I am still requesting the the feature to get a DVD burnt with SVCD/VCD standard videos on it (see request as "Bug report" >>> SVCD on DVD medium, filenames as menu chapter names by Tom, 10/29 (Fri) 05:16 <<<).
Further I am searching for a tool to make DVD menu for a "DATA DISC" / "DATA DVD" with DivX videos (avi, wmv, mpg,...) which is playable in a HiFi DVD Player (TVset).
The idea is to start the DVD with this menu for selecting the video file to get played on TV.
This could be another media option in "DVD Author":
[X] DivX DVD (leaving video files "as are" / burn as data files)
[X] DivX CD (leaving video files "as are" / burn as data files)
Guess you have MPEG-Audio? Maybe your DVD-Player does not like this.
On NTSC-DVDs MPEG-Audio is only alowed as additional Track, not as the only one. Most Players should work with MPEG-Audio, but some of them won't play it.
Hi,
I am using PAL system, I am using WMP or WINDVD on PC to play the disc, only the disc that I made does not have the sound,( The MPEG2 file can be played fine, only after DVD author, the VOB file has no sound )and I had no problem make VCD or SVCD by using TMPGenc and NERO.
Anything could be wrong? I am simply can not figure it out.
Everytime I try to use either a still capture from a video clip or an imported graphic as a menu thumbnail, it's always blurred. This seems to be at any size frame. Any ideas on how to correct this?
Try using a program that shows the nature of the frame it will capture, then
make the capture on an "I frame" and on a "P frame". For some reason I've had
better luck with "P frames".
Little help here - I cannot author DVDs anymore using DVD author. I get an error in resample.dll
I can author these files using the same version of this program on another computer, but I'd really like to use my fast main one for it. Anyone else seen errors in this file? I've uninstalled/reinstalled/gone back to older versions/etc - not sure what to do next....
I want to author in Tmpgenc DVD Author but burn with multiple burners with Nero 6 Burning Rom. Do I use DVD-Video or the DVD-ROM UDF/ISO? Is DVD-Author still creating noncompliant files. I have the most recent upgrade.
Answering my own question for the record: DVD-ROM UDF/ISO with force DVD-Video compatability. Using multiple burners is a nice Nero feature. Don't quite understand the compliance issue with DVD-Author.
Please help. What should I do if the error message GPO is too long? The TMPGEnc cannot convert the mpeg file again. If I ignore the error message, I cannot get the output :-(
if I burn a 16:9 movie with more than about 4 Gb but less than the disksize of 4,3 Gb. The disk is corrupted during the last 10 minutes or so. The 4:3 movies will work right. The vob* files in the temporary folder can also be played without error. Has anybody mode the same experience. Does anybody have a work-around. Is the reason perhaps the 4.3 menues???
I have taken several short movies and am putting them onto one DVD. Everything seems to be working fine except I cannot return to the main menu with the menu button on my remote once one of the movies has began playing. I can skip forward and back between movies though.
I used TMPGenc to create a DVD with menus. It played fine on my PC using POWERDVD. But, when I try to play on a standard DVD Player (Panasonic RV31), the disc is not recognized.
I can burn the DVD without Menus and it plays fine, so something about the menus is preventing the DVD from geing recognized.
for no good reason I decided to add a file to my dvd proggie for the hell of it being it was a ripped DVD just to see what would happen, now its a rip of that new flick "flying daggers" and the quality is gorgeous and I took a break to get a cup of coffee and answer a question in the TMPGenc forum for some poor dude, well I then opened my progiie and where it says add file or add DVD I hit add file and clicked on my VDV Rip file and my DVD drive in my NEC DVDRW went nuts........!! I mean NUTS.. It started revving like you were racing a car engine out of control, it went so fast that I actually got scared because I started smelling that burning plastic smell!! Lol I hope I didnt fry it and I doubt it but if anyone else wants a laugh try adding any MKV file and let me know what happens!! Oh and while were here and tho this is the wrong forum, I tried changing the value of my "priority" on my VFAPI plug in on my TMPGEnc proggie but I dont see how you guys do it?? I tried like right clicking so I could delete the value but to no avail, I uncheked and rechecked the DirectShow box in case that was how you did it, I see the value as -1 but I would like to set it to a normal or +2 if possible.......any idea's?
