Yes and no. Yes it will do it. No it won't do it correctly.

You need AVIsynth for this.

Question - TE25 - Movies are not moving smooth No.31955
Lanshof  2002-12-15 21:23:11 ( ID:5gm85bucvtc )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I converted DIVX movies to two VCD discs. When making the MPEG files for VCD I use Visualdub for the sound. I use the template for PAL VCD that comes with TMPG, but when I playback the movie it does not move smooth. It looks good, but when you get a scrolling picture (like arial view) you see that after maybe 1 or 2 seconds the moving stops for a very short period. First I thought I have to burn the VCD (with Nero) on lower speeds, so I burned one movie at 1x. Still no better movement.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Kind regards,

Lanshof

Sounds like you have encoded it to a Different Frame rate than the source file..Your Mpeg file has to have the same frame rate as the source AVI file...

Question - TE25 - m2v to dvd - all the way! No.31950
incisions  Home )  2002-12-15 20:23:19 ( ID:uovryvujdef )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi!

Im kinda a newbie here and i hope some of you guys can help me..
I normally use Pinnacle's Fast Silver editing tool.. but id like to try to make a dvd for a change.. I can output a M2V file from my Fast Studio software.. i also get two .wav's with left/right audio channels..
How do i get from here to having a DVD file that i can burn?!

When i use the Wizard it says that M2V isn't supportet.. could this be true?

I really hope someone can help me!

Regards,

Rasmus, Denmark

ps:
I need PAL by the way :)

You need DVD authoring software not TMPG.

But dont i have to convert my M2V file?!
What Authoring software would you recommend?

Regards,

incisions

ASHY  2002-12-15 22:18:29 ( ID:4adzcnohuc. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

An m2v file is an MPEG2 stream without audio. As long as it is in the correct format, such as framesize and framerate and GOP size you may be able import it directly into DVD authoring software.

He can also use IFOEdit, to create a DVD-Titleset from .mpv/.mpa.
This can be burned by Nero.

Question - TE25 - underflow error of corrupted vob No.31947
jetty  2002-12-15 19:40:16 ( ID:cai47j4msd6 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Still trying to find out why some DVD's vobs cause buffer underflow.
Dr. M reports following about the vob, which multipelxing with Tmpgenc results 200.000 s packets buffer underflow:
Can anyone tell the meaning of it? (below)
Looks like there is only bitrate changed compared to old ... but what is old? "Old" must be something inside vob as there is no ifo or other files.

Examination for W:ess_1_5.vob (Extract only as it's a repeative error)

help
ive just used the programme to convert a divx file to a mpeg however once it was done there was a few seconds of sound but then it stopped and there was no sound throughout the rest. whats wrong????????

TMPGEnc fan  2002-12-16 05:22:44 ( ID:9xlys/bhqzn )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Extract the sound into .wav file with VirtualDub, make sure that your newly created .wav file has sound (ie, doesn't suddenly disappear) and try again by selecting it as source audio.

darren  2002-12-18 01:40:04 ( ID:zsvsj8s7lrk )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

thankyou for that, however how do i extract it to the .wav file cannot see how to do it?????

>it doesn't work. i can' t put 2 in "directshow". i just can take higher priority, and it became "0".

You have to click 'higher' for each time you want to raise the priority higher. You can't just put a '2' in as the value.

Question - TE25 - when conveting *.avi to *.mpeg i have no sound No.31933
Millsy  2002-12-15 14:45:14 ( ID:cgx3nbhwwxm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I download loads of films using Kazaa. I wanted to put these in VCD or SVCD format so as to free up my Hard Drive. When I use TMPG Enc I am using the same source *.avi file for both video and audio. I get great quality video encoded in bout 4hrs but there's no sound. Do I need to extract the sound from the *.avi file first and when I choose my source video and audio file make the *.avi file the video source and the *.? file the audio source.

fuji  2002-12-15 19:27:09 ( ID:patnb183lmc )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

same problem can you help me if you find out first.I'll do the same

yamyam  2002-12-15 22:12:27 ( ID:ujv2ebjxawc )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Quite a few of the divx films on kazaa have mp3 variable bitrate audio.
TMPGenc only supports constant bitrate try using virtualdub to extract the audio to a pcm uncompressed wave file then select the wave file in tmpgenc.

Did you compare CCE against their new GOP structure and new Quantization Matrix? This was just released less than a week ago!!

Question - TE25 - Error: Can't Load "P3Package.dll" No.31931
Sig Rannem  2002-12-15 14:25:39 ( ID:mgs/o236r8g )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I just downloaded TMPGEnc v2.59 and unzipped the file. First question: why is there no install/setup file? I then tried running TMPGEnc.exe. It runs, but after specifying my input and output files and trying to proceed, I got the following error message: Can't load "P3Package.dll"

Can anyone help? Greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sig

minion  2002-12-15 21:26:20 ( ID:w8yn5mktf8w )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

TMPGENC Is a Standalone application so there is In Installer..But you have to extract ALL of the Files in the Zip File in the same folder..You odviously don"t have them in the same folder or you wouldn"t be getting the P3P Package error...

Are they divx avis with vbr mp3 audio ? I had same problem and if you open avi in Virtualdub then extract audio to wav, then use that as audio source in encoder it should be ok . To check, go into Source range, then tick Display Audio and yuo should see audio waveform.
ps. you could also use virtualdub to frameserve to encoder.

TMPGEnc fan  2002-12-16 04:55:35 ( ID:9xlys/bhqzn )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

No sound is not only caused by mp3 VBR by AC# sound, too.
Open your file in VirtualDub, go to file menue. Through that access the file information and see the sampling rate. If it tells you 48000, then you have to go to audio menu, select full processing mode (this one you have to do no matter what), then audio/conversion, change sampling rate to 44100, precision to 16 bit.
You will get a decent output which will be supported by TMPGEnc.

TMPGEnc fan  2002-12-16 05:00:57 ( ID:9xlys/bhqzn )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I mean, AC3 sound, of course, sorry for the typo.

TMPGEnc fan  2002-12-16 05:07:30 ( ID:9xlys/bhqzn )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Are you using DIVXG400?
To maka it easier for you to understand, let me ask you this:
Once you run a video file, do you see a small "monitor" icon appearing in the tray menu on the bottom right side of your screen?
if yes, double click on it.
There you will see something called "Force vertical flip".
Play with the options - you totally have 4 choices - until your video file goes back to normal.
Note, if you do have the mentioned above program, you don't have to worry, there is nothing wrong with your file, meaning that if you burn it ass a VCD, then your stand-alone player will accept it with no flipping.
