Looks like Hori has started to impliment higher Security measures about time. Maybe the internet connection request some one posted in the bbs is trying to authenticate your serial number if its invalid known to be a pirated serial it will probably set it back to trial mode. This is a tactic used by Clone CD another awsome program.
We all need to purchase TMPGenc Plus after all he has put alot of time into making this a awsome product and deserves rewards for his efforts. Tell me this where else can you find another product like this and then as good as this one. The $48 Dollars really isnt much its damn cheap if you ask me.
TMPGenc Rules.
When I saw the price was ONLY $48 USD, I purchased, because this is a fantastic price for an extremely useful and feature-filled MPEG-2 utility. I was willing to pay more, and definitely will, when TMPGEnc v3.0 and/or TMPGEnc Server are released.
I am trying to convert a file that is divx 5 code to vcd (pal)but although the audio is ok there is no video in the output file. I am a real novice with these programs but have successfully converted other files & would like some advice as to what I should do to complete this operation. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Help! I want to encode a movie with 30 fps interlace (60 field) but it is difficult to do so because the option in tmpgenc now is not fully support 60fps movies. I need to use a macro program to set deinterlace (even field for a fields and odd field for b fields) This takes up about 30 minutes to set a one minute movie.
I don"t know if this is what you are looking for but there is a de-interlace filter in tmpgenc were you can set even or odd or double fileds and more, it is in the "advanced settings" just double click on the deinterlace filter..
I use Inverse Telecine to convert a 30fps interlace movie to 60fps. I can't find a Setting Method in Auto-Setting to do such deinterlace setting automatically.
I need to select "Even field (animation adaptation)" for ?a field and select "Odd field (animation adaptation)" for ?b field frame-by-frame manually.
Is it possible to add a option to do such selection?
Not that I know of, why do the fields change from frame to frame, usually a file has the same fields all the way through the file but I have never encoded to 60fps...
Some days ago I had a question about bad sound after converting AVI with good sound into MPEG2 with TMPGenc with bad sound (hight tones.
Know I found out that the make movie (studio se) makes by default standard DV Movie with 48 kHz sound (name encoder: DV video encoder)
It is not posible to change the sound into 44.1 KHz.
This is possible when I take an other encoder.
After converting that file with 44.1 the sound stays ok.
Because I am a rookie in this I have a question about this.
With is the best encoder I can use then.
Indeo video 5.04
Cinepack Codec Radius
I want the best video result for making SVCD MPEG2 files.
Or maybe someone has a Pinnacle Studio SE encoder download with sound 44.1 Khz and good movie quality.
There are exelent sample rate converters that work with tmpgenc the one I use is "ssrc" you can find it on the google search engine, or if you are looking for a good audio encoder, the one I use is "db power amp" it is free and has a whole bunch of codecs and it has exelent quality and you can encode your audio files to svcd compatible mp2 files with it, you can download it ad "www.dbpoweramp.com or on downloads.com....
You don't understand what I mean, this is the step before I use TMPenc.
I cature with studio SE edit the file. Then I have to save into AVI.
To save AVI I must use one encoder mentioned above.
After that I use TMPGenc and convert into MPG2 and maybe I will use ssrc.
But first I have to know witch encoder I have to use with Studio SE.
Because direkt convert into MPG2 with Studio gives bad results.
Thats why I use TMPGenc.
Convertsave into AVI with default encoder (DV encoder) gives bad sound with tmpenc.
So I have to know.
Witch is the best encoder I must use with studio se before convert with TMPGenc. Both encoders give good sound with tmpenc (44.1) but I do not know how good the video results are.
Those Codecs are fairly old but they are fairly good, have you tried the "huffyuv" it is one of the best lossless avi codecs I have used, if you do not have it you can easily get it , I think they have it in the tools section at "vcdhelp.com", maybe give it a try ,I think it is better than cinepac or indio, cuz I have tried them both.
Ok heres the deal, after 3 streneous formats, still NO luck.
I take any DVD, rip it, DVD2AVI, then encode useing TMPGEnc, and before me I have a perfect and working MPEG file of the movie I ripped, good right?! WRONG! I will attempt to cut this file using TMPG's wonderful cutter, what happens? it just stops cutting somewhere in, for example, i will ask it to cut start to finish, and it will stop cutting anywhere from 1.3 second to 3000 seconds to 5600 seconds, (iow: Random!)... Demultiplex and use BBMPEG you say? CANT DO IT! It just stops demultiplexiing where it stops in the cutting! So im left with NO cutting tool to use! I dont know of a single easy MPEG-2 cutting tool thats free for me to use, TMPG is not working! and heres the most fusterating part! I have ripped many a movie in the past, why now? Why ever? HELP ME WORLD HELP ME KIND PEOPLE! THIS IS MADDENING!
What I do that won"t help this time but I make my d2v files in parts so I don"t have to edit the mpeg, or you can use the source range and encode in parts, but if you go to kazaa there are a bunch of editing programs there for download, I use the mpeg editor in "power vcr" or m2-edit pro.....
Is anybody having problems getting their serial number to work in the new version.
It says on the site to just run it. This has worked for the other versions, but not this one. It won't even accept the serial as valid when I put it in manually.
It also says the trial is up too and i've only just downloaded the bloody thing. What gives?
That is exactly the problem I am haveing, it says that the trial is over right after I downloaded it, and it will not accept the registration number,I posted this problem before but I didn"t get any answers that were helpfull(just lip)..If you find a solution please post it, and if I figure it out I will post it ....Thanx
I do not really understand your problem well..., but so far as I know :
"TMPGEnc" is free, but it has only 30day-limited MPEG-2 encoding feature, and it is not possible to buy or register this version.
"TMPGEnc Plus" is free to try for 14days. People can buy and register this version.
I have purchased TMPGEnc Plus when it was 2.53, and now I am using 2.55 without problem.
That is what we were talking about the "Plus" version, but I finally got it working but don"t know why, it just did after several attempts but I was copy and pasting it in and it wouldn"t accept it but I just typed it in and it worked..
The only thing I know is that if you copy & past the serial number, sometime there is a space (which we do not realize) right after the last digits, then
the serial number is not accepted. This is what I found from my experence, although I am not sure if this helps or not.
Tried typing the serial in, but to no avail. I don't know what's goin' on. Maybe I've got a dodgy serial, but I can't understand why it works for the other versions.
Just loaded up version 2.55 and for _some_ reason, it tried to hit the internet. Zonealarm firewall caught it trying to go out, and it also wanted permission to act as a server. What possible reason could this program have for acting as a server to the internet? Especially with no warning or dialog box asking for permission other than my firewall catching it. Hmmmmmmmm......
It all depends on the authorizing software you use, some are totally simple and some are totally confuseing,Nero seems to be the easiest to use for dvd authoring, download it and give it a try....

Thanks for answer. But Nero wants VOB etc files. How do I get these from the Mpeg file. Sorry but I am just starting at this.
i have the newest version of tmpgenc,i converted divx->mpg,and the mpg output has no sound in it....i noticed everytime i was converting,i got an error message right when the video was over(at the credits),and i guess from there,it didn't rip the audio ?
plus....how would i make a .wav extracted from the .avi with virtualdub work with multiplexing in tmpgenc ?
i converted wav->mp3,and when trying to multiplex,it said illegal MPEG audiostream ???
You have to encode the extracted audio to mp2 not mp3 then multiplex it with your video, you can use tmpgenc to encode the audio or an audio encoder to encode it but most don"t encode to mp2 but "db poweramp" does and it is free...

I using cladDVD xp1.3 to rip the dvd and uded TMPG Enc 2.55 after completing the file there is no audio in mpg file. I using .wav format file which is produced by the claddvd xp I did earlier dvd they went fine. Please tell me if any particular problem with the TMPFEnc2.55
an avi file plays fine in media player but when i convert with tmpgenc the video frames are inverted. Sound is ok though. i've been using this prog for a long time and never seen this before. is it a setting i can change?
I used the TMPGEnc 2.02.31.119 and I had very good compression when I converted AVI to SVCD... When the AVI file was 600MB the SVCD had about 700MB and I could burn it on 1 CD with good quality
Now I downloaded the new TMPEnc 2.55.38.142 and when I convert the same movie with the same setting like in the old version the movie is HUGE... about 4 times as big.
My question is now: How can I get the same compression with the new version?
