TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.5 & 1.6 / TSUNAMI MPEG DVD Author BBS [ Sorted by thread creation date ]
DVDs played on my Philips DVD763SA Standalone DVD player pause for approx 1/2 sec at each point where I have edited the source using Tmpgenc DVD author 1.5.11.37.
When I examined the authored files with Ifoedit, it indicated a 'Layer Break'
at the edit point - I understand this to indicate a discontinuity in the PTS
timecode. I then ran VOB Extras in Ifoedit, and selected Rebuild PTS. The resulting VOB file was then burned to DVD and the pause at the cut point
nolonger occurred. Is this a bug in Tmpgenc DVD Author?

I was trying to figure this problem out as well. The bug still occurs on version 1.5.15.49. This bug might never be fixed, but at least you came up with a remedy. I appreciate that very much!
I just made my 1st mpeg from a dvd with TmpgEnc Dvd Auther but it split it in 2 files due to its size. Is there a way I can make it come out all in one file? Any help would be appreciated.
I have several movie files that are at a reslution of 480 X 576. Tmpgenc dvd author will not work with these, saying they need to be 352X2888, 720X480, etc. I don't understand why this is, is it possible to explain ? Or is there any way around this without re-encoding the entire movie ?
The DVD-Standard only includes Half-, Full- and Broadcast-D1, not 2/3-D1 like on SVCDs.
Read some Guides here, in the TMPGEnc-Forum or on vcdhelp.com to put 2/3-D1-Video on DVD. But: Not all Players do play such Discs correctly.
It will be great if there was a scanning of the video content for scene change. If it could be done and automatically add chapters. Then we could go back and manually removed the undesired chapter.

SW: WinDVD
SW: Sonic Cineplayer
SW: Ahead Nero 10.[the current one]
HW: APEX500W
Result: A folder containing the Video/Audio_TS files which was playable on-screen with WinDVD and Cineplayer. HOWEVER-burning the VIDEO and Audio_TS folders to the DVD media, [WHICH HAVE BEEN USED REPEATEDLY and erased without issue], wins me a "DISC ERROR" message on the APEX500W.
I am using the Trial version 1.5.11.37 and cannot hear any audio in the edit window while editing .VRO files. The sound icon does not work either. The .VOR files were created on a Panasonic DMR-T3040 hard Disc Recorder and I believe the audio is Dolby AC3. Is Tmpgenc DVD Author incapable of this audio format? The files playback fine using PowerDVD. Anyone...please help....I need to hear the audio in the edit window!
Hello, when i am outputting the dvd it always freezes at 68%, no idea why and no error messages, the input video is taken from a captured mpg file

When I make a DVD I can navigate the menu system ie: I can click on a film on the title page, then browse the chapters. But when I click on a chapter to watch the DVD hangs my player. This is only with my Matsui dvd110 player on to my tv not software on my pc (my pc works with the DVD fine). If there a problem with this program and a Matsui dvd100 or do other people get it. Is there a fix?
I've noticed that there are only a handful of questions and comments being amde in this forum but there are also a handful that just aren;t even being acknowledged, including mine. Being as we, the potential customer, have taken the time to let our thoughts be heard, I think it is only fair that we get some type of response back. Thank you.
May be it has to do with holiday time !
I would have expected more coaching by the software makers. For myself, I really like this TDA. It has a great potential.
You have a greater chance of winning the national Lotto three times in succession than you do of receiving any form of reply from Pegasys on this forum - the objective being that users with experience help others who are having problems.
The lack of participation on this forum is an indication of the worldwide usage of TDA.
As a registered user you could send a request for support via Email but, don't hold your breath.
Is there a way to import audio for the menus? Also, while I'm here, are there plans for more menu templates in the near future? The ones available right now are very lacking. If both of these features are taken care of, you may have a winning application.
Any chance of this changing soon? I don't mind converting music to the appropriate format, but it should be possible to insert this in a menu without having to have motion menus...
Hi, Guys, I can not get DVD Author to recognize My DVD Burner, It is Just blank were it says "Recorder", But the Funny thing is When I go to the help File it has a screen shot of the DVD writeing Module and the Burner shown in the Picture is the same model as the one I own, a Sony DRU-500A, all my other Burning Programs Recognize it like Nero, But I can"t use Nero Cuz It has been giveing Me errors at the end of the Burn saying it can"t Close the Disk, But the Disks still work But I don"t want to Risk it...And when I point the Burning application to my Video_TS folder, it gives me a message saying there is No Video_TS Folder in this Folder...Ohh well I didn"t expect much From Tmpgenc DVD author anyways so I wasn"t dissapointed....Cheers
Pity about this. I have exactely the same burner. It worked plug and play with TDA. I have been using Nero up to now. As I said somewhere else, this TDA burning tool does not have the most professional look but it does its job perfectly as far as burning is concerned.
