Hi All,
I do hope that someone can help with the following.
I have a few video tapes that I am looking to put onto DVD. I have the ability to record them to my blu ray recorder settop box and then place onto DVD.
I have the Mastering Works 5 and I am then looking to see if there is any such method/filtering that would help with improving quality and small drop outs from time to time.
I know that there are a number of filters to select from and also you would need to know a bit about what each filter can do.
Has anyone else completed such a task and has there been any such general rule of thumb with which filters to use and what settings to set them to?
If anyone can provide an idea as to what they have done as a standard to which I can work from would be great.
Many thanks,
Richard
I own Video Mastering 5. I created a single slideshow file that I created using Video Mastering 6 Trial. In order to open this file, is Video Mastering 7 backwards compatible with 6? If not, is Video Mastering 6 still available for purchase?
Im wondering if it's possible that during the creation process if the subtitles can be be defaulted to off, each burn that ive done so far the subtitles are defaulted to on and have to be turned off once the video has started or via the menu. Thanks in advance foe any information that can be shared with me
I have a very new laptop with a gtx 4070. When exporting tmpegenc is not using any of the gpu/cuda. I have all the settings set up for it and gave it permission in the nvida control panel.
You may need to update your Nvidia driver, or check on Nvidia's Control panel > 3D settings > Program settings, check if the software is added, if not click Add select the software, restart your machine and check it.
I am doing some heavy Blu Rays lately and unfortunately it seems to be ardly using the GPU and only half of the CPU It means VERY slow outputs. Has anybody had this and overcome it? I am using Razor EGPU's. I have tried with Nvidia Cards and Radion 6900 cards. I see no real efficiency improvements.
AV1 format is becoming the future of video encoding because of its compression performance (+30% vs HEVC) and free licensing.
I'd like to have a stream and video format option in the tab format :
- Hardware with AV1 NVENC support. Latest NIVIDIA 40** card have very powerful and fast prebuilt encoders. For AMD users, VCN AV1
- Software for quality (AV1 - SVT).
Handbrake in its last release (7.0) has introduced a full hardware and software support of the AVI format. My first performance tests on it are very impressive. Adobe premiere and others editors offer AV1 support.
I bought TMPGEnc MPEG Smart Renderer 5 a few years ago and it always worked fine. I could use the program without problem. But now I get this when I login :

I don't understand... all I did was reseting my password because I didn't have it anymore, but it shouldn't have caused that...
I have a number of videos recorded on a GoPro which is inverted on the mount.
The files have metadata Rotation=180, and AutoRotation=Down (set by GoPro).
Smart Renderer outputs all videos that are upside down, so doesn't obey the rotation flag.
I have changed the rotation flag in the cut/edit window - tried disabled, 90, 180, 270.
The resulting output is always upside down.
As a comparison, Cyberlink PowerDirector produces output that is the right way up.
Probably you joined your file with another file.
The rotation flag is recognized by the playback software, which then rotates
it 180 degrees for playback. However, if you combine multiple clips, the rotation
flag will be discarded.
I have to following I want to accomplish with Authoring works 7:
I have 12 clips images and 12 clips video each for 12 months.
I want at the highest level to enable to user to select either images or video
After the selection the image page or de video page menu is displayed with the 12 months to select from
The above I can do with the menu structure, but
when I select one of the months I want to return to the year page with 12 months and not continue playing the remainder of the months. Because now each of the 12 month entries work as a scene within a track, the return after this scene is not possible.
