How long has the output been running when you see this estimate? It can sometimes take a couple of minutes to normalize and get a more accurate output time.
Roughly 8.5 hours to complete a Blu-ray with 3 movies in 1080p on it.
But then, i also built my own computer with the largest CPU i could get for my motherboard (3.4 Ghz Phenom II X4) and 16 GB quad-channel HyperX RAM.
Has that hardware under Windows 7 64bit.
I have one large working Mpeg file. I need to make the one file into multiple files and put them onto CD,s. File is 5 hours long mpeg 1. I would like to break the file up into files to fit on a CD in one step. Making 5 video files at 700mb each so I can burn the full movie onto seperate disks. Is there anyway to do this in the final step to make your movie?
You can split your movie into 5 equal video clips in the cut editor.
Use the keyframe tool to set 5 keyframes equally apart.
Then go to each keyframe and set a split point.
Upon exiting the cut editor, choose to split and keep the blue and orange clips. You should now have 5 clips.
At output, choose to output each clip as a separate video.
The easiest way to make an MPEG that will fit on a CD is use a constant bitrate (CBR). This will allow you to know exactly how bit the output file will be. Adjust the bitrate until it will fit onto a CD.
I was always able to convert mkv files to dvd through tmpgenc authoring works 4 on Windows 8 but updated to Windows 8.1 and no longer able. I get the message "Could not open the video part of the file xyz.mkv. Only the audio part can be opened". I have tried updating a number of codecs but with no luck so far. The mkv plays fine on the laptop but only tmpgenc can't open. Please help!!
For my home videos and such, I often have three tracks: video track, slideshow track, and finally a credit track which contains date, location, etc...
I have several videos in the video track, and several slideshows in the slideshow track, but I only have one credit page.
So far, I've been able to fit the credits on one screen. So I add just one file (a dummy file) in track three but un-check it so it won't show up on the menu. I also remove the play button. Then I put the credits on the background image. Finally, all you see are the credits and a Return button.
But if the credits cannot be fit onto one page, I would like to create a slideshow of 2 or 3 pages of credits, but unlike the other tracks, I would like this one to auto-play. - Otherwise, the user must click track 3, and then click play (which is redundant because there would be only one slideshow).
Is there a way to do this in TMPGEnc Authoring Works 5?
Some of my .TS files are completely black when I open them in Smart Renderer, even though they play fine with Windows Media Player and VLC Media Player. These are Hi Def 1920x1080i files.
Hi there, I am evaluating the latest build Tmpgenc Smart Renderer, however on my first serious attempt to cut & trim a 9GB movie I am facing some problems.
Basically when cutting & trimming the movie, on some parts, the programs has huge delays (white circle rolling).
Can this be due to a damaged movie?

You use the batch authoring tool if you have multiple projects that need to be output. The batch tool will output them one after the other, allowing you to do other things. It will not burn to disc, just output the necessary files that can be burned to disc.
Hi, I have a question so I bought via the internet software
TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5 of its full version is 5.4.1.102 paying with VISA card in the amount of $ 112.48 now or in the options can I download the free plug-ins to that version of the software or any of them For instance plugin for AC3 5:1 hmmm I must be purchased separately .....?
Can somebody help me and explain what and how, I would appreciate it greatly for your help.
I'm sorry that some words can be confusing, but I do not know enough English to make it perfect to use when writing the message and I use the translator on the internet to be able to pass it on the forum here.
I have the latest from the download site. It was working fine on Windows 8 Pro then I updated to 8.1 Pro and all of a sudden it would not open. I have also just found out that Authoring 5(5.1.3.57) too is doing the same, stuck in "launching application" since last night
Now it has gone pass the launching application screen because I disabled my windows defender and even my firewall. I have also uninstalled both Video Master 5 and Authoring 5 and reinstalled both. BUT I cant add any clip, when I select add from file, nothing happens, just that my cursor start with the busy cursor revolving thing, but no window popup to select any file. This is happening to both programs
I used DVD Author 3 for a few projects and it worked great for the most part. However there were a couple of things I wanted it to do but they didn't seem to be possible, which sadly prevented it from being an ideal solution for my needs. To be honest it surprised me somewhat as in my opinion they seem like they should be quite basic features. Any remote chance that either of these have become possible since?
1) Excluding a track from Play All. For example: say you had four episodes of a show plus a featurette or some other kind of bonus material (each one presumably as its own track), the "Play All" button would play all four episodes but not the featurette - that can only be selected separately.
2) On DA3 I would go into the Track Menu to play an individual track. However once the track finished it would always return to the Top Menu, meaning I'd have to manually go back into the Track Menu again to select another track - very irritating on one particular project which had a vast number of tracks spread over three menu pages. What I really needed was for the track to finish and return to that same track menu page, ideally with the track I just played still highlighted or maybe the next track in the list, but I could never seem to make this happen with DA3.
And on a somewhat separate note: I've recently been looking into some way of creating "interactive game" DVDs, with a multiple-choice Q&A structure that could keep track of how many correct answers the player gives and play a different end video depending on the overall result. I'm pretty certain that sort of thing isn't possible in Authoring Works right now and I'm not sure what the chances are of such a feature ever being introduced in the future (probably slim to none!) but I just thought I'd throw it out there. ;)
As for item #1, I'm quite sure it's not possible, but it would be a nice feature, and I would think that it would be somewhat simple for them to implement. They may have to add a new track or chapter field which, when un-checked, the "Play all" button would skip.
As for #2, in ver 5, Options for track playback end action: Display top menu; Display track menu (or top menu if none), Play next track; Play next track (disc loop)
As for the interactive game, it's not possible in v5. I also can't imagine this being a feature they are working on?
TMPEGEnc plus 2.5
Video info: I Frames only (SD=PS,HD=TS)Mpeg2 files
When looking at video frame by frame by double clicking "Source Range" under the "Advanced tab" in "Setting"
The application IS NOT decoding the last hand ful of frames properly.
EXAMPLE:
TMPEG shows 1024 frames of video
MEDIA INFO: shows more (by length in milliseconds)
VELA: mpeg decoder card shows more
Again the issue is that it seems the application cannot decode the end of video files accurately.
-What can I do?
-Can somebody help me by suggesting an alternate way in TMPEG to do this?
-The settings seem complex but we ONLY use TMPEG to look at video frame by frame...just a QC measure.
-How can I make sure the TMPEG application is set up correctly to show ALL the frames of video.
I import multiple camcorder files from a Sony camera to create a Blu-Ray or AVCHD file structure for playing on my media player. Typically this would be around 100 clips to make a final merged file that plays for around 1 hour. What I would like to do is to create a DVD style menu structure that has 12 regularly spaced buttons/chapters across the merged files. The only thing I can get from TAW5 is a chapter for each separate file; ie around 100.
So far, the only option I seem to have is to merge the files outside of TAW5 and then start the authoring process from that one merged file. In that way, I can add the 12 chapters automatically without an issue.
This workflow seems to be unnecessarily convoluted. Is it possible to tell TAW5 to insert the chapters based on the final merged file rather the individually contributing files?
Sadly not, I have a similar situation of 70+ files and being fed up of having to chapter each one, one at a time. So I mentioned about including a "all media files chaptered at once by timed intervals" feature to Pegasys and they say they will add it to their list of maybes for a future update or release. So fingers crossed.
