I'm having trouble with the output of my project. I use basically the default settings in the application, but when I go to OUTPUT and Start Output, I deselct Write To The Media Disc After Output Completion. After output is completed, the window pops up showing completion and if I want to write disc using the Browse Output Folder or Disc Writing Tool. I select to browse the output folder and both AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders are there with the IFO and VOB files. I tried to load the files into DVD Shrink to burn the movie and I get an Invalid DVD Navigation Structure error. Although I only created a 2 min. test with audio, transition, subtitles, and even menu with audio background, it will not open. I tried it with Ashampoo Burning Studio 2009 and the files loaded, but I don't want to waste a dvd if it's working right.
I used the Disc Writing Tool to create an .iso dvd image and it did it fine, but when I load the .iso image with Daemon, it will not play in any of my players...Roxio DVDMax Player, PowerDVD or InterVideo WinDVD Gold 5. I'm just wondering if my encoding settings are wrong or if this is not possible. I would hate to waste a disc to see it not work. When I open the folder to play in the players, they only play in the order of the folders and not as if it were a dvd title.
Encode settings: (These should be all default settings)
DVD Video NTSC
Video stream format: Automatic (Smart rendering prioritized)
Video stream format: MPEG-2 Video
Resolution: Automatic (720x480 pixels)
Framerate: 29.7 fps progressive
Video bitrate: 7000 kb/s
Stream type: Dolby Digital
Sampling frequency: 48000 Hz
Channel mode: Stereo
Quantization: 16 bits
Audio bitrate: 256 kb/s
Not sure if this is any consolation, but it IS possible to open outputted files in DVD Shrink and create iso's that can be loaded into Daemon...because I've been doing this for a while and I like to use Daemon with PowerDVD to view the outputted files before burning them. I've never had any problems.
If you have done this in the same manner and have had no problem at all, it seems that there must be something wrong with my installation then. I've tried to run a few different small slideshow tests with the same results....nil. The VIDEO_TS files will not load into DVD Shrink and the .iso created with the TMPGEnc Writing Tool creates sucessfully and load into Daemon fine. When I try to run the virtual drive into all my players (Roxio DVDMax Player, PowerDVD, InterVideo WinDVD Gold 5....and I just uninstalled my Dell MEdia Experience to install Roxio's CinePlayer Surround HD 3.4) they all load with errors, and only show the drive as having a DVD in location. There's no filename or filesize.
I will try to reinstall the app and see if it fixes the problem. Until then, I've moved onto Photodex's ProShow Producer 4.0.2479 which works fine. I even tried the Wondershare Movie Story 4.5.0.1 trial and it works fine too but it doesn't have all the addins I'm looking for.
I'm not giving up on it, but I thought that this would be the One.
Yeah, maybe it's a bad install. Your settings seem fine to me, since I do pretty much the same thing; I usually don't burn to disc, and I usually use the default settings.
Have you tried loading the Video_ts folder into PowerDVD? That works for me as well.
hello everyone , I was doing ok until this started to happend, I do some family video editing , some partys and get togethers, every was coming along fine burning AVI files, Xvid, Divx, 1.30 to 1.50 Hour.minutes files at first with DVD+R 16x the results OK no problems, then I came across a different format disk DVD-R 16x the results continue to be good, the I switch back to DVD+R 16x same brand as I use previously, and now I'm able to burn the disk but it will not play on a regular DVD player. it reads ( disk it's durty ) code 13 70 , I try playing the same DVD into the computer and the computer will no recognice the format the first window that appears says DVD it is Blank and there data on the disk, second window appears and it estates that the disk its not readable or that the data it's corrupted, so now I can't burn on DVD+R disc, my dvd player its capable to playthem but not lately.......... can someone helpmi or give me some tips or insides my burner its an Asus DRW-2014-L1T, motherboard--EVGA 790I ultra, CPU--Intel Q6600 @ 2.4 Ghz, 1066 Mgz, Graphics card--EVGA 9800 GTX+, 512mb, 738 Mhz core, 2200 Mhz mem clock and lates K-Lite full codecs, XP Codecs.
I am capturing VHS using VirtualVCR to a .AVI file. Can I import this directly into Authuring Works 4 and start authoring without any other encoding / decoding..etc ? Thanks
Is there a way to switch a project from NTSC to PAL or vise versa? I need to burn DVDs with slideshows for both Europe and the USA (family in both countries).
It is very time consuming to create two identical projects for just a conversion issue.
Unfortunately, there's no easy way to switch between PAL and NTSC. You'll have to recreate most of it.
One thing you can do is save your menu as a template so that's one less thing you have to redo.
From the Menu Stage, Edit menu --> Save the current menu as a new template.
H, does anyone know what GOP is? I have not been able to write to disc because of a GOP error. I went trhu the help files and it is not very helpful. I seem to be stuck on this one cpmonent. Can anyone offer some advice.
Thanks
Actually I am facing the GOP error too. The error says "Video GOP is too long..."
Just to see what happens, I hit Continue when I got this error message to continue to burn the DVD. It burns right however the DVD hangs in the first second when loaded on a Standalone.
After outputting a DVD project from Authoring Works, I am unable to delete the output from the hard drive. All files are deleted except the VOB files. For these files I get an "Access id Denied" error. As well, what is worse, I am not able to take "ownership" of these files, in spite of the fact that my user is an administrator, with full rights to the whole computer.
I am using Vista 32-bit, and have never had this problem with any other product. However, it has been the case with every project I've outputted from Authoring Works... it's now taking up around 30GB of space... and makes me not want to output any more projects!
My user is member of a Windows 2003 domain. So is my computer.
If I log in as the local administrator, I can delete the files. It is only with the domain user that I am denied access.
So, it seems there is a bug in the program that if a user is a domain user, the VOB files which are exported are not erasable by that user.
It may also be related the bug that the "finalizing VOB files" process is amazingly slow... it takes about 1 minute per VOB file, when using the domain user.
There is a new survey on the TMPGEnc website. I think it'll be a good place to let them know what kind of features or products you'd like to see. Plus, who knows? you might win some free software.
I have demux an Blu-Ray VC1 with tsMuxer into different files:
- one VC1 for the video VC1 1920x1020 in 23,9 fps
- two AC3 for the audio channels
- two SUP for two subtitles
In TMPGEnc Authoring 4, I want to create an BLU-RAY .
I import the source file VC1
So I user TsMuxer to create a TS file from just the video channel.
Now I can import it, add the two AC3 files and the two subtitiles (after converting in SRT with SUPrip), I can create the Menu.. the chapters.. etc
Everything is ok... until ...
I can't simulate the result ... neither output ..
I have an error :
the track xxxxxx invalid video pulldown mode ?
What does it mean ?
Why I can import, edit the video, but not output ?
You may need to change the framerate of the track that is getting the error.
In the Source Stage, click on the "Settings" button for the track that has the error.
Then, click on the "Video" tab. Change the famerate to something else and see if that solves the problem.
If that doesn't work, try changing the display mode and field order as well.
I have EXACTLY the same problem.
I have downloaded Grease which was 33Gb, and a separate Subtitles SRT file.
It connected just file.
I have version: 4.0.2.14
Everything goes OK until "Simulation". Will not run.
"Output will not run".
Everytime I get the "Invalid Pull Down" error.
I swiched to a lower bitrate like 20000 or 15000, as TKRAVE on the forum suggested to you, but nothing helps.
Maybe you solved the problem? If you did please tell me your solution.
I opened a support ticket for this. They came back and suggested disabling all multithread check boxes. In some cases, this worked.
In other cased, I've used Xpress 4 to convert the bluray m2ts to a BMDV mpg file then import it into Works 4 for the video source. Xpress 4 will not encode the 5.1 audio track as part of the bluray BMDV mpg. It will only create a 2 channel Dolby Digital audio track.
Then import the original m2ts file, if it only has DTS 5.1 or AC3 5.1 audio, for the audio source. Works will now create the bluray dvd without generating this error.
