when will there be CUDA support for the GTS8800. As descibted on the Nvidia Drivers Page ther's support but running TMPGENC XPress with CUDA is telling me it does not CUDA on GTS8800 - and the App is telling it does not currently support the GTS8800 - so when?
I have no problems using my 8800GTS 512MB with CUDA enabled.
I saw your thread at Nvidia forums too, I am wondering if its something about the first generation G80 cards that they lack something the G92's have and TMPGenc either doesn't support or is unaware of it.
I also have a 8800GTS, when I go into the Options, Preferences under CUDA 2.0 that page is completely grayed out so the application doesn't even see the video card. I'm now running Windows 7. Thoughts?
It would be useful since Xpress4 on German Win7 64bit refuses to install at all and stalls the complete system. That's not what I'd expect from an application like that. ALL other 32bit apps installed perfectly und run as expected....
Yes it worked perfectly, but I uninstalled nero, since then it did not want to write, In the meantime I uninstalled nero and even repaired my adope premier but stil get the same message.
Thanking you much apprecaite your willingness to help me

I have i7 860, 4G RAM, WinXP 64-bit.
when I start the service "B's Recorder GOLD", it gives out "B's Recorder GOLD error 2: The system cannot find the file specified". Then I install Nero instead to write the file to DVD.
I think TMPG Authorworks does not support writing to disc in WinXP 64-bit,
Is anyone else having troubles importing large m2v files? Everything works fine for me when importing smaller files (less than 2 GB, or about 30 minutes), but when I try to import a larger file (about 2.3 GB, 37 minutes), the video is truncated after 1 second.
I can import longer video clips directly from a DVD -- I'm just having trouble importing bare MPEG-2 video clips.
In TMW4 I am trying to make a menu with the following structure:
1. A Top Menu with the Play a Tracks buttons
2. A track menu (page1) within all tracks
Each clip is in one track.
My request: When a access the track menu and I select a particular track, after play that track, I would like to have the option to return to the track menu page and of course select another track to play, instead to return to the Top Menu page.
I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you want.
In your Top Menu, do you just want one button to access the Track Menu and that's all that is on the page?
In your Track Menu, you want to list all of the tracks and be able to select which one you want to play?
Do you require menu pages where you can select the chapters of a track?
Regarding your request, what you are describing is exactly how the Top Menu works.
Not sure if it's exactly what you want, but this is what I would do:
-Make a custom menu.
-Create a title page in the Top Menu.
-Select your desired menu layout, buttons, background, etc.
-Either choose Top Menu only or Top and Track menu (if you want chapter menus).
-For the "Track playback end" option select "Display the top menu".
The title page becomes what you describe as your top menu.
The top menu becomes what you describe as your track menu.
You're right - it goes back to the title page. Sorry, I forgot that it would do that.
I'm afraid that's the closest you can get to what you want though.
I was wondering if windows 7 64bit support is on the table? I have been using movie style without a hitch all through RC and for the last month during win7 release, but recently it been getting errors on start up and I am having to reinstall the program.
Hi, i'd like to know if TMPG Xpress is working fine on Windows 7.
I'm from Argentina and my native language is spanish, so thats the reason for my poor english i hope you could understand me.
Any users out there who have tried this on Windows 7 64-bit? Does it work? I know the official word is unsure, so just wondering if anyone took a shot anyways?!
II'm using Win 7 64bit and I installed TmpgEnc Xpress, but it's not working with matroska files. Even doesn't in Win 7 32bit. So, it's not really compatible with 7.

Do you have Norton Internet Security or some other type of Anit-virus software? Try turning it off and disconnecting from the internet before you install.

Can you give us some details on what you are converting? Input file type and size, output format and settings, your system specs, etc.
That goes for everyone with a problem; include as much info as possible!
Hi, i'd like to know if TMPG Enc is working fine on Windows 7.

I have tried using TMPGEnc Authoring 4 with Windows 7 64bit and it doesn't work for me. When I load a file to create a dvd the Clip-Edic wont play the video or audio. I can see the video when I start the output process and the video outputs fine, but still no audio. I've tried this with many different files and still the same result.
Thanks all of you.
I already have my TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4 (4.0.4.24) working fine on Windows 7 x86.
LordZelo, you should try get this version and it may work. When i tried install the new version i couldn't but whit 4.0.4.24 i have no problem at all.
I'm argentine and my native language is spanish, thats the reason for my poor english but i think you can understand me.
What kind of video file is it? You will need to use a separate program to remove the subtitles because you won't be able to do it with Authoring Works 4.
Hi
I have TMPGenc on two pc one on windows and the other on windows Vista. I am having problems with Window Vista after installing and i click on add file it say that it can only load the Audio part. The files play on my VLC player and others players that i have with no problems. Maybe i have to format something on my TMPGenc for my Vista so i can add my files. Can tell someone tell me what to do.
Hi
I have TMPGenc Xpress 4.7 and when Add file a message come up sayinf that it can only play the part. I have Window Vista and the .AVI files play on my VLC player no problems. Can some tell me what is the problem. Thanks
Try to check what codec the video uses. You can check the codec information in VLC by going to the Tools menu and selecting Codec Information. You can also use programs like GSpot to find out the codec information. It's possible that the video is playable with one of VLC's codecs, but you don't have the actual codec installed, which is why it won't play in Windows Media Player and 4.0 XPress.
After you've found which codec the video uses, find it on the internet, download it and install it. Then see if your video plays in Windows Media Player and 4.0 XPress.
