Hi everyone. I'm new to this software and I'm trying to import several tga and png image sequences (about 2000 images) using either the source wizard or add files feature.
There does not seem to be an easy way of importing them for re-compression as a movie file. Some other software I have used will recognise the sequence and let you just select the first file and it will gather the rest.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hello,
I'm looking for a SW for Authoring DivX Ultra files.
The product TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 with DivX Authoring and the product TMPGEnc Author Works 4 are EOLEed by Pegasys and the new version of TMPGEnc Author Works 5 doesn't support DivX Ultra.
I am actually using the trial of the DivX Author v.1.5 that I've downloaded from the DivX site but it is not ass good as the two previously mentioned.
Furthermore it hungs sometimes when Authoring a high quantity of films in a single DivX file which is my case because I'm using DivX compression because I want to fit many low quality films in a single DVD.
Is there any way to purchse either the TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 with DivX Authoring or the TMPGEnc Author Works 4 or is there another good product for Authoring DivX Ultra ?
Thanks in advance.
Enrique.
So I downloaded the trial version so I could try out the smart rendering to see if it would work with my video. All indications were that my video was a supported format (MPEG-4 AVC), but I couldn't get the "Smart Render Analyzer" to indicate that any of the video would be smart rendered. When I rendered, I found it was putting a water mark in the video. So I guess that is why it isn't smart rendering? So is it completely impossible to test smart rendering on my video in the trial? Why isn't this indicated ANYWHERE ON THE WEBSITE OR IN THE PROGRAM?
Hello!
Each output format defaults to specific parameters but I rarely use these. I'd like to change these so when I decide on a specific output, it uses parameters I most often use. Ex - Divx defaults to a Home Theatre Profile but I'd like it to be Divx HD 720. MPEG-4 defaults to Level 3 and 352 x 288. I'd like Level 5, 720x480.
Thanks for any help!!!
>I don't think you can change the default parameters, but you can just save it as an output template and select that in the future.
Ahhh! Thanks for the great idea! I hadn't considered that!!! I was thinking that someone would know how to maybe edit an .ini file or something of the like but your idea is sure a bunch better than what I've been doing! Thanks!
Trying to edit a project made a few days ago.
The project loads fine, the simulation starts ok, but as soon as I hit the "Top menu" or the "track menu" button, I get the following error:
"Access is denied. (error code 0x80070005)"
And I can't do anything useful or even gracefully exit TAW5 after that (the app must be killed with Windows Task Manager).
I have no clue what could have changed since I initially made (without any error or problem) the project...
found the culprit: the BGM source file was moved ! Everything ok now (but an error message more meaningful than "access denied" would be welcome when a file used as a resource in a project is missing...)
I'm having trouble aligning to the centre (vertically and horizontally) objects in the timeline. Either text, or video/image clips. If their size or position is changed, there doesn't seem to be a way to properly align them to the centre. The alignment/position settings at the text properties windows, and the left/top sliders at the timeline window, do not help. Is there another way I'm missing? Thanks.
This is an important message for those of you who use ffdshow and Haali in order to work with video, who has been encoded with DTS audio.
The latest version of ffdshow has gone thrue some major updates in the mixer settings.
It is no longer required to set it to 5.1 channels or more in order to read all audio channels in the DTS structure.
In the latest version of ffdshow, all you have to set in the Mixer setting is: same as input
Both TVMW5 and TAW5 will be able to read determine the correct number of audio channels in the DTS structure of the video file you wish to work with.
Don`t work.
Windows 8 x64 Pro
ffdshow_rev4500_20130106
Haali Media Splitter 1.13.138.14
TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5 5.4.0.100 Trial
DTS Audio 5.1 48 kHz 768 kbps 24-bit in M2TS or TS not detected.
If you downloaded the 64bit version of FFDSHOW, uninstall it using Revo Uninstaller (freeware) in order to be 100% sure that everything has been removed, which also incl. everything it wrote to the registry and reboot computer.
Then download the latest 32bit version of FFDSHOW at the official site http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/
Reason: Haali is 32bit software and can't work propperly together with the 64bit version of FFDSHOW, they have communication issues.
Once the 32bit version of FFDSHOW has been installed, its time to set the propper settings.
Audio decoder configuration/Codecs:
TrueHD: libavcodec
DTS: libdts
Uncompressed: All supported
Now activate the mixer in FFDSHOW and set Audio speakers configuration to: same as input
---------------
Now the time has come to adjust the audio settings within TVMW-5:
Options => Preferences => Input/output format list => File input plug-in
Remove here everything that has been marked EXCEPT the one at DirectShow file reader, then OK, close TVMW-5 and then load it again.
Above is also how you do it in TAW-5. Their audio configurations are identical.
Note: This does NOT give support for DTS-HD Master audio (Blu-ray), only standard DTS, which is commonly used by Blu-ray movie rippers in their MKV files.
The TS and TRP filetypes (both the same) are normally only used for TV broadcast recording by settop boxes and Smart-tv's, where DTS is not supported.
If you have .ts files with DTS audio, then you have files that are out of standard, which i do understand can't be determined correctly by video editors, because they demand that the file types follow the rules that has been made for them.
But for .ts files, you do also have MPEG and AAC audio. These two are also on the list of supported audio formats for TV broadcast and can also be found on the list of audio codecs in FFDSHOW.
Is there a recommended workflow to avoid unnecessary work when authoring both a DVD and a BD, that should have the same menu layout/structure, and the same source files (but with different encoding produced by TVMW5).
I would make the BD version first (better to scale down than to scale up), then try using the "Open with conversion" option in the Start Window. This will allow you to convert the project into another output format, like DVD-Video.
This is a relatively new option they added and I've never actually used it before, but it might work well.
Good idea !
Unfortunately I had to produce the DVD version first due to pressure from the client :)
Will try to up-convert to BD anyway.
There aren't so many fancy graphics so the upconversion should be painless....
I cannot encode to a large external drive with 2100gb free.
I get this error. The drive is USB3.0 I've connected it both usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 see if either would work.
I'm trying to encode 32000 tifs into an avi for mastering at 1080P.
I'm also making proxy wmv and mp4 files at 854x480 res @ 4Mbit. They don't work either. All paths are set to this drive in preferences. There is not enough space on my internal drive. Based on Microsoft's info on the error it looks like a bug? Any ideas how to solve? I'm guessing it has to do with the large number of stills. I've tried both CUDA and intel encoding.
Not enough storage is available to complete this operation (error code 0x8007000e)
What file system are you using on that external drive, FAT32 or NTFS ?
If your drive is FAT32, then it is equal for not having enough storage, because FAT32 is limited to just about 4GB in file size.
The drive has to be formated to NTFS if you want to go above 4GB in file sizes.
Note: I have Video Mastering Works 5 running on Win7 x64
All of my drives are NTFS and contain many files well over 4GB yet in the last few days I am suddenly seeing this error message also.
As well, usually I can use the program to edit videos larger than 9 GB but often I get this error message when dealing with files well under 4 GB.
Lately I am trying to re-encode a bunch of 1080p MP4 videos to 720p - no editting involved - and I am often getting this error 1% or 2% into the encoding. When I watch the process in Task Manager I can see the encoding process's RAM usage at around 300 MB of RAM and then suddenly spike to 3.5 GB. With videos that successfully encode - even 8 GB ones - the RAM usage stays around 300 MB for the whole encoding process.
