Reading files into a new project at the source stage, those files encoded with TMPGEnc 4 into MP4 in either ISO or AVC have problems.
If the file is AVC, TMPGenc just sees color mass where video should exist.
If the file is ISO, TMPGEnc reports 30fps for a 24fps movie, and only have of the frames change. Every other frame is a duplicate.
When I capture movies from TV using Windows Media Center, some of the movies can be converted OK using TMPGEnc 4.0; however, movies I capture from AMC network will only convert the first few seconds, then stop. The movies play OK using Media Center, but will not play with any other software. How can I back up these movies?
i have downloaded k-lite codec to convert mkv file
but it seems tmpgenc can't decode the sound
when previewing, only get some terrible sound.
any solutions?
thanks
Ive also noticed with the last working version ot xpress ie 4.4.1.237 that with vbr mp3 the audio is simple un hearable it soudns liek a screach, i corrected this issue by using nandub to extract the mp3 into wav and then load the audio into the video file when in xpress and that worked.
After I convert any uncompressed avi to a mpeg. I get a bad line on the very bottom of the video, like static but only one line. And I've tried different videos to make sure it wasn't the source. Is there a setting I'm missing?
If some one can help me out that would be great, I need to get this video out.
the line is caused by changing the setting from interlaced to progressive. But my source files are not interlaced and/or do not use fields.
If I use interlace my video quality seems to get worse.
Hi, i'm tyring to use TMPGEnc xpress 4.0 to convert my AVCHD files (.mts)
I've read numerous places that the Codecs installed by power dvd 7 trail enable TMPGEnc to view these files and transcode them. Unfortunately i'm only able to hear audio and no video. Any guidance on configuring TMPGEnc to work properly with AVCHD files (.mts) would be great.
for avc or vc1 files download the free program called tsmuxer and convert the file to m2ts. That converted file will then be able to be imported to Tmpgenc
Is it possible to edit DivX encoded files just to cut out sections & then splice it back and save it into a new file without having to transcode the entire file again?
Will Author 3.0 or TMPG XP do this??? Current version of Author says it uses "smart encoding"... "Perform precise frame cut-edits with Smart Rendering"
i have version 4.4.1.237 of tmpg. when the app starts, i get error message-pthreadGC2.dll not found, try re-install. after re-install, the problem remains. where can i find this dll?
yeah seems the lab rats at tmpgenc didnt actually do any checkign before releasing this verison becuase as you can tell it was shafted as soon as you try anything.
We are using 4.0 to encode our videos to HD wmv videos for web. We start with a .mov file created in Final Cut Pro on a Mac and after the video is encoded it ends up being noticably lighter than the original footage. Is there any reason that this is occuring that I am missing?
I have this feeling you viewed the end item via quicktime, if so DONT as for some stupid reason it lightens any video, try viewing it via vlc player or medeia classic player etc.
I've just upgraded to TE40 and am really missing the TE25 Sharpen Edge Filter.
Why has this been dropped, is it available as an add-on, or when will it be available? Neither of TE40's sharpen filters come any where near to being as useful as TE25's Sharpen Edge.
try looking at the contour filter, its basically yhr same thing, plus there are other filters hidden just press the add button which will bring up another window for the filters
I have a Canon HG10 which uses AVCHD encoding. I can load the clip but TMPENC crashes (ie application disappears) when I go from "Source" and click the "Format" button.
I am a NewTek SpeedEdit user. NewTek has an AVI wrapper that works with your TMPGEnc 2.5 version. I am interested in buying the 4.0 version but want to be able to run the 2.5 version also. Does a single license for 4.0 cover 2.5 as well?
