TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress BBS [ Sorted by thread creation date ]
When I import a batch of different video files I would like TMPGENC to take
1. the videoframerate (eg. 25 fps),
2. the videodimensions (eg. 800x600),
3. the audio frequency (eg. 48khz) and
4. the audiobitrate (eg. 128 Kbps)
from each individual source file and leave it as is (same way Mediacoder works). This way these are left unchanged.
please someone help me.
i changed my resolution 800x600 for up 1200 and now
turn back 800x600 and desaper, the buton encode.
tmpge window is so big, no resizable. no work. pluease help me
------------------------
800x600 is too small. The software requirements states that it needs at least 1024x768 resolution.
You have to increase your monitor's resolution or get a better monitor.
I have used TMPGEnc 2.5 for years for my MPEG-2 encoding for DVD, and it works great. But I want to move up to TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress.
I have been testing the trial version of TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress, but there is an important setting I can't find that is in TMPGEnc 2.5.
The setting ''Output YUV data as basic YCbCr, not CCIR601''. This is on the Quantize matrix page in TMPGEnc 2.5.
How do I enable this in TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress? It is required for the frameserving I do from Vegas Pro 9 to TMPGEnc for the proper contrast range and colors to be used, based on Vegas' RGB Studio space (16-235) that it uses and that it sends to TMPGEnc.
This has worked for years with TMPGEnc 2.5, so I can't imagine it would have been removed in 4.0.
ok they do support windows 7, but don't support cracked versions and yes i know to well you are running a cracked version because its the release groups patch that is causing the software to not work when you load after install and comes up with errors such as runtime error
I'm encoding 23.976P avi (1920x1080) source to MPEG2 for bluray. After encoding the audio and video duration is not the same anymore. Video duration is always a few frames shorter than it's audio. What is the problem with TMPGEnc 4?
No matter what I set the priority to, my CPU never shows more than a 75% (total, across all cores) load. Not only that, the CPU speed varies between 800mHz, 1400mHz, 1900mHz, and 2600mHz (according to PC Wizard, from CPUID.com). These correspond (roughly - I think the 1900 is supposed to be 2000, but whatever) to the power-saving states of my CPU.
I've tried changing the task priority under Options, but it doesn't seem to have an effect (I know that option worked when I ran Windows XP, but that was also a different processor).
Has anyone else experienced something like this? I'd like the encoder to be nice while I'm multitasking, but if I'm not using the computer, I'd like it to run at 100% to finish faster.
It's not a help, but I have the same problem. CPU usage is max on 60%. It seems that the application is not optimized for multithread (dual, or 4-core) operation. It would be of great interest if a moderator could comment on this and advise if there are any new versions in the near future which solves this.
I'm running on a HP xw8000 dual Intel Xeon processor 2.8 GHz, 512 KB cache, 533 MHz front side bus with SCSI RAID 2x 15000rpm HDD.
Has any1 had any success with making a AVCHD or bluray disk using tmpgenc4 with spurs engine using H.264/AVC ??? i have had no luck. I tried making AVCHD disks many times but had no luck.. however using premier pro & using the main concept H.264/AVC output it made AVCHD disks fine. And i'm using the same settings for both. I'm getting a bluray burner soon so hopefully i will find a way to use the spurs h.264/avc output to create a compatible bluray H.264/AVC file/disk.
if any1 has successfully created a bluray or AVCHD compatable file/disk using the spurs engine output. please tell me how you did it and what your settings were.
Motion looks "ghosty", ie. subjects moving in front of re-coded video are not as clear as on Sony AVCHD player (or Splash Player) playing .MTS files directly. Instead they leave appear with trails.
I've noticed that changing the level makes some difference (slightly better with level 3.1 than 4.1).
My guess is that the ghosting has to do with your framerate or deinterlace settings.
Currently, you're doubling the framerate to 100fps and then outputting as 25fps. I think you should only double framerate if you're actually going to output at the higher framerate (i.e. doubling 30fps to 60fps and outputting in 60fps).
Have you tried "Deinterlace always" (without double framerate) with an interpolation method?
I've tried changing the field order as my first guess. I have tried the default deinterlace always with one method of interpolation. That didn't seem to work either. Slightly concerned about the fact that interpolation will degrade the quality of picture.
I think that it seems like I was getting the framerate wrong. Indeed, I'm doubling the framerate. What the recommended clip input settings would be for 50i mode (I assume that means my videos are 50 frames/second interlaced)?
INPUT:
Clip properties:
Display Mode: Interlace.
Field Order: "upper" field first ( HD is upper fields 'NOT' lower )
Aspect Ratio: Pixel 1:1 (square)
Framerate: 25 fps ( it is 50 fields per second - but the frame rate is 25 )
Filter properties:
Deinterlace when neccessary
OUTPUT:
MPEG-4 AVC (1280 x 720) 25 fps
Level: 4.1 ( 3.1 is for SD resolutions )
1 Pass Constant Bitrate 17500kb/s
Motion Search Range: 256
Detect Scene Change: On
GOP Length: 33 frames
Entropy Coding Mode: CABAC
Motion Estimation: Quarter
I have a Canon DV camcoder which records in a 720X480 widescreen format. The native ratio after capture is (1.5). When I Add the clips to the express 4, it automatically sets the aspect ratio of each clip to 4:3, and to get the correct aspect I have to manually set it to pixel 40:33. Everything from there encodes great, but since I like to capture with scene detect and have a tape split into multiple clips, when I convert for projects, I may have to manually adjust the aspect ratio for a hundred clips as each one to the project. Is there a way to automate setting the aspect ratio for all the clips at once?
I think you're gonna have to change the aspect ratio one by one.
I was thinking you might be able to do it through your output format settings, but that will only add black bars to the sides if the clip properties are still set to 4:3.
Thanx for your input "tkrave". It will be nice if they add it to TMPG Enc 4,0 Express. My sattelite reciver is recording in TS files on the harddrive inside the reciver. I want to convert them into *.MKV, and store it in my TVIX multimedia player.
