When using the merge & Cut function in tmpgenc 2.52 to cut a large mpeg2-stream tmpgenc freezes after a few seconds. Programm has to be killed with task manager. Problem occurs only under win xp pro, in win 2000 there is no problem.
Does anybody know anything about ?
thks, chris
yes be sure that your file doesnt contain any errors that I found caused me a lot of hedache the file would convert only to a point where the corrupt was then error out leaving a useless piece of junk. I wish the author of TMPGenc would add the ability for TMPGenc to fix these error spots. Hmm maybe in a future revision. ~NewtronX
File/stream is not defective. I cut the same stream under WIN2000 and it worked so it seems to be a WIN XP problem. I´m starting the same TMPGEnc.exe on my second hard disk while changing the hard disk physically (two OS) with a changing bracket. So video stream is on my second hard disk (e:) stored and the tmpgenc is stored on my second hard disk as well.
Any good ideas ?
I recently purchased TMPGEnc Plus. All my encoded movies have the little image (watermark?) in the upper right corner. I am refering to what looks like a logo or watermark which is a a graphic composes of 9 very small squares in a 3 x 3 grid. Does anyone else have these on their vidoes? Is this permanent? Should it be removed after installing the licensed version of TMPGEnc Plus 2.53?
Strange, uninstall it, download the version from http://www.pegasys-inc.com/
or go throught there link to download the proggy, then use your licens to register it, there should be no watermark if you have a registerd version, at least to my knowleg.
I am running "TMPG ENC" on an old Pentium Pro 180mhz. It seems to work ok, however it takes up to 6-7 Hours to convert AVI to VCD. Apart from upgrading to a faster PC, is there anything that I can do with this thing to speed up the process???
I have something I want to know, I have read lot's of guides on howto do this to my question is this.
I download a DivX movie (640*360 with AC3 sound) extract the audio to an uncompressed WAV file. Now I have a DivX and Wav file, insert them into Tmpgenc, load up a SVCD template and change some small stuff.
Now if I hit encode, it takes lika 36h or something to complete and when it's done I have a file that is around 2Gb. Now how do I split this file, Is it possible to do in tmpgenc since I don't like bbmpg and how long does it take to split a file that big in tmpgenc ?
click on settings. set the motion search estimate to fast. in the advanced tab, use the source filter. move to the first frame, hit start frame, move to the end of the file and hit last frame.
I have manages to get the project file produce though DVDAVI, but i cannot get the file to project video file to load in TEMPENG. I have set the setting higher as suggested, and also reinstalled TEMPENG. I am sure someone knows the answer out there ...HELP!!!!!
Try and follow a guide in here http://doom9.com and you will probably understand what the problem is, or goto a link throught that site to another site with DVD 2 avi or divx or whatever guides.
I get the error "###### s packets cause buffer underflow. The MPEG might cause error when it played." when I am using the MpegTools to multiplex the Mpeg file. Anyone knows what's teh cause and how to fix the problem? Appreciate inputs.
I get this error to when trying to multi-plex,buffer underflow is caused by not enough bits to create the desired mpeg frames,as to how to fix it is hard to say but you can try increasing the buffer size, this hes worked with me on occation or you can try "cbr" mode were the bits are constant through the whole file......
After I convert the DIVX5 to full uncompressed avi in virtual dub and then put it thru TMPGEnc to recompress to MPEG2the sound plays fine for about 4 minutes and then drops out...It then reappears a few minutes later starting from the exact spot it had dropped out from but totally out of synch with the film...What am I doing wrong...Techno if you have an answer please email me as this problem has caused me to create at least 4 coasters with very expensive blank dvd media
I would suggest you use 2-pass VBR, CBR is good but I tried to encode a VOB (dvd) with that method and the results where the same compared to 2-pass vbr only that it took up half the space.
The thing with 2-pass VBR is to keep a hight bitrate average between 2000-2400 then there could be some blockyness on fast moving pictures but it's hard to see and the whole movie is good enought quality anyway.
The above is for SVCD, for VCD you don't need to care about anything, just load up the template for your needs, select maximum motion search quality and encode.
I am trying to convert an AVI file over to a NTSC VCD MPEG-1 format. The original file is likely encoded in DIVX5 or DIVX4. I had originally Divx 3.11 Alpha installed on my machine, but was unable to 1.) play it in Medial Player, 2.) open it from TMPGEnc. However after installing DIVX5 I was able to play the video, but not able to encode it in TMPGEnc. There is a blank screen when I try to encode. However, I am able to encode older DIVX AVI files. Does TMPGEnc not support AVI that is encoded in DIVX5? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the help...I was guessing that. However, where can I find DIVX 4.11?? All of the regular sites that I go to, to get DIVX, have all updated their links to DIVX 5. Great community- hope to contribute in the future.....
I have a mpeg2 svcd compliant file, accept for the frame size,it is 352 by 480,will this be accepted by my dvd/svcd player and will nero accept it as compliant?????thanx for your help........
try to encode a small part first, then put it in the nero template, see if it accepts it, if not, then follow the errors it gives so u can specify the settings it gives u.
