Thank you for your continued support of Pegasys products.
As for the issue with some of our products (prior to August 2021) that the application does not start due to the error "The executable file is different from the original".
The installer of TMPGEnc MPEG Smart Renderer 5 that has been corrected is currently available.
I cannot get this program to open any longer, and I know it is not on my end, because I use it on all 3 of my PCs, and all of a sudden, I get the error "The executable file is different from the original" -
I have redownloaded it from my product download login, and it is the same thing. I don't care whether you support it or not, if you require the program to contact you every time it is open to use it, then you need to fix it when you mess it up as I have paid for it. I didn't pay for it to just work for a couple of years then break. I just bought your Video Mastering works 7 this week, so please support your paying customer who gives you his money. Why is my program not working?
I am having this exact same issue, with TMPGEnc MPEG Smart Renderer 5. It was working just a couple days ago, and now I'm getting the message "The executable file is different from the original.(0)"
I tried reaching out to support to let them know, but because I'm using version 5, and they literally check your serial number before you can even send them a message, I have no way to contact them!
Like you, I already tried uninstalling/reinstalling and such. Also, like you, I feel that it's fine if they don't to provide ongoing technical support forever, but if they make their software phone home just to open, then they at least need to keep that running! It's silly to think that software you purchased will just arbitrarily get bricked one day because a server somewhere went offline or something. This is crazy! I have work I'm trying to get done!
As of this morning, I am also receiving the same error when I launch Smart Renderer 5. Difference is that my software has been installed for several years and was working as recently as yesterday. Virus scans show nothing wrong and I've not modified anything on my machine recently. Yesterday OK, today broken.
I found this: Audio Channel Map Edit
When selecting a MXF file which can be edited for its audio channel map, you can apply an arbitrary channel mode to each channel.
I think this is only possible in MXF file.
This is EXACTLY what is stopping me from buying this software. I tried the trial, and I do not understand why when I put a video file with two audio streams in it to encode, I only get one of the audio streams in the finished product.
And I do purchase Pegasys software as I have a paid TMPG Smart Renderer that I love and allows multiple audio streams by the way.
It is a little unnerving to see the lack of support in this forum for a paid popular product. And this current question was asked almost three months ago and several times and there is no reply??
I'm in the process of setting up a blu-ray disc that is meant to have five tracks (episodes). I only want a top menu to show all the tracks; I'm trying to avoid individual track menus. The problem I'm running into is if I disable track menus, I also disable the ability to have a subtitle menu. I can only set subtitles from the track menus, which adds a lot of unnecessary menu pages. Is there any way to add a global subtitle link to the Top Menu? Or even just a on/off toggle option to the Top Menu? If I can do this, then it allows me to have only 1-2 pages vs over 20. Thank you!
in the menu wizzard you have to choose "Create Custom Menu by Choosing Layout and Items" in this way you can create the menu you want.
and you can choose if the five episodes should be part of the main menu, create main menu and episodes sub menu in the wizzard itself it will ask you if the audio tracks and their subtitles should have a separate menu or not there are many options to create your project

I have tested AW7 to check improvements on AW6.
But I have not found any trace of the "file mode" I used in AW6.
This makes it impossible to edit H.264 recorded .ts files without re-encoding since all of the existing templates force re-encoding.
AW6 allows fast editing without re-encoding.
Am I missing something?
Or is this function gone in this new version?
When I try to add a transition between chapters I get an error message. This message 00.00.00 etc. is not an integer, is reported when I press the arrow right with transition to add one. If I open the transitions, i get this error message immediately and I cannot stop this message and only can delete the task.
All of sa sudden I cant import multiple files. When I try it just gives me the first file. I just updated to the 3.9.23 and it still does it. Any suggestions? Thanks
Can TMPGEnc author 1080p blu ray ISOs that are H.265 and 10 bit?
Every other authoring program I have come across only allows H.265 10 Bit with 4K files and NOT 1080p.
(Many of us enjoy the compression of HEVC even for 1080p!)
You won't even be able to play those any way with a Blu-ray player, IF it was even possible to do so in some Blu-ray creator software.
You will just end up with a typical "No Disc" or " Disc Not Supported" message from the Blu-ray player (both 1080p and 4K players).
Reason: Format mismatch because H.265 (HEVC) and 10bit is only reserved for 4K Blu-ray discs.
What these rippers do to their MKV files are manipulation of the original sourced H.264 1080p video, so there you have to stick using a media player to play those manipulated MKV files of theirs.
