, it is only for MPEG video (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC) and it can be finicky on what can and can't be smart rendered.
Hi Dez
I had the same problem. Just read the answer tkrave gave me 4 questions down from yours. The one that starts "cant read avi files". His answer fixed everything. Really quite simple :)
I think currently no TMPGEnc software supports 10bit-depth encoded files. Since they are becoming increasing popular (more quality on the same bitrate) it's a pity Mastering Works 5, Smart Renderer 4 etc. cannot open them. Please add support.
had to delete the previous message as after all these years the forum still hasnt had an edit button added.
Yeah, i just "complained" that they dont have something like or just the avi 10bit that sony vegas and adobe have for rendering. and i did the complaint because its NEEDED when you use noise filters to avoid the chroma banding.
also they really do need to add support for 10bit videos for import aswell as its a royal pain in the rear having to render 10 bit into 8 bit just for the software to work with it
I'm considering purchasing Video Mastering Works 5 (downloaded trial today) as a replacement for a time consuming workflow that was developed by a Sony Vegas user a few years ago to achieve super high quality H.264 encodes. His tutorial made use of Handbrake, a free program that uses the x264 encoder. As I see that VMW5 now utilizes x264, I believe it will be possible to duplicate the configuration settings to achieve the same result.
I'm not very technical when it comes to settings like this, can anyone here assist me with setting up a template to match the x264 settings seen in this video: http://vimeo.com/24640614 starting at 7:42? If I can achieve the same results with VMW5 by frameserving directly from Vegas, then I will buy the software.
Initially only a graphic card can be used. You can try open 2 instances of Tmpgenc at same time and assing one graphic card to each. I dont know if this work because I have only one nvidia card.
Anyway, I have a GTX650 ti and works fine with recoding 4 video files at same time (CUDA decoding and encoding). With your GTX 770 you dont need to use a SLI ;-)
I think there's an audio noise reduction filter. Open the clip editor and go to the Filter tab. You may have to add the filter to your list (can't remember if it's there by default).
hi there, ive just purchased smart renderer4 - and i wondered if theres a shortcut key to quickly grab a frame a JPG without having to enter a name it just does it.
im sure this must be doable
i know you can right click and choose "save current frame in specified format" but its long if you're capturing lots
