I am adding several small clips in single track, and I am having such a waste of time naming every single one of the clips in the track/popup menus! I have the filenames all numbered as they should show up in the menus, but naming the files before importing them became useless. Please, add this feature. Thanks in advance.

Also I make large blu-rays with 50+ videos on sometimes that all need chapters added every 5 minutes. With Nero and Corel software they automatically add these chapter points to every video with a single click, but with Authoring Works I have to manually go to each video to then automatically add a 5 minute chapter to it. If I want every video to have 5 minute chapters, surely they can just add a single tick button to allow this. Obviously this isn't much of an issue with under 10 videos, but with 50+ it is very time consuming for such an easy thing to fix.

Also when I import TS files it always shows the name as "program 1", why can't it just use the name from the file name ?

I am really hoping either AW5 has an update or AW6 comes out with these features.

I love TMPGEnc software and have bought most of the software they bring out, some multiple times for multiple PCs, so I really hope these things can be added as I don't like using other software.

At present I own VMW5 which I use via frameserving with Premiere Pro.
I was thinking about upgrading to H.264 plugin for Premiere.
What i like to know if the H.264 codec is the same for both programs or has the image quality been improved for the plugin.

I guess both should be the same, since both software belongs to Pegasys.

I have a lectures of drawing anatomy. I edited them and sometimes between scenes I have fade out - fade in transition. (That are all movies that I imported in separate tracks.. One movie with transitions as one video file in one track). It looks fine and everything is ok. I added chapters for every lecture. I really want to avoid having this situation: when a selected chapter has finished I have a part of transition of the new scene of the lecture starting, and when I press the next chapter I am in the middle of video transition of the previous scene.

I made a new chapter where I would put only the transition part in it and made it not to be seen as a chapter. Everything is fine ..When I press play all it plays the movie with the transition (that are part of one video file) and when I pres chapters everything is grate I dont have this messy video fade in fade out at the beginig or end of the selected chapters..

The only problem I do have is that dvd players count the hidden chapters as chapters..So I have for example chapter 001 and then chapter 003 becouse he counts hiden chapter also. It just doesen't look very professional..when i read it in dvd player... Is there any solution to correct that? I want that there is no trace of the hidden chapters in dvd players.

Is this a bug.. - Since the last 2 weeks (coincidence windows 10 micosoft update 1511) I am getting a invalid memory type error, When cuda is enabled..

Also the programme has start to hang on large files when coming out of edit mode i.e (programme not responding). Any body else have this issue?

I'm new here. I have downloaded "Free Video Converter". It does not work for me. I select a MP4-file which was taken with my smartphone on android. I get every time the message "failed to convert video data". What may be I'm doing wrong?

Let me start out by saying I like this Authoring program a lot, but just like others out there, there is no "perfect" one program out there for everybody.
Simple things like copying and pasting an object would be a huge benefit to have as well as copying and pasting buttons and relinking them.
When converting a bluray project to a dvd project all the highlights for the thumbnails are missing on the DVD project !!! The bluray works fine.I tried burning to a new disc of different manufacture, didn't work. I tried a different highlight color, nope. I tried deleting the output folder and re-encoding to a new folder, which takes a year and a day every time, nada. I tried open with conversion a second time, a third time, negative.

Checked global menu highlight settings, which always reverts back to highlight tab 1 by the way.
Checked opacity of highlight, set at 100%. It does remember the opacity and highlight style just not the tab.
It will not show up on a Samsung Bluray player so I tried a different Standard JVC DVD player and BINGO, it does show up. Obviously I need it to be compatible with as many players as possible. This has always been my crutch of the projects no matter which program I use, and I have used a lot. Anyone else have this problem? Any thoughts? Happy Holidays !!

I will like to know how can I load all my AVCHD files on a SSD, or external drive, and play on my SONY Blu-Ray. All files has the same name "Private".
I tried to rename, the system doesn't work.

I'm creating a Blu-ray Top Menu and would like to add an additional button to link to the Track Menu. It doesn't let me copy or add another button. Is it possible? Thanks.

That's one limitation that hurts. You can't add/change buttons. Sometimes, I have a headache thinking of a way to build a Blu-ray the way I want. :-\

Some time perhaps, when the market is over flowing with Blu-ray players, who actually supports Ultra HD.

Pegasys has plenty of time to develop a UHD version of TAW, because the market most likely will not be over flowing with UHD players before mid 2018. Not judged by the current development speed of the UHD supporting players, which is actually rather slow.

I often find my 1080i/50 originated videos a bit too "soft" when converted to PAL DVD-compliant MPEG2 video (of course I understand it's been downscaled to 576 lines). I use Lanczos. Any other parameter I could adjust to achieve the sharpest possible result ?

My Mastering Works has stopped joining clips. Now, if I edit several clips together, and click "encode", the outputted result is several separate clips. Can someone tell me what I may have clicked to have caused this, and how I can revert to the normal output?
