I would like to make a dvd menu for my video, like it was a dvd, that i bourght in the local shop. Thats becuse i have a projekt, were there is 1 movie.
so i tryd to upload a very bad version of the menu that i would like to make.
That's possible with the custom menu creation option. Your track menu will be the chapter menu and the top menu will be what your drawing is. You can then create your own buttons (if you don't like the ones in the program), add a custom background and even make a custom frame for the preview thumbnail.
The program allows you to rotate menu items, but if you want that diamond shape, you'll need to create a custom thumbnail frame.
I was wondering if anyone knows how to get Dolby Digital Audio in a WMV using xpress 4.0? I'm converting my DVD's to WMV files and would love to have the same quality sound output as my original DVD's have. The 5.1 support that the currect version of xpress has is good, but imho DD is just a bit better.
I've seen the plugin on the site to support dd in xpress, but that isn't supported on Windows 7 and is "only" 2 channel.
That plugin isn't for 4.0 XPress, it's for older software that they don't even sell anymore. All of the features of the plugin are already in 4.0 XPress.
At this point there's no way to encode 5.1 Dolby Digital audio with 4.0 XPress.
I've been encoding my DVD collection to WMV for streaming in my house. I've got no complaints or problems with using WMA 10 Professional for the audio portion. I've been using the following settings for audio:
Audio codec - Windows Media Audio 10 Professional
Audio encoding type - 2 pass VBR (average/peak bitrate)
Audio format - 384kbps, 48kHz, 5.1 Channel 24 bit VBR
Peak bitrate: 768kb/s
Maximum buffer duration - 4000ms
I've been doing all kinds of movies, everything from action to musicals. You can also use 9.2 if you want to go lossless, but you'll increase the file size quite a bit. My opinion it's not really worth the file size. Sounds just as good with the above settings.
On my PC the Cloud1 and Cloud2 menutemplate are 100 % identical altough the tumbnails of them are different. I need the Cloud2 but ist identiacl to Cloud 1 So can someone mail me the cloud2 template?
In cloud 1 the buttons-title are listed vertical and horizental, als the thmumbnail of cloud2 only shows vertical (text) which means i can get more titles on one page.
What I am saying is that not all the menu pages in Cloud2 are vertical text links. The top menus in both Cloud 1 and Cloud 2 are exactly the same. Only the track menus are different.
Does anyone know how I can work with Adobe Premiere CS4 with videos in Full HD (1920x1080 60i Sony EX-3 recorder) and encoding TMPGEnc Xpress 4.0 for master videos or Bluray. XDCAM codec MP4 videos? Frame server does not work anymore!
Is there another way to do this? How can I make a backup of my videos edited with Premiere CS4 using TMPGEnc Xpress? I really like TMPGEnc! He is the best encoder there!

I use Adobe Premiere from 4.2 in 1997, Premiere is definitely very bad to work with the Adobe Media Encoder! He is very slow and the quality of video encoding I do not like! The TMPGEnc is the best! The Pegasys could produce a frame server to Vegas and Premiere?
TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress Version 4.7.3.292 and TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress Version 4.7.1.284 installed on Windows 7 - 64-bit when open the application it gives error! I uninstalled Quicktime and installed the TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress Version 4.7.1.284 and is now 100% work without problem sync audio.
It's as simple as that. Why do I need to use another program to delete subs from mkv and/or avis? ConvertXtoDVD can do it, but I like to work in TMPGE and I don't want to buy another program for this.
I just want to import my video, select the subtitle and delete it to add my own.
I disagree; AMD/ATI is a minor player in the worldwide market. I'm not arguing whether AMD/ATI is better or worse, just that Pegasys should first complete full support for CUDA 3.0 with current Nvidia drivers. Then make a version supporting MacOS-X & CUDA, since Macs are Nvidia/CUDA-only with no ATI suport.
Once CUDA is implemented correctly in TMPGEnc4, with MacOS platform, then begin adding other less popular. Just my opinion to Pegasys; get CUDA working perfectly first, since it works on both Windows & MacOS. Don't try to do two implementations (CUDA & ATI Stream) and have them only half working. For ATI users out there, I'm sure there'll be support for ATI Stream technology when the number of users needing that begins to reach higher levels.
There's nothing stopping them from working on both at the same time. They can continue to improve CUDA support, while working on adding ATI Stream. The current HD 5x00 line of cards is vastly superior to nVIDIA's current offering, and this is starting to show as of Q3 2009, when nVIDIA's market share dropped 4.3% in just one quarter. With more HD 5x00 products available throughout the entire fourth quarter of '09, I'm sure the results from the final quarter will be even more dramatic.
When I burn the output file to disk. It does NOT auto-play on my computer and I put a dvd into my home player and it rejected it. What I am doing Wrong. Help.
The file outputted by 4.0 XPress is just DVD-compliant, and simply burning it to disc will not make it a DVD. DVD's require a specific file/directory structure. A burning program like Nero or TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4 will allow you to burn a DVD in the proper DVD-Video format.
I recently upgraded my laptop from Vista to Windows 7 and have to convert (via right click) the new Windows Media Center .wtv files to the old .dvr-ms format. TAW4 reads the resulting files, but the processing time for a 100 minute video is now over 2 hours. Before the upgrade, using the native dvr-ms files, TAW4 would go through a 100-minute video in 10-20 minutes. I have done this with about half-a-dozen converted wtv files, all with the same results. TAW4 is working normally with other file fomats, i.e. mpg and avi. Thanks for whatever help you can provide.
Here's the answer to my problem: my Hauppauge HVR-950 was not configured correctly for Windows 7. I had installed the standalone driver file, emp_voydrv_26322_27230.zip, but this was not sufficient. It was not until I installed the WinTV driver and WinTV v6 application update cd_4.8a.zip that the device started recording correctly. Both of these files can be found at the Hauppauge support page for this product: http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/support_hvr950.html
Now TAW4 processes the converted dvr-ms files just fine.
Hi,
I'm using TMPG Express 4 for encoding movies to DivX-format for playing them on XBMC on my xbox. I just found out that the audio is scrambled (stuttering) when played.
Are there any settings that I can change to make the audio compatible with my XBMC?
