When I make on Audio Fade-In filter with duration just in 1 second for AC3 this leads to re-encoding whole audio track!!! Why??? This filter must take affect just for 1 or 2 seconds (depend of audio frame lenght. for AC3 it just 32ms!)
This morning when I wanted to transcode a file using TVMW5, I got a green screen in the video preview: impossible to read the file. Until yesterday everything was working OK. Nothing happened in the system happened since (software updates, etc.) !
The "offending" files are .AVI encoded with Matrox I-Frame MPEG2 codec ("M701") and play just fine with a.o. Windows Media Player 12. There maybe other AVI codecs that yield the same result, but I haven't tested.
The same problem occurs when I try to open the file with TAW5.
The workaround found is to force DirectShow File reader, instead of leaving the default autoselected AVI File reader.
What's wrong ?
Where's the problem: a codec issue at OS level ? Should I reinstall the Matrox apps & codec ? (But the Matrox apps, as well as WMP12, can still properly play the fles)
A corruption of TMPGEnc apps ? But the problem is the same for TVMW, TAW, why ???
Is there any downside in using the DirectShow File reader vs. the AVI File reader (performance, quality ?) - platform is Win7 SP1
I have several tracks with multiple audio tracks in each one. My global settings are set display the button to select the audio track, but without success.
The 3 audio tracks appear in the source page for each video.
Does your menu have separate track menu pages, or is it top menu only? I believe the audio/subtitle buttons only appear on the track and popup menu pages.
Once an mpeg is encoded, the audio video sync goes off by 1/2 second when playback is from a DVD player. Playback on the computer is just fine, but the sync is lost when the file is played on a player. This is a new development. It has worked just fine for years. Until now. I suspect I have inadvertently changed a setting when I'm at the formatting step. I know how to adjust the sync before encoding, but then the resulting file will work on the player and not on the computer. Please help!!!
I have created a Blu-ray from many old home movies, in 20+ chapters. They are silent. I want to add a single long playing audio track to play along with the whole thing, but cannot figure out how to do it. If I add the audio to the first chapter, TMPGEnc TAW5 simply resizes the first clip to as long as the audio.
Is there a way to do this? I do not want to hand split the audio into 20+ pieces and add one at a time to tracks (plus that would likely have audio gaps).
Hi. Not sure if I can help but I will try. First can you clarify, do you mean you have 1 long file within 1 track that is chapter marked 20 times, or do you mean you have 20 different files within 1 track (thus making every clip a chapter) ?
I have 20 video clips, set as 20 chapters. I want to take a long list of songs, merge them into one audio, and have them play while the 20 video clips play.
Cutting the audio into 20 sections would be a pain, and I suspect would be hard to get to sync nicely at the boundaries.
Have you thought of authoring the disc first without your music track (no need to do a menu at this stage) and then because it will join up all video clips in to 1 big file (output to blu-ray folder), you could then import that in to a new project, then chapter mark each video, this will then show your video as one long clip but still with it chaptered in to 20 different points. Because it is now one long file you can add a long music track to it.
After installing the new version 5.0.8.10
when you try to start
I get the error "the key was not present in the dictionary"
After pressing OK, the program does not start.
I went back to version 5.0.7.9
For years I have been using TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress to convert video files to mpg format suitable for burning DVDs in TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 with DivX Authoring.
Now, I find that this product cannot convert mp4 video files to mpg format and so I cannot make DVDs from mp4 video files.
Can you please advise me how I can use my existing TMPGEnc software products with mp4 video files?
Also, I have been reading on the Pegasys website about the TMPGEnc PGMX Creator software.
Can you please advise if this 'PGMX' software can create and burn DVDs from mp4 video files?
Were you able to convert mp4 files before? I don't have an issue converting mp4 to mpg for DVD in 4.0 XPress. What version are you using?
PGMX Creator does not create DVDs; it creates a proprietary format called PGMX which basically works like DVD/Blu-ray but is primarily for playback on a computer or Android/iOS device via the PGMX Player software.
My vmw5 has started to exhibit an error message "failed to execute the bridge system (5-5)" when I attempt to edit an flv file. How can I correct this??
