Was working fine for me for quite a while, now I get this error. Uninstalling/cleaning/re-installing does not help. Error can occur anytime during the process, but usually between 20%-30%. I have confirmed that the video files conform to MPEG/DVD specs. Any help would be appreciated.
In the menu editor, there are buttons at the bottom right corner of the screen that activate various views. One of them allows you to see the active area around buttons. Buttons that are too close or overlapping another button will be highlighted red.
I have 2 pages with track in my dvd.
Everything works perfect only 3 track won't.
This is i think because they are called USER ADDED ITEM instead of Thumbnail of Chapter or Name of Chapter.
How can i get them also working?
If you manually added a thumbnail to the menu, it won't do anything because there is no way to link it to a chapter/track.
If you have 3 tracks, it should automatically generate a thumbnail for that track and then you can edit it as you wish.
I have a Samsung HMX-Q10 camcorder which records HD video in H.264/MP4 format. While attempting to put together a DVD of my videos in TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4, I try to edit each video clip, but the preview playback only plays the first half second or so normally, and then it stops moving completely. The audio continues to play. It seems the program chokes on it. I can play the videos smoothly through Windows Media Player. I also have the latest version of Quicktime installed on my computer. I have the "low resolution" option checked, but the help says that may not work with certain video formats. It seems to make no difference, so I assume the H.264 is one of those exceptions.
I am running an AMD A4-4000 Richland 3.2GHz Dual-Core CPU, with 4GB of DDR3 1333 RAM. My main hard drive is a 1TB, 7200RPM w/64MB cache, SATA, 6GB/sec Western Digital. The videos reside on a secondary SATA drive.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to get the preview video to play back smoothly? I upgraded my computer JUST for the purpose of editing my HD home movies, so it is quite a bummer to find it still not working. Would upgrading to version 5 work? Or should I install a specific codec to decode the H.265 video faster? Would moving the video to the main hard drive be better? Thank you!
I was always able to convert mkv files to dvd through tmpgenc authoring works 4 on Windows 8 but updated to Windows 8.1 and no longer able. I get the message "Could not open the video part of the file xyz.mkv. Only the audio part can be opened". I have tried updating a number of codecs but with no luck so far. The mkv plays fine on the laptop but only tmpgenc can't open. Please help!!

After completing my compilation and writing to disc all OK, the disc plays
in my portable player fine but if I try to play the disc in my blu ray it
sounds like a bag of pebbles turning around in the player trying to read it
Im missing something but what.
I tried changing the region on the player still no luck,could someone shine some light on my problem.
For anyone's info regarding this event happening to you with this software, try
changing the disc type the brand. I found a couple of plain dvd's not branded
burnt one of them exactly the same as before played first time.
please someone help me about making karaoke video with L/R audio.
i have .DAT .Vob or windows media files all with L/R sound
want to create my own dvd karaoke.
in the clip properties i start with billingual and run stimulation, it works. and have L/R sound. and to make it more convince i run export output and really ok in my PC im happy. but when i burn it, theres no L/R sound it mixed. i cant turn off the voice
and i change starting with multi audio
i run stimulation everythings work fine.
but when i burn into dvd.
the L/R audio mixed again..
so i start spliting the audio with other software
and go to clip propertiest multi audio with a different source
source 1 sound, source 2 voice.
run stimulation again works fine.
burn it again and got no L/R sound. only sound without voice.
anyone can help me ? i hope i can get the solution as soon as possible.
I have a DVD with many chapters set at scene changes, all of which have thumbnails. When I preview the project, the chapter thumbs are right where I set them; but when I output the DVD folder, many thumbnails are set 1 frame too soon. This means those thumbnails miss the scene changes.
My workaround has been to output the Keyframe List, import it into a spreadsheet, add 1 to all the values, and re-import the Keyframe List to redo the chapters so they're all set one frame later. Kind of a ridiculous process, but I've had to deal with this bug across several versions of AW4. Are there any settings that can correct this bug?
I have a Top menu with 3 tracks and one clip on each. And 3 thunbnails(play-buttons)linked to them. All works very well.
Now i wanted to add two new clips plus thumbnails,but I am stuck.
I can add new tracks and clips,but if I do there is automatically created a second page. I dont't want a second page.I just want to place some new clips and link-buttons)on my page #1. That seems not to be possible.
Do I have to open the Menu wisard and recreate the whole menu again?
If I do,all settings will be lost. Have I missed something?

Hope you guys can help. I have two projects saved, they seem to act differently. When playing a track, and the track ends, it goes back to the menu... but the track it just played is highlighted. Great, this is how I want it...
However, another project I am working on seemingly has the same settings, but when a track finishes playing, it goes back to the menu and the first track is highlighted.
I don't have TAW4 currently installed, but I think there is a setting in the Global Menu Settings for what is highlighted when you return to the menu, so check there.
Hello, I hope that here I solve this headache. I created a DVD with a first track and two track play menu. In the first track menu, I have only one episode of 30 minutes which when returned directly to the track just menu. The problem as I have in the second track menu, which termed as "extras" I have three videos (chapters) with a duration independent each other. My question is this:
After completing each chapter, you can return to the menu of the track both?, Because in my case if I press the first chapter, begins immediately after finishing second, and that's not what I want. What I want is that after finishing the chapter returns to the main menu which contains the 3 chapters.
Unfortunately, you can't return to the menu after a chapter ends with TAW4.
However, they added a setting in TAW5 that allows you to return to the menu after a certain chapter.
