I would find it useful if TMPG Enc had the ability to rotate the encoded video. For example, I held my camera on it's side when recording my video. However, I obviously don't want to have to tilt my head to watch the video, I'd rather rotate the video so it's in the correct orientation.
This feature should include the ability to rotate 90deg/180deg clockwise and counter clockwise.
I downloaded the trial version of TMPGEnc and trying to convert several files from AVI to MPEG-1. I consistently get "Can not read video." error on two of these files (encoded with DIVXMPG4 V3 codec, at 25 frames/sec, 83kbps in PAL (352x288) standard) and the conversion stops. The AVI files play without problem with Media Player. Any ideas why I would be getting the error and how can I prevent it? Thanks in advance!
I tried VirtualDub, and it crashes while checking the file for errors (possibly in the same place as RMPGEnc). Unfortunately, since DIVX4 is not officially supported by VirtualDub, I cannot ask the author for help. Any other ideas, or tools that I could use to find what the problem is? Thanks for a prompt reply!
nope, if VD crashes then VD is telling the truth, the file you have is corrupted! trust me. I am 90% sure because DIVX 4 is fully supported by VD, otherwise how in the world, was DIVX 4 "successful"? People use VD to convert to DIVX any version 95% of the time!
Oh and by the way DiVx is supported in Virtualdub. The original version 3.11 wasn't as it was an illegal Mpeg4 hack. But DiVx is now a project on it's own utilising it's own code and is therefore legal.
Is there some magic incantation to get an MPEG2 file created by Tmpgenc to work with DVD2.5.2??? I cannot get it to read any of the imported files - the error which DVDit gives me is "could not find a suitable decoder" .... the mpeg2 file works just fine if I play it with Microsoft Mediaplayer.
I am converting DV/AVI files to MPEG2 using Tmpgenc. I've tried it with and without an Audio track. I'm using all of the default settings in Tmpgenc, with the execption being that I'm changing the bitrate to 5mbs.
Is there some setting which i need to make which will automatically get things working.
I have the same problem with my PC. I have Sony, P4, 1.8Ghz, Windows XP, DVDit! 2.5 Ligos, etc.
I have tried all to me known options with TMPGenc, (decr. the stram, changing the GOP header lines, etc) but without any success.
In thepast I had no problem with TMPGenc and DVDit!. I have recently done the Windows XP update regarding the mpeg2 encoder as an official upgrade. I am wondering whetrer that caused problem.
Hi
I used studio 7 SE to capture video to avi files, after cupturing I can view it with Media player but when I open tmpgenc and trie to open my avi file i just capture then I have and error 'can not open AVI, or format not supported' some one know what happens.
I tried the enviromental settings and it still isn't working.I downloaded an .avi file and it gives me that same error message. So what can I do to convert this file so it will work with this program?
Actually I just discovered that any encoding with Version 2.53 produces a slightly brighter video....it's hard to see but if you did a 2nd or 3rd
encode on the previous, you'd see a much brighter video.
Im getting the same error message with all of my avi. movie files. It keeps sayin "cano not create" am i doing something wrong is there way to fix this??
I just downloaded this program and when i tried to convert avi to mpg it said error: single disc mpg. can not be created. What does this mean and how do I fix it?? please help me!!!
I am trying to convert an avi file to MPEG 2...The file is 205,000,000kb and after conversion it is 710,000,000kb so I know it has done something...I get sound fine but I do not get picture...I have tried MPEG-1 as well as MPEG-2 settings and neither one will show picture after conversion....Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? I have the trial version and do not know if I want to purchase the whole program as I cannot seem to get it to work.....
I've used the latest TMPG ENc for the first time and it did work good for me, but when I wanted to cut the mpeg into 2 because it was too long to fit on the cd it came up with this error message even though it still worked.
At address 73F91D04, Read error occurred against address 73F91D04
Can anyone tell me what happened or what this error message means.
I have the same problem on two different systems. Both Athlongs/512 mb PC2100 ram and WinXP Pro. I have used older version which worked fine and decided to upgrade to 2.52. I tried cutting large and small clips, moving into the middle of the video file to cut. I also tried various clips and aspect ratios always with the same address read error. The previous post mentions the operation working despite the error, I however have not been that lucky.
Please, anyone have a clue about what could cause this problem?
I am doing a test...why does repeated encoding of a file...say 1.avi to 1.mpg...then encode 1.mpg to 2.mpg...then encode 2.mpg to 3,mpg and so on...cause the video to lighten up? I have checked the advanced settings and none are active...Thanks
