Hi, i'm tyring to use TMPGEnc xpress 4.0 to convert my AVCHD files (.mts)
I've read numerous places that the Codecs installed by power dvd 7 trail enable TMPGEnc to view these files and transcode them. Unfortunately i'm only able to hear audio and no video. Any guidance on configuring TMPGEnc to work properly with AVCHD files (.mts) would be great.
for avc or vc1 files download the free program called tsmuxer and convert the file to m2ts. That converted file will then be able to be imported to Tmpgenc
Hi there.
When I import a DVD-RW finalised in VR mode into TDA to reauthor (recorded in pioneer DVD recorder) TDA reads all the title information, name, duration, chapters etc.. which is excellent.
But as TDA is already reading this information is it possible to get TDA to automatically read the title name from the imported DVD and set it as the name of the track to be reauthored in TDA???
this would cut done the need to copy/paste the names of all the titles into the tracks names..
cheers

Is it possible to edit DivX encoded files just to cut out sections & then splice it back and save it into a new file without having to transcode the entire file again?
Will Author 3.0 (or TMPG XP) do this??? Current version of Author says it uses "smart encoding"... "Perform precise frame cut-edits with Smart Rendering"

I just find the japanese edition ownes very much templates, and they are very pretty. I just wonder if they can be applied in english edition. If not, how they can work?
I would like to know the answer to this also... and if they do work, can someone hook me up with the Japanese templates? I typically make one English and one Japanese DVD, so this could be really useful for me.
i have version 4.4.1.237 of tmpg. when the app starts, i get error message-pthreadGC2.dll not found, try re-install. after re-install, the problem remains. where can i find this dll?
When using the Chaptering Tool and using the automatic methods chapters are not given unique names. This causes DivX Player 6.7.0 to fail to use the chapters in the final video properly. All chapters will have the name w or display some other Unicode character. Selecting those chapters returns the DivX video to the first frame in the video no matter what chapter is selected.
My request is that either by default or by using an option; there be a way to automatically name the chapters when using the chaptering tool. I think it would be preferred that the chapters have a sequential naming convention such as 1,2,3... or even have an option for more advanced auto naming abilities.
The divx engine in tmpgenc dvd author 3 with divx authoring is rather old.
That is to say: divxenc.ax, divxdec.ax, divxmux.ax should be updated. The corresponding files in Corel DVD Copy 6 pro are much newer than in TDA3.
I use the chaptering tool to automatically generate chapters. The problem is that if I don't manually do through and name each chapter after they are automatically created, the chaptering doesn't work in the final video file.
I will get some Chinese character as the chapter names (same character for every chapter) and selecting a chapter returns to the beginning of the video when using DIVX's official player ver. 6.7.0.
How do I fix this and what am I doing wrong?
If there is no fix, is there a way to automatically generate chapter numbers/names so I don't have to manually name each chapter?

when I try to modify the menu configuration, the font selection could not show the Chinese font name(for example:Song , only show ???.
