I was wondering where I can get an audio editing program that can let me adjust the audio length to the same length of the video so when I use TMPG to encode it doesn't go out of sync..
There are a Couple good Programs that will do this Like Sound Forge and Cool Edit But What is the Best is Vegas Video cuz you can also load in the Video and adjust the audio length and see if they Line up and Be able to play the File before rendering the new audio file...
I hope that fixes my problem because the problem is when i encode the movie, at the beginning audio and video syncs and after like 1 minute or so it starts to go out of sync and by the end of the movie it's totally out of sync...
I have a SVCD video clip. When the video run to the middle, the picture become choppy (stop and go), but the audio is good. . No matter I run it from a disk or from my hard drive. The problem always happens at the same spot. Can I use TMPG to fix this problem, or other way to fix the problem?
Thank you.
can anybody please help me?recently i've been having problems with the audio being out of sync on certain xvid avi files.the problem has occured on about 10% of my files.i use virtual dub to create a wav file and altering the vfapi settings in tmpeg does'nt work, not just when encoding with tmpeg but also with panasonic mpeg1 encoder.i've tried different codecs including sld, nimo and divx pro.the files play fine on windows media player but are out of sync when encoded to mpeg1.So i thought i would try to simple multiplex the file having created mp3 audio at 224 k/bps and 44100 hz using dbpower amp.But when i try to select the file i get an error message saying"illegal mpeg audio stream".if i create the mp3 uncompressed using virtual dub i still get the same message. What am i doing wrong?
You can"t use the Multiplex on MP3 audio Cuz MP3 is not Compliant for Mpeg video streams, the Only audio format that can be multiplexed to Mpeg video in Tmpgenc is Mpeg1 layer 1 or 2 audio...and different codecs and Multiplexing will not fix your Problem....
While it is true that using mp3 will not result in a vcd or svcd compliant file, tmpgenc does permit it...otherwise why would you be able to browse to an mp3 in the audio part of the simple multiplex dialogue?
I am having the same problem, specifically that when I export an mp3 audio stream from virtualdub and then try to multiplex it in tmpgenc, I get an Illegal MPEG audiostream error. If I create the mp3 using LAME from within tmpgenc, it multiplexes it fine.
I wouldn't mind knowing what I need to do to mp3 files which come out of virtualdub to get them to work with tmpgenc?

If it is Part of the Video then there is Probably no way to fix it at all, and since it happens when you run it from your harddrive then it seems Not Fixable..
If there is no Picture in the Window while encodeing then there will not be a Picture in the Mpeg file, you can usually fix this by going to "Options" to "enviromental Settings" to "Vfapi Plugins" and Raise the "Direct Show" to "2"...
What do you mean widescreen?
Do you mean widescreen for a widescreen TV or widescreen for a normal 4:3 TV?
If it's for Widescreen TV then just set the input and output aspect ratio to 16:9.
If it's 4:3 then set the input to 16:9 and the output to 4:3.
For both set the 'Video arrange method' to 'Fullscreen (keep aspect ratio)'
Can you tell something about audio quality when I use your suggestion compared to using e.g. 'tooLAME' as an external encoder?
In other words which will give te best audio quality?
Is it true when using an external audio encoder I can still get bad results when setting the Sampling frequency convertor to low quality?
ASF files are Very easily corrupted and are usually full of errors, you might be able to fix any errors in the file by useing a Program called "ASF FiX" and Raiseing the "Direct Show File Reader" in the Vfapi Plugins might help..Even if you were able to encode the asf file it might have problems like be out of sync, this is because Microsoft doesn"t want poeple converting ASF files to any other format than ASF...
After installing CCE I get following error message in TMPGEnc: "can not be used as external encoder". I did re-install TMPGEnc but it did not help. How can I find out which Video Codecs are being used when and force TMPGEnc to use it's MGPEGII Encoder, which I paid for?
This is nothing to do with CCE, you may have enabled one of the options to use an external audio encoder or you are trying to encode to AVI using an incompatible codec.
Go to Option>Enviromental setting>Audio engine and disable the external encoder option.
I just tried TMPGenc for the first time, used the template for PAL and DVD quality but also used variable bit rate. The picture came out fine but the audio was slowed down by about 60% and is completely out of synch as a result. Weird. What did I do wrong? Thanks
Hello,
How can i ennable the resolution chooser in the wizard?
I have tried several options but no luck.
MPEG.WizardAutoChooseList.EnableVideoSize = True
MPEG.WizardAutoChooseList.VideoSize = <480X576, 325X576> <-- this is not correct! (what is the correct syntax?)
I there somebody knows the syntax of the above statement?
I have tried several options, but al are wrong.
I just don't think this option can be enabled.
It seems that this option is locked by the project wizard and not the template itself.
It makes sense otherwise the wizard would not be able to detail the video information and resolution at the beginning of the wizard.
Even if you delete the Video Width and Height settings from the template it will still default to 352x240.
The only way around is to use the 'expert' button and change it manually or create a template with the resolution you need.
