You can convert Ati vcr -files to mp2-files adding them (drag and drop) to Ati Library, right-clicking it, and choosing conversion.
Unfortunately, all vcr-files won't be added to Library, at least for me...
Mp2- (also known as m2v-) files can be edited or converted to desired format (for example) by FlasKMPEG.
Quite often when encoding Xvid to MPEG2 ... TMPGENc Xpress dies (application closes) with no errors ? This happens intermittently, sometimes the encode completes and sometimes the application dies (encoding the same file). I can't find anything relevant in the WinXP Event viewer.
Anyone know what could cause this ?
I am trying to figure out how to put 3 movies onto 1 DVD+R using the XDVD feature in TMPGEnc Express. Has anyone used this yet? If so, how is the image quality, and do you know if it would be compatable with my Sony DVP-NS575P Precision Drive 3 DVD player? It claims that you can put 10 hours of video on 1 DVD. I would like to put all 3 lord of the rings movies together. Thanks!!!
Ive got some films i want to put on dvd mnv & avi so as i can burn them on nero and the play them on my dvd player is this the correct softwear to use to enable me to do this????????????????
I want to record my vh tape to my hard drive and make it into a dvd movie. Is this a rigth program and if so can add couple steps how to Newby sorry . thanks 4 your time !!!!!
To convert from VHS to DVD you have to have a video capture card installed in your system in order to capture de VHS video to digital, once in the HD the video can be converted to any video format supported by TMPGEnc, I use the FLYVIDEO 2000 capture card and, as a suggestion you should capture the video in AVI format, the files will use a lot of HD space but the quality will be the best.

Why in some part of the movie, not all, the audio gets desynchronized and after this point the audio goes desynchronized until the end of the movie. I get this With Predator 2.
My source is an MPEG2 Video with an MPEG1 Layer 2 audio track which I was trying to re-encode to change video size and audio bit/sampling frequencies. After about 20000 frames there is a noticeable lag in the audio which gets progressively worse
I have found that by first de-multiplexing the audio and video then encoding from these two files fixed the problem. Unfortunately this also significantly increases the encoding time.
No idea why this happens though. I only stumbled across the fix by trial and error - but still very annoying!
I'm using TMPGenc Express 3.0
Ok, the setting in one version of TMPGenc was
"Output video and audio as individual elementary streams."
I've got TMPGenc express 3.0. After encoding only one output file comes out, not seperate audio and video file. I would like to author with IFOEdit and when I select video source theres no problem, but for the audio source, theres no seperate file. The audio was MP3 so I shouldn't have to extract it. The settings on Express 3.0 are a little different, can anybody tell me what the equivilent of "Output video and audio as individual elementary streams" is in the 3.0 vers that would give me two seperate output files?
