When trying to play my BluRay on a conventional Hardware Player, everything works fine until I reach the minute mark 45:57 on Track 1 (main movie). The movie just freezes. The only way to resume is to fast forward or rewind for 1 sec and then hit play. Now the movie plays back seemlessly.
The track contains only one larger file (01:13:14) an 13 chapters. None of the chapters fall on this timecode. When I play it back on a disc drive on my PC (via VLC Media Player), it all works perfectly fine.
I am trying to create blu-ray compliant folders so that I may burn a BD-R upon completion.
I added a number of MKV files and associated .ac3 audio files to TAW6 and saved the project. I am now trying to output the project to files, but TAW6 keeps stopping the output at various points. Two .m2ts files have been created in the "Stream" folder, but the 3rd one shows 0 KB with no further progress. The time "Remaining" keeps increasing......
I have tried saving to a local drive as well as to an attached one without any luck.
I'm trying to add Spanish subtitles, and while the appear to be added successfully, the text is often ends up missing or incomplete, am i missing something? Any help be appreciated
I came from a DVD authoring environment 20 years ago using Scenarist, so the terminology I use is based upon that software.
What I'd like to know is how to create a non-skippable screen at the beginning of the Blu-ray disc (Scenarist calls this a 'no op'). This would be like a copyright notice at the front end, that we don't want to be skipped, but play for 5-8 seconds. Is it possible in Authoring Works 7? If so, how is it implemented?
Hello - I have a MKV file with 3 sets of subtitles and I can view them in several different media players. In TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works, I enabled subtitle support via Preferences.
However, when I import the MKV file TMPGEnc doesn't appear to show anywhere that the source file has subtitles. Also, any output file (MKV format) no longer has the original subtitles.
Does TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works support subtitles in MKV files? If it does, what else can I do to make sure the existing subtitle stay with the output MKV file?
After checking with support, here is a summary of subtitle support in Mastering Works 7:
1) Under Filters, you have the ability to add subtitles, import subtitles, etc. to a project
2) While Master Works 7 can import a MKV file but it cannot recognize any subtitles embedded within the MKV (i.e., subtitles are lost). You can add them back if you can export the subtitles to a separate file via another app.
Another app - Handbrake - can keep the subtitles contained in a MKV file when exporting to an MKV. However, Handbrake is not a replacement for everything Mastering Works 7 can do.
The Multiplexer tool will not successfully combine 2 MTS files. The resulting size of the file is correct, but the video time length shows the length for the 1st video. And, when I play it in VLC Player, it ends where the 1st video ends. The 2nd video is not recognized. I have to use an app, tsMuxerGUI, to accomplish this task. Can this be fixed? Thanks!
I'm on the Trial Version on Authoring Works 7, this is the questiuon that can make me buy ot not the software.
I have a lot of mkv videos with subtitles and various audio files, i want to import them and make my personal blurays but whenever i import something it doesn't include the option to see the subtitles that are already on the video i'm importing. I don't want to pass it to Handbrake to make more files and making my process slower, so i was asking if i'm doing something wrong or how i correct it

I'm making a menu and I'd like to make the title tracks appear some seconds later than the beginning of the video I'm adding on the background. Here I'm attaching a video of mine as an example so as to make it clear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiV2BlHQ1tk
I've been able to do that by using the fade-in effect on the track titles and making the highlights opaque (as I can't find a fade-in effect for those). However, if you use the arrow on the screen and press randomly (even if you can't see the titles), any of the videos will play, as the disappearing and appearing of the titles is nothing but an optical effect. What I want is the actual options to play the video to appear later (not just the titles' pictures).
Hi there. I'm brand new to TMPGEnd Authoring Works 7. However, I've worked in video editing for the last 30 years, so I'm not quite a newbie to the field.
I created some subtitle files in Premiere for a video I need to make a Blu-ray of, and I tried embedding it in the Quicktime file, I created a side file in srt format, and also converted it to .subtitle format also, but I seem unable to import it in the project.
It's as if I need to create the subtitles straight in the project, which would be insane, when you already have a file available.
Hello, I am trying to create a blu-ray menu for a physical release of my short films.
This is all I’m trying to do:
• Intro video with my company logo.
• a Top menu with “Play All” and “Select Film” buttons.
• Play All plays all films then returns to the top menu.
• Select Film takes you to the first film’s menu page.
• a menu page for each film with “Play” “Next” and “Main menu” buttons
• Play plays the film then returns to that films menu page.
•Next goes to the next films menu.
• Main menu goes to top menu.
• Last film is simply “Play” and “main menu”
this seems like it should be relatively simple, but boy oh boy, I’m beating my head against a wall here.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
