i've got a movie that i want to cut into two files(because of the size).
i used the source range to define this, and the first file works great. But when i start to encode the last part(a little underneath half of the movie) it says that it will take about 714hours to encode.i've tried to increase the priority in the option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in->DirectShow Multimedia File Reader to 2, but it didn't help.
hi
does anyone know why i'm getting a message tmpgenc caused an exception in 10h in module mp43dmod.dll at 0187:073e5c5d when i try to encode any film,i had just encoded d-tox successfully.
From looking at the error It seems that it is the Codec that is decodeing the file that is causeing the error. "mp34dmod.dll" is the Mpeg-4 codec that is decodeing the file, it could be getting the error if your AVI file has errors in it, this is Probably the case if your files are downloaded off the net..You can try useing Virtula Dub to scan for errors and Mask the errors then make a Direct stream copy of the file and try encodeing the copy..or maybe try Frameserveing the file to tmpgenc...
Hi. I'm testing the program now and it seems to work pretty well, but I have a question:
1. It seems that a user is not able to control the size of the playback window (e.g., 720 x 480 or 640 x 480). Is this true or am I missing a step? I see the area that refers to the window size but it's grayed out. Is that because I only have the test version?
Thanks a lot for your help and I look forward to hearing from someone.
TMPGEnc locks a lot of the settings. You can unlock any of them by right clicking on the field description and selecting unlock. You can also load an unlock template (unlock.mcf). It's in the Extra directory.
I just purchased my licensed copy and received my serial number. I can't see anything on the splash screen where I am able to key in the serial number.
I have the same problem, in fact I found your post looking for an answer. Hmm, seems like a good place to post one explaining the process. Let me know if you figured it out.
Have had Tmpgenc on my win 98 computer and worked great.
Now I have a new Athlon Xp 2700 on a gigabyte board and
windows xp pro. I'll use smartripper, then dvd2avi and then
feed it into Tppgenc for encoding. I keep getting errors and it
will not finish a job. Sometimes I get a floating point error, or
sometimes it blue screens and then reboots.... Any tips ?
When I batch encode my avi files TMPEG shuts down.
It worked the first time with 8 avi files, but now it only encodes the 1st avi
to mpeg1 then closes TMPEG. I've rebooted my windows XP twice.
any help or suggestions?
Hello - im trying to convert an xvid to vcd but when playing back the mpeg, the audio is about 2 secs out of sync. The source is fine and the audio was ripped seperatly with virtual dub... is there anyway of easily solving this prob or will i have to edit the good old wav and multiplex? cheers
I have had alot of these types of problems as well as the sync gradually go out as the movie plays. I avoid Virtual dub entirely and never extract the audio. This has to do with non standard frame rates used when encoding the avi which doesn't transfer correctly when separated prior to re-encoding to MPeg. You should be able to load the proper codecs and let Tmpgenc do it all with good results. Others have suggested that this doesn't work however I haven't seen any evidence to the contrary. There is many tutorials at Vcdhelp.com including Avi's with AC3 audio that basically all do the same so you might try there first. Tsunami filter pack does seem to work better for some reason just be sure to get the FULL pack and not the mini. Concentrate on getting TMPGenc doing it all as it will work and be the simplest solution in the end.
I have tried to Load 10 to AVI files, and I always get the same error-message, Can not open or unsupported. It did work to load a avi
What can i do? Thank you.
u need the right codecs installed for tmpg to recognise the file
search on google for "Nimo codecs pack" also install "Divx 5.0"(comes with lots codecs).
If you can watch the files then you have the correct codecs, you probably just need to go to "Options" to "enviromental settings" to "vafpi Plugins" and Raise the "direct show" to "2"...
