Question - TAW4 - How To Have Muci On Menu No.61997
Hakeem  2009-05-07 01:21:55 ( ID:ojp4wtsclag )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I already know how to get music in Menu's.

What I want is to have a song playing start to end, while I flick through varios Menu pages.

Just now, I have to manually add the same song to every Menu page and it starts again everytime I change Menu pages.

Thanks in Advance.

Sorry, that's not possible.

Question - TAW4 - Frustrated with the SlideShow editor No.61995
wg15  2009-05-06 23:03:19 ( ID:uu4.fwjuxgl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I'm still trying to learn how to use the SlideShow editor, but I'm getting very frustrated. Here are some tasks that I'd like to do, but I can't figure out any simple way to do them. Let's see if anyone can point me in the right direction.

1) I wanted to put about 300 slides into a show on a DVD. Because it was over 200 slides, the show was split into two pieces. But now I want to re-arrange the order of the slides and I want to move some of the slides from the first piece into the second and vice versa. I can use drag and drop to re-arrange within one show, but it seems that I can't move from one show to another.

2) Is there anyway to splice/merge/join two slide shows into one?

3) I have an existing slide show, but now I want to add a movie clip in the middle of the show. It seems that to do this, I have to split the show into two pieces, but there doesn't seem to be any easy way to do this.

4) When re-arranging slides, is there any way to move multiple slides at one time rather than using drag and drop to move them individually?

All of these seem like they should be simple tasks, but I sure can't figure out how to do them.

tkrave  2009-05-07 18:35:58 ( ID:lgrl8ryjzyl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Unfortunately, none of those things are currently possible. They're definitely good ideas, and I'd love to see them implemented, but currently it just can't be done.

I'm afraid there's no easy way to do any of the things you want to do; you'll have to do it all manually.

Question - TE40 - navigate by keyframe on edit screen No.58831
stev03  2009-05-06 03:43:58 ( ID:12fmk33nohm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

could you add a method of navigating the video by keyframe in the cut-edit screen?

for example, in the program "virtual-dub" when you hold down the shift button while dragging the navigation slider, only keyframes are shown, making it much faster

tkrave  2009-05-06 18:26:59 ( ID:lgrl8ryjzyl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You can navigate just keyframes with the keyboard shortcut [ctrl + left arrow/right arrow] to go to the previous or next keyframe.

You can also just click on a keyframe in the keyframe list to go to that frame in the thumbnail navigator.

Unfortunately, you can't navigate just keyframes when dragging the slider.

Hi Art,

Maybe someone else can help by posting a message here. Do you mean can transfer or cannot?

My strong suggestion though is please edit your comment to remove your address and email details - they are not needed!

Arthur, if you don't have your product's serial license number (the number emailed to you when you purchased the product) you should contact support via email using one of the form on the following page:
http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/support/support.html

Just scroll down and click on the name of the product you own, then you can submit your question to the support team.

If you DO know your product's serial license number, then you can re-download the software by going to the User Account section of their website:
https://secure.pegasys-inc.com/regist/index.php?lang=en

1)If you don't have a User Account, click on the "Create Account" button and then follow the directions.

2)You will be able to register one of your products' serial license number during the registration period, and after you create your account, you can register the rest.

3)Once your product(s) are registered you can re-download the installer for any of your purchased products.

Request - KARMA - Make Karma useful, file operations? No.61374
barry  2009-05-04 12:56:44 ( ID:naumh078jek )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Love Karma.. great concept and works great.. but I cannot find a use for it without the ability to do file operations such as delete, rename, move, etc.. I've tried jumping from Karma to explorer, etc.. but it is way to hard. I know Karma is a work in progress.. but please.. pretty please...

Could file operations please be added?

Thank you.

Question - TDA3 - Excluding track from "Play All"? No.60871
DarkForge  2009-05-03 13:42:09 ( ID:0or98ju6ica )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hey guys. A quick question here, and I think I already know what the answer is going to be, but I'd just like to make sure...

Is there any way to leave out a track when using the "Play All" feature? So for example, say I have Tracks 1-4 on a DVD, selecting "Play All" would play Tracks 1-3, but not Track 4 - this can only be played by selecting it separately.

Like I said, I realise it's a long shot, (I can't find anything in the Help file to suggest this can be done), but hey nothing to lose by asking.

Thanks in advance. :-)

Question - TAW4 - Normalize volume across Tracks (of music video clips) No.61989
FredWho  2009-05-02 15:18:35 ( ID:wy1rh74x9rk )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I am a nubie, though checked this help section the site and internet!

Could you please advise how/if possible to normalise the volume across all tracks? I have one music video in each track.

I can see I can adjust the volume per track, like 95%, however my ear is not that good to remember a base level volume and adjust the other tracks relative to it. Hopefully there is a normalization setting which can be applied to the project.

Thanks very much for any assistance! I like very much the software.

Mário  2009-05-02 18:19:51 ( ID:mct8vinu/in )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Bellow of the "95%", you have a LARGE button thas says: Copy the current audio stream filter´s settings to the other stream. Click it...(I think it´s that one hehehe)

Rick0725  2009-05-04 23:45:56 ( ID:.qui0lgypoj )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

you will need to normalize each file. I know of no setting that will normalize all.

Question - TE40 - CUDA Error No.58830
Rtype  2009-05-01 23:48:43 ( ID:pzvhi.j88dk )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I am receiving a CUDA error.

:An error occured during the CUDA execution. (cudaError_t=30) {35748B70-CBE7-4484-8CEF-6413CFBA7A58}

This error only happened after I updated to the latest version. CUDA was working fine before I updated.

Question - TAW4 - How to set default button No.61987
Etienne  2009-05-01 09:32:47 ( ID:w1slirbpl6h )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

How do i set the a button as default-button when the menu-page is displayed?

tkrave  2009-05-01 19:50:14 ( ID:lgrl8ryjzyl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

It's not possible to set which button is selected by default.

web-o-holic  2010-11-17 02:11:49 ( ID:chin525d3kk )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

to set the PLAY button selected by default would have been a good choice :-(

tkrave  2010-11-19 08:26:22 ( ID:rtaw9vhji5c )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

The Play button IS selected by default on mine.

web-o-holic  2010-11-20 09:41:39 ( ID:ue/01s3iy3a )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

It used to be that way with older versions.
Now, with 4.0.7.32, always first visible chapter is selected.
If you just press PLAY on your remote control
you will miss the hidden tracks at the beginning.
So you have to navigate to the PLAY button to see all...
It's only 1 track with several clips/chapters
and I couldn't find out how to pre-select PLAY.
What am I doing wrong?

tkrave  2010-11-23 05:35:31 ( ID:rtaw9vhji5c )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Not sure what to tell you. I've tested a couple of DVDs and the Play/Play All button is selected by default on all of my projects. I'm using version 4.0.12.42.
Are you playing this on an actual DVD player or your computer?

web-o-holic  2010-11-23 08:56:38 ( ID:x1b5byuu5fm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have done several projects so far
and I just tried a simple standard thingy...
always the same: first chapter pre-selected.
I can see this in simulation mode first
and later on DVD player as well.

Maybe I will update...
Thanks for your patience, anyway.

web-o-holic  2010-11-24 01:14:56 ( ID:mevdxxbvobh )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

It works now!
I have un-checked in menue behaviour
"when displaying a menue during playback..."

Question - TAW4 - How do you pass thru video without recoding for blu ray No.61985
Rick0725  2009-04-30 16:35:54 ( ID:.qui0lgypoj )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

How do you pass through video without recoding for blu ray.

I am creating a Blu ray project where I just want to author the video at the native bit rate without encoding or recoding. I tried the automatic setting but the bit rate setting for average and maximum bitrate is greyed out at 23000 kbs.

The original source are 5 separate demuxed TS files that have been edited within the software onto one project.

1280x720 Progressive
50 fps frame rate
PAL
the files each have a different avg frame rate of about 15500 kbs

I am creating a blu ray for both pal and ntsc formats.

please advise

Rick

tkrave  2009-05-01 19:48:22 ( ID:lgrl8ryjzyl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

If you are changing from PAL to NTSC, then it will have be fully re-encoded no matter what. If you are just doing PAL to PAL then it shouldn't re-encode anything unless you've cut some scenes, and even then it will only re-encode the areas around the cut scenes.

Bug report - TAW4 - incorrect frame rates for 720P in ntsc blu ray menu No.61983
Rick0725  2009-04-30 16:24:22 ( ID:.qui0lgypoj )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

While creating a blu ray noticed that the frame rate in the menu drop down for ntsc 720P 1280-720 was 29.97 fps. should be 59.94 fps. The menu upon play back was a little jittery.

tkrave  2009-05-01 19:41:57 ( ID:lgrl8ryjzyl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hmm, you're right that's not correct. In the meantime, you can change the menu framerate to 23.976 fps in the global menu settings--Output tab. That framerate should be compliant with the Blu-ray specs.
